Memorial to Platoons in Liberated Terrorist Conflict

22-12-2003, 09:56
::President Reign steps up to the speeker, looking forth to those who attend at home and in building::

My fellow Tulranian People, My fellow International Brethren, today we mourn and remember the loss of twenty brave souls whom chose to help the Libreated American government with their terrorist problem. Each, however, including me and my staff, and all whom live at home, were sadly misinformed as of the true situation.
The First and Second Platoons of the Confederate Special Operation Forces was transported via the only two Ospery Transports, the only AIR power, that Tulrania had to use. Just as both Osprey Transports reached the cursed island, one was instantly shot down. Major Valnor and the Second Platoon were onboard that Transport, shot down by something that shouldn't of been there if the information was correct.

::Reign sighed sadly::

Major Genor of the First Platoon was the only left, and made it safely to their destination only to find once more that Libreated American intelligence was totally wrong. They battled through two RPG rounds as they left the Osprey behind, defeating the attacker, then running for their target, the Capital.
It was here they were ambushed. We believe it a sudden death for most of the Platoon, if that could bring any comfert. Many RPG rounds exploded on and around the First Platoon, Major Genor the first to die instantly by incineration from a direct blast effect.

::Reign cleared his throat, determend not to weap::

Their training never prepared them for this, even if intelligence was correct. They were harsly ambused and killed without regard. Only the cause of freedom lie in the First and Second platoon's minds for the people of that island, yet they died before any effect could be made.
They only had rubber bullets for crowd control, it was not enough, not nearly enough, for the militants. Reports say that none survived, non left alive if even some where. Only one transport from the Osprey Transport Wing made it back, that pilot is in the hospital recovering from a near-fatal wounds, if not many others.

::Reign wiped a tear quickly before it was noticable::

I knew them all, personally, asked them if they wanted to go. Happy were they to say yes, for it would be their first, and last, combat mission to aid internation friends. None came back, none survived. I want so badly to blame myself, yet I know I gave them the choice to do it.

::wipes a tear, then another::

I would of proudly given my life for them, even if they were the Amred Forces whom fights for freedom. None deserved to die like that, none. None deserve to die without making a difference, none. None, whatsoever, deserve to die because of one nations lack of pathetic intelligence to this one, NONE.

::Reign cleared his throat again, crying somewhat, yet hardly noticable to that only near him and watching the broadcast::

Hereby I call these names of the brave souls whom perished in this operation for the benefit and ongoing effect and cause of Freedom.
