The original Recruitment post for this was posted by one of my players, But ill give a more comprehensive one. The 1000AD game has finished and were Moving onto a Greecian city states RP so as to have a more compound (by which i mean involved) game.

Its sort of a structured RP, simmilar to a baord game like risk militarily, the larger at more complex parts of the game however are political and social. Sign up below

Anyway, Syracuse is a medevile/napolionic history buff. His strongpoint isn't Greece. He told me on MSN.

Your confusing me, lol, who was Syracuse, Athens, Corinth, etc...oh well can't join I know nothing about actual greek military warfare except the Phalanx and I don't have too much time...heh, ask Penguisiana (Japan) he's been bugging me to be a nation on his board...;) but I'm just a mod there.

Eperus is a Fine choice my good sir. Eperus and Corcya were what started the pelloponesian War. Well, gave the excuse for it anyway. Like Belgium and WWI for britain.

well, actualy, Bzyantium DID exist. But it was a small town, and not very powerful. It was actualy part of thrace

While I am a history buff and as such interested in this exercise, I must claim some measure of ignorance in Greek city-states. I would also like to draw attention to Atlantis' map. It gives the impression that not only does Byzantium indeed exist, but is also a largish city-state.

My style of play would generally tend to defensive, building strength and alliances with strategies to match...

Take either Mycanae or Delos if you want to follow that strategy...

I saw a Mycene, which is already taken, but no Mycanae. So, Delos it is.

My message WAS aimed at the player representing Athens. I don't know who that is precisely (the only clue is that they are the one who played Venice last time, which means nothing to me) so I made it a general comment. Do you think you could be more specific about who the Athenian player is? And can I get confirmation of my role as Delos, or am I not yet included?

Athens: wait until you are an actual city state, then ask him on the RPG forums

Heh, byzantium wasnt part of Thrace, it wasnt powerfull either, but it was it governed itself. and its not part of greek thrace, its part of Roman thrace, the region. Play Byzantium if you want .

Over 1500 City states existed at one point, Ive just clumped them together into Vassal States ect.

Delos is a seperate power aswell. You dont need to ask him, i just forgot to colour the island cluster and therefore it got left white

Its a Rich Trading Post like Naxos and Smyrna.

The date was decided at 520BCE Before the Delian League was created, Athens is calling it the Delian league because it sounds better then his last name "The Tripartiate" the alliance of 3 in the medieval RP It eventually got to about 6 member in the one alliance, but it began to break down with the dawn of Saracen Power.

Athens is being Played by Abreyad our Abreuyad uck its something like that. The game will be starting Soon so all signups should be in, we do except signups Mid game though, and youll be componsated for the ammounts missed.
