the Union ironclad Lincon heads for Ft. Lee with ten other ironclads. Strange is that they carry the flag of North Carolina.

OOC: 40 inch parrots? That's like, 3 feet! The kick would shoot the thing back to Arkansas! Plus you could only fit one shot in the limber. I'm an artillery reenactor, and our gun is only a three incher. Parrots aren't much larger. You're talking a thousand pound if not more shot. Canister that takes out everything for miles. A shell to destroy Washington.

The Army of California made mostly of cowboys and bankers was the best sharpshooters in the Union Army. One man standed up and began waving the flag of California. the men on the shore knew what was going to happen. The first attack on a rebel fort by a western union army.

Behind the Union Ironclads sat a fleet of Spainish Warships, under the command of Commodore Fernanco, sent on a mission to re-establish Spainish trade for Southern Cotton. Unfortunately, the Napoleonic Wars left his fleet with little reports from the Americas, and what little intellegence he had, they all pointed out that the South had won many major victories against the North in Northern Virginia. He figured that these reports were outdated, but he did not imagine that His Majesty would send him to fight Northern American troops in the South, after the war had ended...

Ahead of him lay the Southern American coastline, and on it was a tall, strong, fort waving the Confederate Flag proudly. Unfortunately, he also spotted a Union fleet of Iron Warships attcking it... he had heard of these 'Ironclads' that the United States had invented, but he never imagined that they could produce an entire fleet of them... the Commodore figured that now was as good a time as ever to show the South that they were here to help.

"All crews, prepare to intercept the Union Iron Ships attacking that fort!", shouted the Commodore.

"Gentlemen, we are here to asssit the Southern Americans fight for their independence! We once had control over their State of Florida, and His Majesty had decided that we are to renown that sanction, and help it gain its freedom! The South has proven itself in combat, now lets prove ours!"

The crews of his ship, the Jinet replyed with a roar of joy, they were finally going to war! With that, the Spainish fleet of 13 Wooden Ships of the Line, moved in behind the Union ships, and opened fire! Shell after shell rained down upon the Union vessels, but the Fort didn't look like it would hold out too much longer...

As Enemy troops rode at me on horseback I lost my temper. I ordered the Abrams tanks I had hidden in the shed to do their worst. I suddenly realized my mistake, if they saw the technology I had, they would discover the time machine and destroy the Space Time continuum! "Holy QWERTY" I said. Upon reflection, that isn't a mushroom cloud,,,,its uh, a cumulo-nimbus cloud formation, yeah thats the story I'm goin with.

Meanwhile, on the Jinet...

"Sire, our shells aren't effecting them!", shouted Captain Fanico to the Commodore; as one of the Union Ironclads was struck. "See sire! Our shells bounce off their plating! We cannot break them!"

"What of our Grapeshots?"

"We're out of range sir... but..."

"Then bring us in closer, I want those ships destoryed so we can save that fort! We need to find a Southern-held landing spot, so we can deploy our forces! We need to sink those ships Captain!"

"... but sir! The Confederates has also joined the battle! They have their Own Iron Warships, and are in too close to the Union's to the point where we run the risk of hitting our allies! We need to stop firing, at least until the Confederates withdrawl from the Sea Battle!"

Just then, a Dixie Ironclad rammed into a Union Ironship.

"These men are fanatics!", shouted the Captain. "How can we assist fanatics in warfare?"

"Did we not fight any less against Napoleon? Did our towns not raise Militia to fight with the British against the French Armies? We fought like Fanatics in the past as well, do not look upon them so harshly, remember, they were once our brothers, we once had Florida."

"Understood sir, but what about the battle?"

"Hold your fire until either side withdrawls, we cannot risk hitting an allied ship."

"Yes, sir!"

The the whole 50,000 man group jumped the walls and attack the fort.

OOC: Woah, woah woah... 50,000 men in one regiment?! Thats pretty extreme, the most were ususally 600 (as infantary, about 300 as Cavalry). And why are cavalry attacking a fort? They'd take pretty heavy losses, since they cannot fight in a battle line formation effectivly...

And then.....The French came into sight. "My god" I said "They have croissants!" They mocked us, and made fun of us until we could take no more and surrendered.

Abord the Jinet

"Sire, the Confederate Warships are pulling back!", shouted the Captain.

"Hmm, perhaps they spotted us... well, if even the Southern Iron Ships can't defeat the Northern ones, then we are surely against a powerful foe...", said the Commodore. "And yet, we may be out classed... but we are not out gunned, or out manned! Captain, send a report to the Confederate Warships to-"

"Sire, they've already retreated."

"I see... no matter, Captain I want our fleets to be brought into Grapeshot range of those Ironclads! Our regular cannons may not be able to hurt them, but out Grapeshots will surely cause a couple cracks in their armor... also, have 11 of our ships, including the Jinet, form boarding parties, with ships those small they can't posibly have a srtong Marine force! If we cannot take them by cannon, we'll take them by force! Have the other 2 ships attack the Iron Ships from the sides, they'll have a shorter, but wider target to hit at. We may save that fort yet!"

"Yes Sir, I'll have the other ships informed!"

With that said, then Spainish Fleet moved in closer to the Union Ironclads; under a field of smoke and fire from their cannons.

The 3rd Alabama Regiment, now moving through newly rebuilt Atlanta, had only 1 day to go on its journey towards Fort Lee in Virginia, they quickened their pace as it was a straight shot with only 1 more stop at Raleigh until they arrived South of DC, ready to defend Southern territory from the invaders.
24-12-2003, 05:56
OOC: ok... what the hell?! Where's the Union player at?! Everyone's waiting on him! He needs to post his losses, tell us whats hes doing, and RolePlay! WHY ISNT HE DOING THAT!? If the original Union player doesnt get back soon, someone else take his place, just continue with the storyline and dont god-mode.
