From the Office of the President of the Byzantine League





It is my sad duty to inform the United Nations that due to their openly hostile acts against nations and their right to express their sovereignty, and their refusal to allow for amendments to be passed in regards to past UN resolutions, the Allied States of the Byzantine League Here by refuses to comply with Gay Marriage. This nation refuses to submit to such an infringement on the sovereignty of a Nation. We here by decide that the UN is an ineffective Body, and I ask that my fellow nations join me in this Protest against the UN, until which time the Administrators of the UN realize the error of their ways, and are willing to listen to reason.

The Federation of Territorial Conquerors recognises the need for free speech, but believes that the large majority of UN Resolutions do NOT infringe on a nation's rights, and thus refuses to accept the stance of The Byzantine League.

Further outrageous actions and comments will lead to sanctions being invoked on The Byzantine League until such time as they are prepared to accept the responsibility that comes with UN Membership. This includes the acceptance of the results of all UN Resolutions.
