The CB-1 ED04 is the newest Terror unleashed by Switchblade Enterprises. The CB-1 ED04 is such an acompleshment of military might and genius, that the government has officialy christened it "The Crimson Blade", after the nation of which constructed it. "The Crimson Blade" is the first and only ship of its kind. One thing is for certain, The people of Crimson Blades are awestruck at the sheer power that its nation holds in the eyes of the world.

===============================================

The Crimson Blade has taken a total of 25 years to fully design and build. Using state of the art technology and top end parts and supplys, this ship will live a long and healthy life under Captian Johnathan Flagheart. The Crimson Blade is such a massive ship, that special ports are being built all around Crimson Blades in order to house the huge ship. More information will be given out as soon as the final testing is finnished. Thank you all, for all of the donations and moral support throughout the building of this craft.

We are quite serious when it comes to Constructing Milestones in the feild of naval and military power.

Actually wouldn't a ship of that size require more crewmen then 1000?

we are not modern tech. post modern to future tech mostly.

you are still basing your complaint with modern tech in mind. please consider that you would not have the slightest idea of the things to come in the future. so the way the craft sits on the water when biased with the thought of modern tech would be rather Unjustifiable.

Unless you have some weird gravity-defying technology, those outriggers would be kilometers long and supporting a structure that would have to take the curvature of the earth into account. As an engineer, I understand that there are basic laws of physics and engineering that have to be accounted for. Just saying that you have incomprehensible future tech that explains a 70-km ship is nothing more than handwaving.

We do in fact have Anti-Grav tech. and we have had it for years. but the amount used on this ship is ehough only to bring it onto the surface. but not enough to make it take flight.

But your powerplant is only comparable to 20 nuclear reactors... is that enough to meet the massive energy requirements of such a large, anti-gravity sustained ship?

The Engines you are talking about are just those that power the drive and anti grav. not the needs of every crew member and appliance on the ship. we do use seperate energy sources for that. one of such is Solar Power.

the ships top speed is 60 knots.

A ship that is 31km high (a.k.a more than 90,000 feet)? Let's see those support structures collapse under their own weight.

Mizeranium Plating alows for the support structures to be stable even while moving at top speed. the contained plasma cores allow for stronger beams also.

the ships top speed is 60 knots.

The stresses and power requirements of moving a ship that big that fast are astronomical. I imagine it would take hundreds of kilometers to get up to speed and slow down... if there weren't severe structural failures.

Yes, the ship does take quite a while to reach top speeds. the sheer size of the ship has dictated that from the start. As for the stress on the structure, Mizeranium Contained Plasma core beams (see above post) create a stronger and lighter structure to the craft. making the stress on its body much much less than you would imagine.

Mizeranium Contained Plasma core beams? Plasma is not a load-bearing state of matter. In fact, you would need even more power to provide plasma containment if it was built into the structure. Also, what is "mizeranium?"

Mizeranium is a matirial that was developed by a team of scientists from many differant nations in my late alliance. It was first made to be used in heavy planes, but proved to not be exactly what we where looking for. It is a mineral compound that takes plasma and through chemical changes turns the plasma into a solid wieght bearing particle.

Chemical changes to plasma don't turn it into a load-bearing solid. Also, what plasma is the base? All I see is more hand-waving.

the base is technicly not a plasma after the change has occured. it is a solid. and the solid when put into the hollow core of a mileranium plated support beam does act as a load bearing substance.

A solid of what? Hydrogen, helium, what? Chemical reactions in a plasma do not change it into a solid. You have to cool a plasma down significantly for it to solidify.

With his country's tax rate of 97%, I imagine that there is little else that nation does but work on that ship... despite the fact that there seems to be no consistent explanation for its design and construction.
