The votes have been cast, and the results are in. The Armed Republic of Rilos has a new President to replace Jefferson Crawford, who is forced out due to term limits.
The new President of Rilos is Kath James. James won in a stunning victory over left-wing candidate, Manuel Harris, who was considered an almost shoe-in. We now take you live to President James' speech at the Parliament grand assembly.
"Citizens of Rilos, rejoyce that you now have a strong man as President. I will lead this nation to where it has never gone before. I will lead this nation to amazing places. I am a strong man for an equally strong nation. I am a man of great vision. I have wonderful dreams of what is to come for Rilos.
However, none of these dreams can come true if we do not due something in exchange, first. When I look at the Rilos government, I see a puny, pathetic waste of time. We need to be stronger. We need to be bigger. We need to be more powerful. And I am the man who can make the Rilosian government all of those. We will be stronger. We will be bigger. We will be more powerful.
And we will also be something else. We will be part of something.
As I'm sure all of you must know by now that the United Empire of Colerica, our closest neighboring nation, sent troops to our nation. There are over fifty of Colerican Marines inside and around this building. They were sent here, at request of former President Crawford, to protect us and to watch over this election. There has been death threats on both myself and Mr. Manuel Harris since we began this election campaign.
Getting back to what I was saying before, we are to become part of something. Something big. Bigger than us. My first act as President was signing a document verifying that we are no longer the Armed Republic of Rilos. We are now the Colony of Rilos. We are stronger. We are bigger. We are more powerful. We are a colony to Colerica. We are a part of the United Empire of Colerica.
Citizens, respected officials, let me explain my actions. Rilos, as the Armed Republic, was weak. Vulnerable. Pitiful. But Rilos, as part of the United Empire of Colerica, is strong. There is strength in numbers and we will prove it. We salute our loyality to the Emperor of the United Empire of Colerica, Maderic Thra, and all of his greatness. We are his loyal subjects, vowing to never disobey his wishes. We offer him our lives, our fourtunes, and our sacred honor. Rilos, together with Colerica, as one in the same will rise to new heights.
