BC AND ALBERTA UNDER ATTACK - Assistance Needed (Open RP)

22-12-2003, 03:11
At Approximately 7:05pm on December 21st, 2003, Early Warning reported a massing of 20,000 Canadian troops North of British Columbia. Intelligence Operatives in the area reported a strike was imminent, the cause of which is believed to be to force repatriation of BC and Alberta into Canada.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-12/554117/map.jpg

As you can see we have moved our forces into position. While we have 15,000 soldiers (mostly reserveman and volunteers), we have an extremely small tank and aireal force. Our garrison of 45 tanks and 15 fighter jets pales in comparison to the 200 tanks and 75 fighter jets the Canadians have sent along with their forces.

We are requesting assistance from any nation as quickly as possible under the conditions of:

- No occupation of any part of BC and Alberta shall be allowed
- BC and Alberta is not held responsible for monetary losses of other party's involvement

Our strategy is to defend and to defend only, crossing into Canada will not be permitted as we do not want to wage a full scale war due to our small military force.

Is canada a real nation (in the context of nationstates; I obviously know that it exists in the real world.)
22-12-2003, 03:15
It may be but in this context we'll speak of Canada as an outside force (unless there is a real Canada here at NS and they wish to engage in this)

If you wish to assist, please list what you will be contributing. Our vehicle garrison is as follows:

30 Beowulf Tanks
150 M1109 (Hummers)
45 M270 MLRS' (Rocket firing Tanks)
75 MK18's (Tank Transporters)
15 FA-22 Raptor's (Fighters)

Central Facehuggeria will pledge 40,000 CF General Infantry to this noble Task.

Do you have problems with future technology? (such as powered armor)
If you do, the CF GIs can be sent in using G36s and Kevlar armor.
If not, expect them to arrive in the latest fashionable Central Facehuggerian X-2 powered armor.

7:20pm

The region is under evacuation. It will be completely cleared out within the hour. Intelligence reports no movement in the Canadian forces. Our forces are setting up a perimeter in woods and houses near the border. The strategy will be to ambush should a counter attack be neccessary. Use of buildings or materials in evacuated areas will be permitted by any if they are used for the purpose of defending the nation.

We are opening all ports and airspace. We request that all who wish to help enter the country and mass with our forces as quickly as possible. If our forces are large enough, we may defeat them through sheer intimidation.

Region completely evacuated. Intelligence reports that forces in Canada have massed to 60,000. The tank force is now at 323, and 159 fighter's (exact model unkown) are now preparing to strike.

40,000 Facehuggeria soldiers have combined with ours to make a force of 55,000 , and the troops are now organizing.

CF GIs in G36's and Kevlar armor will be accepted. We believe this confrontation will boil over soon, as Ottawa (Canada's capital) is ignoring our hail's for diplomatic talks.

80,000 Texario troops are nearing the soon-to-be staging area.

Day 2: 5:29am

Conflict has boiled over. Unknown amounts of forces have crossed onto BC & Albertan soil and are engaging in close quarters combat with Allied soldiers in the Northern BC woods. Dots mark battle points

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-12/554117/map2.jpg

5:50am
Canadian soldiers have begun advancing and are using heavy artillery to take out soldiers over long ranges. BC & Albertan Raptor's are being mobilized.

6:20am
Afbrianistan jets and artillery as well as Fedral Union soldiers have landed at ports and will arrive on the battlefield by noon of Day 2
Central Facehuggeria
22-12-2003, 03:47
CF Special Forces shall deploy via Skyranger VTOL transport to deal with as much artilery as possible. Meanwhile, XC-1 interceptors will begin performing CAP over the battlefields.
22-12-2003, 03:55
Day 2: 9:37am

A 30 megaton ICBM was dropped on the standing point of Allied forces only 10 minutes ago. Canadian soldiers have pulled back and are donning radioactive protection.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-12/554117/map3.jpg

All BC & Albertan forces have been destroyed including all military vehicles and weaponry. 14,537 of our troops have been killed, as well as over 36,000 of Facehuggeria's.

Troops still enroute have been ordered to mass 100 miles below the northernmost marking of Highway 37. The battle is expected to be on hold for at least a day. Monetary and humanitarian donations are desperately needed.

"So, ship some to BC and Alberta! Deploy them from there!"

2 Nukes will arrive via unmarked C-130

Typo is fixed.

Day 3: 3:20am

Facehuggerian Nuclear Weaponry recieved. BC & Albertan's 2 ICBM's are being prepared for launch as well. Over half of BC & Alberta's population has fled or are in the process of fleeing to the Queen Charlotte islands or The United States.

Re-iteration: Monetary aid is desperately needed.

Plans are being formulated to Launch Nuclear Weapons at Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and threaten invasion with all Allied forces if war is not stopped afterwards.

Seeing 6 fly in formation with 30 F-22's flying in support, well, it was enough to raise the hair on your back (cause you know about those Dang Albertians, lol)

Each Cargo Lifter carried 500 Troops Outfitted in full gear.

These were the men of the C-GAR (Canada-Germany Airborn Regiment).

The Planes roared through the sky and then split into 3 groups. 2 An's and 10 F-22's in each group roared towards their targets of Victoria, Vancouver and Burnaby Mountain, more Specificly, Simon Fraser University atop Burnaby Mountain.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Para's Away!"
And the 3000 men landed.
22-12-2003, 04:45
Day 5: 12:23pm
Battle resumed on the Northern Front. News reached the Allied troops of the attacks on coastal British Columbia, and 75,000 of the 250,000 Fedral Union troops have been sent to aid. Civilian casualties have been low because of the quick evacuation.
A convoy of 100 troops is stealthily transporting the Three nuclear weapons through the Albertan Central Prarie. A formal threat to Ottawa has been made:
"If these unjustified attacks do not halt, we will be forced to take extreme measures" - BC & ALBERTAN PRIME MINISTER - Speaking from undisclosed location
Still no word from Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin, however it is known that much of Canada's public has become outraged at his government for starting such a war without public backing.
Handsandwizh's arriving soldiers have been ordered to take up posts in 15 cities across the nation.
The Holy Empire of The Blade Of Light's soldiers have been divided. Half sent to the Northern front which remains a stalemate, and half to the battles taking place on coastal British Columbia.
BC & Alberta has made one final demand to Canada: Withdraw or suffer Nuclear strikes.
22-12-2003, 05:12
Rodger that, all transport helicopters have taken off, heading to drop off the split 1,900 Federation Marine's into the 15 cities to provide security to the cities and recon to inform you of any enemy forces if they come near the cities.
Day 8: 10:57am
With hundreds dying daily on Northern and Coastal fronts and no end of battle in sight, BC & Albertan Prime Minister R. Beauvais has approved a Nuclear Strike.
The Weapon, which was sent by Facehuggeria, was launched half an hour ago, and struck the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Response from Ottawa has still not arrived. However, opposition to the war has turned violent in Ottawa, with protests becoming more heated by the minute.
22-12-2003, 05:37
Unified Finland will assist with 35,000 Infantry troops, 10,000 Airborne troops, and 250 T90 tanks. From the Canadian Broadcasting Center in Toronto, here is Peter Mansbridge
Mansbridge:
Good evening. Shocking news from the British Columbian Front today, as a Nuclear weapon was set off by one of the two opposing forces. This from the Defence minister:
David Pratt:
"Canada does not even HAVE nuclear weapons."
Mansbridge:
Polls conducted ever since the start of the war shows support for Prime Minister Martin's actions are holding steady at 54% while 30% say that they are against and 16% say that they are undecided. In other News...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The C-GAR had landed with little opposition and had proceeded to take control of the Parlimentary buildings and those in the surrounding area. Those that landed in Vancouver took control of the port and any ships that were currently docked. This was, after all, only the beginning.

The troops that had landed in SFU only dug in a waited. After all. the school was on a mountain and surrounded by a thick forest with only 2 roads in. Since the school itself was basicly only Concret, anyone trying to dig them out would face mass casualties. The forests around the University were also patroled by scout groups.

Day 8: 9:00pm

Just 8 days after the war began, it has ended. A violent coup by the military high command in Ottawa has overthrown Paul Martin's government.

"OTTAWA Times - Thousands of protestors, encouraged by the military, stormed the Parliament buildings this evening. They took control, capturing MP's of several different parties, however only government Cabinet ministers have been detained. The original plan did not call for Prime Minister Paul Martin to be killed, however in the frenzy of the coup he was."

The new Interim Government Leader, General William Aberhall commanded the Canadian Military to stand down. Both sides stopped their fighting, and moved away from the fronts. The General held a press conference just minutes ago, in which he said:

"This war, while still under investigation, was believed to have been started by Albertan Neo-Conservatives who were operating undercover in the Canadian Military. Using phony evidence they convinced Paul Martin that a war was needed quickly and swiftly. However, because of BC & Alberta's unprecedented amount of military support recieved, the Canadian Military was not able to quickly conquer like Martin would have liked."

BC & Alberta Prime Minister R. Beauvais has said:
"We are all very glad this war is over. I am told troops are preparing to return home, all troops from all nations. We would like to thank all our allies in this, and ask them not to judge the Nation of Canada based on this wayward leader's mis-decisions.

However, this shows us that as long as we identify ourselves as former peoples of Canada, that attachment will stick like a virus. Therefore we have announced that we will be renaming and reforming the Country as the Commonwealth of Albertan Columbia. A ceremony will take place in a few weeks"

BC & Alberta would like to thank all it's Allies. The formation of the new commonwealth will be announced in a new thread soon. We hope this new nation can retain it's friendly ties with all of it's allies, and will help any of them should the need arise.

I dont know. If a leader started such a casualty causing war behind everyone's back people would be pretty pissed off. In any case i chose a speedy end because im leaving on vacation in a couple of days.

Also: it gives my country a pretty interesting history. :)

And: Saskatoon's population is a 100,000 max. I dont know how millions would die in that strike.

2 Weeks after the War....

The Commonwealth of Tayricht (originally to be Albertan Columbia), was formed today.

Tayricht Prime Minister R. Beauvais said "It is the populous' most fervent wish leave all that behind us. We've found that the population really just wants to put Canada out of its mind in the sense that we belong to it, as the reason for Seperation was to be an individual country. We've established Calgary as our capital and are preparing to move there soon.

I would also like to address the anger some Canadians are feeling over Saskatoon. We offered Martin a chance to pull out of the war, we gave him a direct threat: Stop, or be nuked. He did not stop. Canada is not the only nation to suffer. Our economy has gone down significantly and we have NO military.

We would like to work with Canada to build a sturdy Alliance. And, as soon as the economy recovers my government promises to pay reparations for the Nuclear Attack on Saskatoon."
