The enlightened region of the Logarchy joins the world stage

Our borders are yet few, our nations tiny, but our ideals shine forth brightly. Our people serve the Platonic ideal of "The wisest shall lead." We wish to bring wisdom, rationality, and enlightenment to the world.

Our region is rich in precious metals, including valuable radioactive isotopes for use in nuclear power and medical testing. Our soil is dark, deep, and loamy- the ground itself cries out for a wise hand to till it and make it bloom.

Bring us your tired, your poor, your rational and wise- our region welcomes you with open arms.

"Its always nice when new nations join the world stage. I welcome The Logarchy. Just always remember to check out the RP rules here"

Welcom to the world stage. Har Land officials wish to offer you some trade agreements. Har Land is specifically looking for Iron Ore, Tungsten, precious metals, and small quantities of uranium. We ask if you have these materials and are willing to trade, and what things you request in return.

OOC: Thank you for not saying you have a million nukes and will destroy us all. It's great to see sensible people do actually still join.

Well, Har Land, at the moment our iron mines are working at full capacity for our own internal economic needs, so I must regretfully say that we have no iron for trade. Our tungsten needs are not considerable at the moment, and we have some surplus capacity of tungsten to trade.

We have begun limited forays into some of our more mountainous regions for the purposes of prospecting; our mule teams brought back a fair quantity of gold. We were going to use the gold to build up our bullion supply; however, seeing as how our economy is strong, we are considering doing away with the gold standard altogether. Therefore, we have some surplus gold to trade.

We do not intend to build nuclear weapons at any time in the near future- that sort of permament despoiling of the landscape would make Plato weep. We have some pitchblende Uranium ore that we've been digging out of a mine relatively nearby the capital; the radioactivity makes the farmers nervous, so we would be glad to trade it away. It is only a small quantity as of yet, and we do not have the facilities to refine the uranium out of the pitchblende. Therefore, I am prepared to offer you pitchblende ore that, if refined, would produce approximately three hundred pounds of pure uranium. Please be advised that this will exhaust our uranium supplies for some time until we can build a large enough industrial base to support further exploration and mining of ore.

In return, our needs include:
Textiles. Our textile industry is all homespun, woven materials, and our mills are desperately overworked as is.
Industrial machinery. All of our few factories are completely overworked and we need to build more.
Titanium. As of yet we do not have the mining equipment necessary to extract it; until then there are numerous military and civilian uses for the metal that could come in handy.

OOC: The numbers for uranium may be way off; I know my country would possess some uranium and would have pulled a nice quantity out for trade purposes, but I'm not sure how much would be rational. I'm still really new at this :-)
