A Proposed And Finalized NS Calendar

Tell me if you like it... I'll explain why at the bottom.

1NS Year = 2 RL Day
1NS Month= 4 RL Hours
1NS Day = 4 RL Minutes
1NS Hour = 1 RL Minute
1NS Minute= 1 RL Second

For simplicity, we will make 1 NS Year 2 RL Days for starters. Now, we are going to presume that there are 12 months in the NS Year; therefore, we take the number of hours in 2 days (48 hours) and divide by 12, which equals 4 hours for a month. We take the hours of the month and convert them into minutes, which gives us 240 minutes. We divide this by 60, giving us 4 RL Minutes to 1 NS day. Since it will be near impossible to calculate hours and minutes and keep consistent, for conveniency I have set 1 hour to 1 minute and 1 minute to 1 second. This allows for 60 minutes to an hour, and now 60 hours to a day... somewhat lengthy, but you do what you have to.

Good to see it's getting support. If it gets enough, I'm going to ask to have it stickied.

Hm... I think time is free form in these forums, I mean people often have a couple hours IC events happen over a couple weeks OOC. So I doubt many people will take this on...

That depends on the RP.
If it's a diplomacy RP, so this is fine, but it you're RPing a 10sq km battlefield which may take more than a day, it's not. :)

I'm not for it at all. NS is a freeform RP site, and it allows each member to choose a calendar. During an RP, it's up to those that are RPing to choose a sufficient calendar. :?

Besides, if I used that calendar, then my current President would have been ruling for eighteen years. And he's still 32..tsk. :P
