She stepped off the plane, smiling and waving to the large crowd below. It was early Christmas Eve morning, and she was very bright and happy. Thousands were congregated at Arundemont International Airport, cheering and screaming. They had been waiting on her return home. The former Empress, Kei Cho, was back.
She had been rescued by Drakonian special forces, when Isla de Penguinata collapsed into sudden anarchy. A four-year civil war ensued, with Jake McDermont, the toppler of the evil Emperor Josef Van Guren, coming out victorious and establishing himself as President. After elections were held, he won with a 78% majority.
A few days ago several allies had contacted McDermont concerning Kei Cho's location, which he went to find. After discovering that the Drakonian leader had her within his reach, McDermont sent a request for her return home. She followed through, and was now where she always wanted to be....
President McDermont walked up to her, helping her climb down the steps from the large 747. After the two met at the bottom of the stairs, they kissed each other on the cheek, and turned to the crowds smiling, with hands joined as if they had just won an election.
McDermont walked to the microphone..
"My fellow Penguinatans, and the international community. I have an announcement that will stun you all. I would like to welcome Queen Kei I!"
The crowd went silent with utter shock. They had not expected this. They had only expected the return of a former empress, not a new queen. She did not falter however, and smiled brightly. Walking up to the microphone, she said, "I apologize about that. Prime Minister McDermont got a little excited with his announcement."
This only made the thousands drop their jaws to the ground. They had not expected such a turn of events. However, one man proclaimed, "HELL YEAH!" The crowds then went wild, cheering and clapping. Some were angry and left, but most were overjoyed...
