LRR needs help in nanomachine development

Inspired by THe Capsule Corporation and the Resi Corporation's efforts in the fields of nanomachineing, more specifically the Capsule Corporation's ChloroBorg technology, LRR has decided to develop a method to repair our larger ships and installations with nanomachines to supplement our current fleets of repair bots.

LRR has been using nanomachine construction techniques for a very long time for architecture, but never have we attempted to adapt the technology to ships in a zero-G environment. To develop such a system on our own would break the bank, and purchasing such a system for all of our cap ships would also break the bank. So, we are looking for partners, preferably with experience with nanomachines or with powerful economies. All development partners will have production and sales rights.

What we are looking for is a system that can cover holes and leaks on the outer hull.

We will assist you. Once you come up with a specific plan of action and/or a cost assessment, we will provide the manpower and/or funds accordingly.

The USSF will provide one chip of 1 GB RAM for a Dell 4600 PC (sold Seperately) This is a great deal as Dell sells its RAM, as no other RAM will work, at very High Costs.
OOC: I have had a grudge against them ever since I bought my extra RAM and had to pay for specialty RAM. I just had to get that out of my system.
IC: Actually, we will provide whatever you need, just name the price and the project.

Ok, the plan.....

Say there's a section of hull that gets breached by a plasma or antimatter cannon, so there's no hull left in that section. We plan to be able to grow back that hull with nanomachines, probably controlled centrally. The nanomachines can be controlled by the amount of resources we feed into them. They will have zero intelligent qualities and will be controlled either by the ship's AI or the damage control teams.

The estimated cost is around 250 billion USD, give or take. LRR has contributed 130 billion of its meager (400 billion USD) research budget to the project.

OOC: I'd make the post more involved, but I am seriously tired.

IC: Very well, we can put up half of the remaining required funds. That would total roughly 60 billion USD.

Our greatest scientific mind, Dr. Outov, has just arrived at the Farstation and is on his way to assist you in your research efforts.

Ok. But he is about 10 ly away from where the research is happening. It is being conducted over the WWSETI planet in the WWSETI system, about 10ly away from sol.
