Zvarinograd

The United Communist States of Zvarinograd has begun work on a new class of aircraft, an AAT (anti-'aircraft threat') aircraft, to end the nightmares of logistics and tactical disadvantages of airpower and bring our airforce the status of one of the most powerful airforces in the world. This aircraft will spearhead assaults against AA guns and/or SAMs and shield other aircraft from enemy anti-aircraft fire from land, sea and air.
The aircraft will utilize our existing technology, the AZ-MD Point Defense Laser (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=106686), in destroying incoming missles. It will be modified to cover a greater range, enough to defend other aircraft from anti-air missle attacks. It is also intended to be an ABL aircraft, by concentrating all of it's lasers on the ballistic missle.
It will employ a heavy layer of AZ-CMT III Lightweight Composite Armour, to protect it from both AA gun and small arms fire and carry a small amount of ordnance, to make room for it's electronic warfare, targeting systems for the lasers and large hydrogen cell stacks to power the AZ-MD Point Defense Lasers positioned at strategic locations (nose, two underwing near the engines, tail and two above the fuselage) around the aircraft. Lastly, it will be built upon the C-130 Hercules, with slight modifications, dubbed the AATC-144 "Turtledove".

Yes, Christmas gave me the idea for the name. Heh.
This will end the problem of a missle attack against my other project (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=106738) and aircraft logistics. For those who don't know, my military doctrine is obsessed with airpower and I don't have a navy. That means I do not have naval support for massive air campaigns. Though I imagine that with this I wouldn't need the other two divisions of a military anymore, just my massive airforce.
