Credonian Arms Parade

In a bold show of military might and power, President Kaimoni .A. Sutton ordered the organization and planning of a parade displaying some of the best of Credonia's military might.

Two weeks later, at 12:00 pm CST (Credonian Standard Time), amongst a crowd of 10,000 Credonian people, 100,000 G.I.'s from the 1st army infantry division marched down 1st national blvd. As the troops approach the Presidential Palace, a B-2 Spirit accompanied by two F-117A Nighthawk stealth aircraft, one on each wing, fly overhead. Moments later, the three aircraft open their missile bays and fire a JDAM air-to-surface missile at special buildings erected weeks before and marked as targets. As each of the missiles strike their target with pin-point precision, a large pillar of smoke and fire, similar to that of a nuclear blast, quickly rises into the air at a fraction of the size. The crowd of spectators cheer in awe at the awesome power that has just been unleashed by the stealth aircraft.

Following close behind the stealth fighters are a formation of four F-16D Falcons, which perform a series of acrobatic maneuvers and flank the stealth aircraft as they turn and head back to base. The spectators focus their attention back on the street. The last of the soldiers walk past the palace followed by 200 T-64 tanks.

"Ready!...AIM!!! FIRE!!!" the parade leader orders the tanks. "FIRE!!....FIRE!!!" he continues after the first shot.

The tanks receive their orders and point their turrets above the spectators. The crowd is tense but calm as they know the military knows what it is doing. Moments later, each T-64 fires a round in sync with each other, reloading and firing every ten seconds until three rounds have been unloaded.

The parade moves on. Following the tanks are 30 M2 Bradley APC's, followed by a very shocking sight. 24 SS-25 Sickle ICBM's on special launchers drive by. A man on the speaker system describes them as "Credonia's first nuclear weapons." He mentions the fact that only one has actually been used in combat, and that it was used during the Communist Likon occupation of Communist Idealism. The ICBM's stop and one outfitted with a dummy warhead is put into launch configuration. The spectators all move behind special blast protectors to view the launch.

"10...9..8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...IGNITION!!"

The ICBM lifts off from the launcher on a pillar of smoke and fire that fills the street. The spectators are shocked at the sheer power felt when the ICBM lifts-off.

Such a shame that you consider your ability to kill people as true might, it does not take much thought to destroy but it takes so much more to protect life and yet the rewards are so clear to all. No doubt you proclaim freedom, peace and security to all yet I doubt your motivation behind any actions.

OOC: like you'd know, do you even post on the forusm, afterall yo only have 3 posts on here. If you would take a look, you will see that credonia is hosting a summit involved in limiting nuclear arms, preventing nuclear war, and stopping nuclear proliferation. It would suit you better if you did your homework instead of trying to accuse credonia of being against freedom, peace and security. Another issue that backs us up is our aid in the Falkland Islands.

President Sutton steps out onto the balcony just outside the Presidential Office in the Presidential palace. He waits for the smoke and debris from the ICBM to clear before speaking into a microphone that has been pre-setup.

"My fellow Credonians, what you have seen is merely a small fraction of the awsome power that the Credonian military posesses. For a medium sized nation, we have one of the most powerful and most experienced military forces in the world. We hold some of the most lethal weapons man has ever created. Credonia also has some of the most destructive nuclear weapons ever created, such as the L6-120A Freedom ICBM which holds 20 separate warheads on each missile. Each warhead has a yield of 100 kilotons meaning each Freedom ICBM has firepower equavalent to 2 megatons. We also have a Credonian designed and built missile called the Desolator which carries a 20 megaton thermonuclear warhead. In conclusion, the Credonian military signifies the military of the future. Enjoy the rest of the parade and god bless you all."

President Sutton steps back into the office and goes on to the next thing on his crammed and congested schedule.

The parade moves on as spectators cheer and applaud after President Sutton gives his statement to the crowd. Suddenly five B-52 Stratofortress strategic bombers scream over the crowd at an altitude of 600 ft. in a flying V formation. The four wing bombers slow and back off from the lead bomber while it goes into a jaw dropping barrel roll. The crowd burst into cheers, applause, and much chatter in awe over what they had just seen. After the lead B-52 completed its roll, it was re-accompanied by the wing bombers. Three F-22 Raptors follow behind the bombers until they pass by the Presidential Palace, where two of the F-22's flank the B-52 formation and the other fly's just feet behind the lead bomber.

The crowd once again focuses it's attention to the road where the last of the SS-25 Sickle ICBM's pass by. Following the missiles, 100 M1A1 Abram tanks roll by. On each one sits a troop manning a mounted machine gun, most waiving to the spectators.

"Ladies and gentlemen, returning home from the conflict in the Falkland Island, our troops from the 32nd Marine Infantry Division. Welcome home!!!" says the parade announcer. The crowd applauds as confetti falls from the skies. 15,000 G.I's march behind the Abram tanks, excited and smiling as they all turn and salute the crowd. President Sutton once again steps out onto the palace balcony and salute the troops. The troops turn and salute President Sutton until he turns and heads back inside, at which time the troops begin waving to the crowd.

By your logic I shouldn't bother forming an IC opinion of you because I just have to take everything at face value from what you've done before.

Secretary of Information Umberto IV sat in the reviewing stand as the official representative of the Republic of Ozymandias IV. He cringed at the thought of the highway department having to repair the street where the rockets were launched and wondered why he always got sent to these kind of things...

Still, the state dinner to follow would be better than his frozen dinner back in his flat at home.

President Girardi walked into the office as he did every morning. Another day of talking to the IADF, negotiating, and watching wars. But first, some "internet-based research". He sat back in his chair and waited for the page to load and as he was doing so the phone rang. He picked it up and once he had heard what the person had to say, his aids heard him bellow, "Kaimoni did WHAT during a LIVE parade?!"
