Godmod likely comes from the game Doom, where when the cheat is activated you are considered to be on 'God Mode'. Godmoding can be many things: When RPing, telling your enemy the losses s/he has suffered, claiming technology your nation can't have [IE, nuclear weapons when your nation is two days old], things of that nature.

Thanks Akilliam... didn't feel like explaining that to a n00b...
A nOOb is a new player... the older nations tend to malign us cuz they can get away with it... their nations are too big for us to attack so we're stuck.
On the other hand, we do not know the rules of the game as well as them nor are we the best at creating threads.
Solution: Join an alliance! They can help you learn the ropes of the game. Right now I'm part of a "new nations alliance", so we help each other learn the game and can gang up to have some fun.

Actually we have about two "elder" nations in our group so they kinda humour us. I figure that they are looking long term, when our nations are larger we'll be able to do some real damage.
I've had one nation already call me a "nOOb" but considering I had not done anything like that I thought it just meant "new nation", like "newbie".
