I don't want entire damn storefronts: I want to know if you stock them, if they've been modified at all, and how much they cost. Let's see those Eurofighters.

One word. Better.

Has thrust vectoring, making it more maneuverable. It has a bigger, more powerful radar, and electronics THREE times as advanced.

Hell, it carries the same amount of missiles.

We'd like to import 5 of them yearly for 60 NS years to use as a staple in a fighter force. We will pay you in installments of $135,000,000. All in all, you will receive 81,000,000,000 over 60 years for 300 fighters. *Money wired for first shipment*

We're willing to sell you 100 slightly used Eurofighters.
They've been upgraded with the lastest electronic countermeasure technology, airborne refueling capability for unlimited global range capability.
We can sell you 20 Eurofighters modified as fighter/bomber jets.
The jets are valued at around $45-70 million US dollars, but we are willing to negotiate prices if you are willing to buy at least two A310 or A330 Multi-Role Stratotankers.

Eurofighters modified as fighter/bomber jets.

Isn't that a bit redundant? i mean the typhoon can already carry a nice load of ordinance and has all the systems a bomber needs...

More power than which radar? the tranche 1 or tranche 3 version?

And how can a computer be 3 times as advanced? (which would using a literal meaning of being from the range of 2150-6000+) that isn't a valid claim at all. perhaps a more detailed ability measure would be useful.

Actually looking at the capabilites of the posted fighter shows that it actually sufferes in comparrision to the typhoon, your radar is likely very similar in terms of perfromance and your IRST system sucks majorly comapred to PIRATE

Sorry all just in a picky mood.

Archaic Slang Words: Since the Eurofighter isn't covered by any NS intellectual property rights we will biuld you 4 factories that togehter are capable of producing 75 airframes per and 150 engines per year, aswell as offering design and upgrade consultantcy, technical support and personel training for a mere $150million a year over 10 years.

Crookfur, not a bad assumption at all. Look at the air forces of many countries. Man yof them have altered or modified version of the world's most popular fighters. Look at China, many of them are homemade versions of Russian jet fighters with different schematics,airframes,avionics,etc...

Crookfur, I modified it

Eh, order confirmed.

I was saying it had better electronics, maybe I got a bit....carried away.

Crookfur, if you'll let me pay for the factory in smaller installments (preferably 75 mil a year; we'll be placed in debt if at any higher) over a double-period of time, we will accept the offer. Can we agree? The first payment will be wired on agreement.

ARe there no Typhoons, plain and simple? Do we have to manufacture them on our own?

That sounds good to me and the agreement can be considered reached.

The first allocation of personel and materials shall be dispatched shortly.

The Zoogie People:
Perhaps you could now contract Archaic Slang Words to take a percentage of fighters from his production lines or you could collaborate to share the costs.

That may sound acceptable, although I'm looking for a short contract of 6 years, 400 aircraft...ASW's contract differs greatly from mine, but I can lengthen mine into 10 years if you wish...tell me how much the (ecological of course) factories will cost, and how much will the Eurofighters cost?

Well i based the 4 factory output on the RL production levels produced by the 4 main centers involved in eurofighter constrcution.

But i suppose i could biuld 4 slightly higher capacity plants (each plant has a speciality: electonics, engine, airframe and final assembly/integration) which would give an output of 100 per year so that with 2 years plant construction and integration time you could have your 400 fighters within 6 years.

The cost of biulding and tooling the plants will likely be in the region of $1.4billion while a similar consultancy and support contract would cost in the region of $500million

In the end the fighters produced will likely cost you $35-50million each (Rl aquistion cost is $56-80million (£35-50m) but you would gain from a higher level of production capacity and slightly more efficient manufacturing). You could quite possibly export at around say $45million to make a profit and of course those you export reduce the actual production costs per aircraft.

So, what would the final cost be?
Crookfur
11-01-2004, 20:05
Total cost of the Crookfur services: $1.9billion
cost of 400 typhoons (assuming that production cost can be dropped to $30mil): $12billion
total cost: $13.9billion plus additional expenses at roughly $3billion

cost of purchasing typhoons on the market (airframes only, no maintainance facilities or support)@ say $50mil each: $20billion

As we speak the first engineering teams are departing to begin work on the plants.
