[AFRP]New Tank in the works+Engine Design

AFRP News Division

Today AFRP Ground Weapon Division (GWD) has announce that a new tank, currently named "Lightning" is in the works:

This tank sports a 75mm Cannon and a 12mm Rotary Chaingun for infantry supression. A brief release on purpose statistics are as follows:

Crew: 1 (1 pilot/gunner)
Speed: 60-75 MPH
Armor: Titanium/Depleted uranium composit, steel mesh, ceramics. 2.1inches
Weapons: See Above
Systems: Infrared targeting; Mikosolf Brand Neural Interface, Proximity dectors, passive radar, contained enviorment for 1hour.

More is to be released as designs continue!

(OOC: Yes I know where I got it and I got dibs on all non-partical weapons from Planetside. Comments Welcome!!)

Furthermore, AFRP Air Weapon Division (AWD) is looking into combining more powerful engines into a Harrier like design for future fast moving transports or combat vehicles.

Its got small weapons cause its a light assault tank/escort vehicle. My ain battle tank got a 150mm smooth bore on it!

Basically a half-track tank built for speed and pack style hunting/escorts.

Furthermore the newly redesigned harrier type engines have been tested to lift in upwards of 13.5 tons per engine, however fuel effiecieny is a slight problem that is being looked into.
