President Anderson walked to the Podium in the New White House. Assembled infront of him were the leading members of the nations press.

"Good Morning. I have news regarding the developing situation that we have become involved in concerning our new allies and regional location.
The negotiations are not proceeding as well as had been originally hoped, Secretary of States Tom Wilson is flying out today to try and help, but unfortunately it does not appear that the negotiations will succeed.
Therefore I must initiate Presidential Order 354 which calls upon nearly 1 million reservists to report to their local National Guard Armoury. I have also mobilized Military Units across the Country and ordered all Military Installations and Personnel to a DEFCON-2 Alert Status.
This does not mean that negotiations have failed, for there is still some hope, but we must be prepared in the eventuallity that they do.
Also i have ordered that Home Security is stepped up, and Small units of National Guard are moving to Airports, Ports and other Entry Points into our country to further secure them aqainst Terrorists or any other unseen aggressors.
These measures are all precautionary and none are meant to stop Citizens from going about their ordinary lives, this will in actual fact make it safer to do so. Thank you."

The President left the stage amid reporters shouting questions, he had an aide to deal with those today. He moved towards the Situation Room where his top Military Advisors were discussing deployment of forces. A Secret Service Agent opened the door and all inside stood.

"Sit down Gentlemen" said the President as he sat in his leather chair.

Present were National Security Advisor Robert Jelfs, the Head of the Joint Chiefs fo Staff General Siler, the Joint Cheifs General Bob Gringer of the Army, General James Jenkins of the Air Force, General Howard Kent of the Marines and Admiral Jason Robinson of the Navy. There were also present the Head of the IHIA Jennifer Powell and the Head of the FBI James Stewart.

"Right, General Siler what do you suggest?" contiued the President after they had all sat down.

"Sir, we dont want to be seen aggrivating the situation so i propose that our Carrier Battle Group in the region stays close to the positions that they are at. We are moving additional CBG's to the area now."

"Approved, continue General"

"We then move the I Army Corps (Heavy) to the Ports along with the the II Army Corps. This will mean that the I Army is ready for deployment."

"Also Approved, keep me posted General."

"Yessir."

Chancellor Springfield was pacing in his office. He had heard the news of the USIH mobilizing. Knowing that if M-pire and his allies heard of this that they would obilize, the chancellor had ordered his top military advisors in town for Christmas to his office to discuss the possibel war. Presently, General William Nelson walked though the door.

Chancllor Springfield approached him. "Good morning Will!"

"It isn't good in the streets Jack, I don't the people took your speech on Monday well." General Nelson was apparently very upset at something.

"What is it Will? I can't have my best commander down in wartime."

"It's General Johnston, he's not feelin' well."

"NO!" The chancellor stood shocked. "I'm ordering a full investigation! Only M-pire would stoop that low."

"It's that Foriegn Strain of Influenza, incurable."

"Awww, horse." Just then another man entered the office. It was Secretary of state Jeffrey Barton.

"I know what that means. Whenever you say horse it means that something just got screwed up. Broke up with another girlfreind?"
Barton implored.

General Nelson turned to secretary Barton. "Foriegn Flu, on Johnston."

"Aww horse!" Secretary Barton cursed his luck and that flu strain. "Not mike, only Michael can take out M-pire's forces in the time it takes to save us. We're all dead if he doesn't get well."

Chancellor springfield turned around in his chair. Laptop sitting on the desk. "I wouldn't quite say that, Jeff. Just a few hours ago we finished diplomatic proceedings with The United States of Independent Hitmen. Actually, I should say, they just joined us. They are much lrger than The USSF and could probably take on M-pire and his allies alone. But we don't want that kind of a fight. We want a quick death blow. If M-pire doesn't take the hint that we are more powerful, he will face the armies of Fulovit, and he will see how the pen is stronger than the sword."

"What do you mean?" Secretary Barton asked.

"Let's throw out a thanks to M-pire, If it wasn't for him, Gondolin would still be 10 nations, but now it's 18. We have spied, stolen and talked our way through Moon Colny I and have shown him already that the pen is stronger than the sword. Tell Lieutenant Bosen to activate 'the bug'."

"Mr Chancellor" said the President as the phone was picked up on the other end. "My Government and I wish to know if we can construct a military installation in your fair country. We will pay for the land as well as many other things"....

Chancellor Springfield listens to the request. "No! Completely out of the question! It is not necessary and goes against our policies!" There is a long pause. "Aww horse, I'm just messin with you. This land is my land, but some of it can be yours."
