The recently formed Confederacy of Li Kam States, using technological assistance from its partners in Europe, aims to bring to suitable countries, the power for its infantry to enforce the peace around the world. The Confederacy of Li Kam States first, however aims to assess the potential market for world export. Below are the details of the preliminary systems, along with pictures showing the key features - new optics, upgraded weapons and communications.

Equipping the infantry section with an integrated suite of FIST systems will greatly enhance its effectiveness in key capability areas of:

C4I (communications and situational awareness) - shoot round corners, night and thermal equipment for every soldier, each soldiers own laptop.

Lethality (weapons and sighting systems): smart bullets, digitised weapons, improved leathality of the 5.56 round - aimed to cause the damage of a .359 at effective ranges up to 800m. The capability to engage soft-skined targets and man sized targets, behind cover with one weapon.

Sustainability (logistics) - Caseless ammunition that is cost-effective enough to be issued to every soldier.

Survivability (body armour and stealth) - To work against visual, infra-red and night vision equipment.

Mobility (weight and navigation). Get around without having to carry hundreds of traditional rounds in your bergens.

Enhancement to countries is offered to all those who field 5.56mm rifles, such as the M16/M4 range of weapons. Unlike systems such as 'Land Warrior', FIST will be affordable, and still function when your batteries fail.
Wars are won with the infantry - not the F-xxxxx super-uber bomber.

The Confederacy of Li Kam States appreciates inital opinions, endorsements and recommendations to its project.

Heck, that is much better than the Land Warrior project which is too expensive for my taste, my army is basically at US Army standard and i would like to ask could you equip my entire Infantry forces in under 2 years? If so i will pay you half the money in advance?

Nice...

Hattia is interested in equipping our soldiers with this system...

Numbers of infantry are useful here - however the Defence Research and Development Agency is tweaking equipment ready for the export market at the moment. Initial systems will roll off the production lines within a couple of days and a price list will be up within the next day. As for Hirgizstan, your offer sounds good and operational readiness should be availiable within 2 years. As we grow our production will increase however, and the deadline is likely to be met well before this. Hattia your intrest is noted.

At the moment, we are looking at an inital unit cost of 50 000 USD. This price is of course negotiable. (In comparision with The Land Warrior 70 000 USD per unit).

This can be reduced should you upgrade your existing weapons with the FIST system, rather than purchase new SA80-A3 weapons. (OOC: Don't believe the crap surrounding the SA-80 A2" - I've fired the damn thing.)

FIST is intended for front line combat infantry - bear that in mind when you give requests of numbers.

The FIST system includes (specifics only for customers):

C4I (Comms): Integration with the fighting force, at section level all the way up to batallion and battle-group size. Relays own/enemy positions using data from GPS and battlefield survailience - transmitted to all units giving situational superiority. Used for issuing sitreps, orders and monitoring supply levels of the individual soldier.

Protection and Mobility: Lightweight ballistic protection. Reduced signature materials and systems. Load carriage to function as an extension of the body, rather than a hinderance. NBC and biostat monitoring.

3rd Generation identification friend or foe systems.

Weapons: New 5.56mm caseless round designated L5A1. Increased ballistic performance, penetration and leathality. Modification of SA80-A2 to A3 standard. All weather and 24hr sighting capability. Weapon to shooter digital link, fire 40mm grenades of various types.

Logistics: Auto re-supply.

Sale is subject to background checks of the country - don't want to sell to countries which are likely to attack us back! Detailed sales will be carried out via telagram. Inital requests to be posted on this forum. Spread the word, people.

This is good stuff. Very well displayed. I'm interested in the purchase of between 5 and 20 thousand systems.

General Ramirez you're looking at a total unit cost of 5 billion to be delivered over the next week. This includes the whold kaboodle - new weapons, everything. If you want to negotiate - telegram me 8) !

True, the best weapon a soldier has is his mind. This is helped mainly by the quality of training and experience. These tools just make his job easier! E.g. look at the U.S - all the tech. you could want. However, the British Army has shown superiority in peacekeeping and in some areas of the battlefield. The high cost of training put into a British soldier and plus a live-fire 'training' environment (Northern Ireland, kind of what Baghad may be like in about 5 years) makes one of if not the best military force to carry out ops around the world. Don't argue, most military analysists agree.
