Kazakhstania

Kazakhstania has been planning to release a new transport helicopter for a while now. We have received much competition lately, and have not produced much for a while. Lately, a lot of projects have been completed, and this is just one. Our whole aerospace company, which is experienced and leaft on its own for a while, has came up with this.
We hope you like it, and it shall serve in our country and hopefully many others. Thankyou, and good will to you all.
Ka-64 ЧЕРНЫЙ КИТ "Black Whale"

Design
Designed and based on the Ka-60 "Kasatka", the Ka-64 "Black Whale" is very much and upgrade on it. Designed to be a medium sized transport helicopter to transport troops, it is a aircraft of the future. It may not be stealth, but it is very modern and capable of a wide range of roles, including troop transport, Search and Rescue and Close Air Support.
Lets start with the engine. In this helicopter there are three engines, much inspired by United Elias's EA-24. This increases reliability and means power to the rotors is increased. This in turn, means more can be carried. The engines are in fact gas turbines, and power both the main rotor and tail rotor. The tail rotor is encased in the tail assembly.
To stabilise the aircraft there are several 'winglets' and flap assemblies. It is a sleek aircraft, and the landing gear is fold up. The main crew area aswell as the whole helicopter has been lengthened, and is longer and wider than the Ka-60. This encompasses the 3 engines and the widened and largened crew compartment.
The cockpit is open plan, and allows for easy access. A HUD has been added, as well as various screens. Dials are still in plentiful supply as you dont have time to 'flick screens' in flight. The whole interior is easier to navigate, and seats can be added for long journeys. However, the seats are often taken out for missions.
The gunship version has winglets comng out the side, and various turrets on the front for the electronic displays. The Search and Rescue version has a very long airframe, which allows for extra doors to be added, for guns to be attached to. This ends the tour of the design of the aircraft.
Systems
The basic version does not have a great many systems. The flight controls are fly by wire, powered by a supercomputer in the cockpit. The cockpit screens are large and display a lot at once, though there are only 4. Dials are still cascaded across the cockpit. The flight controls are still the basic RPM control, joystick and rudder pedals.
The gunship version is the one with lots of stuff. It has identical features to the Ka-58, which are detalied here:
Our proudest system is the JTIDS, Joint Tactical Information Distribution System. This computer allows information to be passed quickly and efficiently to other helicopter, ground units and aircraft. This gives great scout capability, in that information can be passed with the use of cameras and imagers, and automatically passed on.
The targeting system is second to none. Using easy controls via the screens in the cockpit, targets can be assigned and aimed at with ease. The targeting system automatically targets the cannon where the helmet sensors are pointed, or are trained on targets assigned. All payloads are targeted easily and weapons catered for by the computer and profiles are merged, via Thermal, Heat seeking sensors that can be targeted.
The supercomputer that runs it all is liquid nitrogen cooled and very, very small. Still, it can manage the flight controls, targeting and JTIDS in nanoseconds. It allows for learning, and can be automatically programmed to do certain things. Target info can even be passed on mid mission.
The pilot and co-pilots helmets use verious special gadgets. The gunners helmet targets the cannon, and both can be use Night, Thermal and Infrared Imagers. The helmets are pretty special affairs.
The gunship version adds some very special stuff. It uses FLIR, Target Seekers and adds countermeasures, like Chaff and a jammer. And that, ladies and gentlemen, concludes our tour of the systems.
Weaponary
The basic version has limited weaponary. It comes with one winglet, which can carry Four AT-15 ATGM's each. These are self targetted, and are fairly basic in profile. The Search and Rescue version has the same mounting rack, and has two windows for firing the fixed weapons out of. These weapons are mounted M134 Miniguns.
The gunship verion is special. On the front are twin 30mm cannons targetted by the gunner. These are the same as on the Ka-58. The mounting racks on either side have two slots, and can carry 8 ATGM's on each winglet. There are two slots underneath for rocket pods, aswell.
The Ka-64 is very basically armed, but can still provide great AT support.
