Colerica Imperial News has just confirmed that the two battleships, the CSS Phantom and the CSS Apparition have anchored off the coast of the country of Rilos. The 5 Tomahawk A & T helicopters that followed them have landed in Rilos' capital city.

We now go live to General Azben Koren's press conference...

General Koren and General Wade take to the stage, Imperial Royal Gaurds surrounding them on all sides, NE-19 rifles raised and their bayonets glistening in the light.

General Koren: "We are here to confirm, officially, that United Empire military forces have landed in the Armed Republic of Rilos. We cannot release too senstative of information as of this moment, but we will answer some brief questions."

Reporter #1: "Why did the Empire's forces go to Rilos? What's the purpose?"

General Koren: "While I can't disclose the answers to both of the those questions, I can say that the Colerican military forces in Rilos are on a very important mission of national importance."

Reporter #2: "What kind of mission? Peace-keeping? Pre-empted strike?"

General Koren: "I'm sorry that I cannot answer that question. The Emperor requested us to send the troops, so we obeyed his wishes."

Reporter #3: "How many troops are actually there?"

General Koren: "50 Marines are on the ground of Rilos as we speak."

Reporter #4: "Why won't you tell us anything more? What are you hiding?!"

General Koren looks at General Wade and sighs. "I hate to do this. Actually, no I don't. Gaurds," Koren says with a wave of his hand.

Quickly, two Imperial Royal Guards snatch the reporter and drag him off.

Reporter #5: "Why are the two battleships anchored in Rilos' waters?"

General Koren: "They are there to make sure no...alternative plans happen on the part of the Rilosians. Mark that we are not going to war with Rilos. This is a simple...negoitiation of terms, if you will, with the leaders of Rilos."

Reporter #6: "How about the--"

General Koren, interrupting him: "We can no longer answer anymore questions. I'm sorry."

That was General Azben Koren's brief press conference regarding the established landing of Colerican soldiers in Rilos. As you heard General Koren say, we have over 50 Imperial Marines in Rilos' capital city, right this very second.

It's interesting to note how the General worded what he said with that last question. "Negoitiation of terms?" We will try to convey what exactly he means. We here at the government-ran Colerica Imperial News are certain that this isn't an act of war or a pre-empted strike. We'll continue to cover the story as it unfolds....

Hattia requests to know why Colerica invaded Rilos...

The United Empire of Colerica wishes to express that is the landing of Imperial Marines in Rilos' capital city is not an invasion. Over the past several months, Rilosians have been coming through to the United Empire by the boatloads. Colerica has been flooded with Rilos immigrants.

We have sent Imperial Marines to their capital to straighten-out their current elections. The same terrorist group that attacked our nation, but has since been removed from Colerica, the Global Liberation Army is attempting to sway the elections. Our Marines are their to stop them from doing such.

The landing of troops in a sovereign nation, without their permission is an invasion and will be considered as such. We ask that you remove your forces from Rilos and do not try to interfere in their domestic affairs.

And if the Rilosian government or Rilosian government officials asked for our aid? Is that an invasion? We will not remove our forces until their votes have been cast and their winner is elected, fair and square. We are in current communication with the current President of Rilos as we speak. We will patch our conversation with him over to your nation to assure your government that we are in Rilos to settle their problems, with the request of the Rilosian government.

We are there only for the purpose of bettering the lives of the Rilosian citizens, I assure you....

If Rilos requested your help and you can provide proof, then we apologize.

[Transcript of the telephone conversation between our Magistrate of State and the Emperor's younger sister, Kressi Thra, and the President of Rilos, Jefferson Crawford from two days ago.]

Jefferson Crawford: "Ms. Thra, I'm glad to hear you. How are you?"

Kressi Thra: "Cut to the chase, Crawford. Why did you call me?"

Jefferson Crawford: "As you may now, I'm only a few days from being replaced in the Presidential election."

Kressi Thra: "So? What is Colerica suppose to do about you being kicked from office?"

Jefferson Crawford: "The Global Liberation Army."

Kressi Thra: "What about them?"

Jefferson Crawford: "They are operating in Rilos. Recent bombings on some of our government buildings prove that it's them."

Kressi Thra: "Again, what are we suppose to do about it?"

Jefferson Crawford: "Since Rilos is so close to Colerica, we believe they may use our nation as a stepping-stone to jump back into your's. Listen, they are trying to fix the election to favor a candidate named Issac Romm. He's the unsavory bastard of all unsavory bastards."

Kressi Thra: "And?"

Jefferson Crawford: "We would greatly appreciate any aid you could provide for us in monitering the election. Our security forces are spread so thin as it is. We believe they may strike the general assembly in Parliament when they announce my successor."

Kressi Thra: "I'd have to talk things over with the Emperor. Not to mention MagWar Jericho and MagForgnAffairs Danton. They'd all have to be involved in this."

Jefferson Crawford: "Any help you can give us would be most appreciated. I'm glad I spoke with you and not your brother. You have always been the more sensible of the two Thra's."

Kressi Thra: "For your sake, I won't tell that one to Maderic."

Jefferson Crawford (laughter): "That's probably for the best. Until we speak again, good day, M'lady."

Kressi Thra: "Goodbye, Jefferson."

[/transcript of conversation]

We believe this is well enough of proof to legitmize our landing of troops. If your nation still objects, then we could possibly set up a direct communication with President Crawford himself.
