As the Fuhrer sits over his desk in a dark room talking to leader of Jangle Jangle Ridge. Yes the plan is working perfectly just keep sending the A-10's to all nations. Be sure to get plenty of pictures. A secretary walks in My Fuhrer they are expecting you to give a speech on the A-10 incident.

To: All Nations

The United Puerto Rican Reich of Rodriquezland has spotted several A-10's over our airspace. We do not know to wich nation they belong to but they were taking pictures of our nation. Any nation caught will be dealt with.

Perhaps you may wish to select a different plane that might actually be of soem use in the photo recon role...

the A-10 really doesn't work as it designed to fly rahter low and getting it anywhere takes a huge tanker effort...

A-10's make "very bad" spy planes. They are close-support anti-tank planes and not super-sonic.

Actually none of the current main line IMINT aircraft (U-2, canberra and the modified P3 and hercs) are super sonic only a few tactical units based on converted fighters go super sonic.

Personally if it was me attempting to use fixed wing IMINT assets i would use airliners with nice camera load outs that way you can get them just about anywhere, noone relaly suspects them (even if they behave oddly they won't draw the attention a U2 would) and they have great rnage and can make you money in the process (and using side looking equipment you can get good ranges).

"Oh my god! The nation of Crookfur has discovered our secret!"

Damn, you were accurate about what I am doing. Since my country is surrounded by too many icebergs to maintain icebreaker patrol enough to build a seaport, the United Communist States of Zvarinograd turned to airpower. Our country only became completely open when every town, city and village had an international airport. We decided to make full use of our massive aircraft fleet and used some of our airliners for reconnaisance.

Lol ;)

OOC: it is interesting that the US are putting a lot of effort into making img recon platfroms out of thier "not quite so sisnister looking" aircraft for the sole reason that people tend not to thing much about hercs and P3 randomly appearing at airbases.

Of course Crookfur alreay uses our military spec A330s in lots of dark roles so it would only be a short hop to using modifiecations in aircraft used by Crookfur Airways.

Aurora is an unconfirmed aircraft. It's not a myth, it's not reality either. It just hovers somewhere in between, until people can prove it's existence. (Or lack thereof.) I had an aircraft project to build a hypersonic bomber based on it, it was completed but I eventually phased it out of service. Too many people saying it's mythical.

Yes, that's why it would be alarming if it was spotted all over the place. 8)

Now I remember the name, AZ-SSB-I "Lynx" Hypersonic Bomber. Designed to be faster than any anti-air missle currently in service. Modern-near future. Not supposed to be future technology, just one step above modern or modern, if Aurora is real.

The fact that my Airforce and aviation industry is both gigantic doesn't help fears of a massive hypersonic attack. My military is so obsessed with airpower, I can probably afford thousands of these, enough for what you said to become reality.

OOC: Bugger off, we're trying to RP here. Someone already set a story-line with A-10s.

Tarenteor taps a button, and the Fuhrer's face appears on a screen in front of him.
"It seems like everything is working. Now we go into phase two. I'm getting them to drop some water mines. Make it seem like they're blockading my port. That should divert attention.

As Andrew looks at the screen he smiles. "Alright the maby I will send a boat or two into the minefield."

If you have A-10s buzzing your countryside, I suggest you invest in anti-aircraft measures. If they are violating your soverignty, I think you have the right to protect your airspace...

OOC: Atreyu? You're like the second fan of them I've bumped into. Good band.

The "Black Widow" is one of the fastest figheter jets in the world, reaching speeds in excess of Mach 4.5 - heighest it has safely gone was Mach 6! This is one fast plane.

There are two models of it, the DD-1A and the DD-1B. The DD-1A is primarily an attack fighter/bomber, equiped with precision guided bombs and anti-aircraft missiles. The DD-1B is an survailance plane, or "spy plane" for short. It's speed and capability for high altitude suirvalance is almost unsurpassed with modern technology.
