A new age in the Wermacht . . .

The Fuhrer, Daniel Baker, had just finished his speech in the German Chancellory about the military strenght there was to protect Germany on all fronts. With peace and prosperity throughout The German Reich in the past sixty years, military strenght has diminished. Many young men who were once assigned to the Wermacht left after the war was over to pursue a career. Now there was only a total of two and a half million soldiers in the entire Reich, which total population was eighty six million. He pinpointed other major issues that the borders of The Reich were not safe, not from anyone.

A mere three hundred and twenty thousand soldiers stood on the German/Russian border to protect Germany from a Russian assault. Only an available fifty thousand Marines were in the Atlantic waters to protect a British or American assault. On the Spanish border, eighty thousand. The Fuhrer said that the German economy had been failing and his Economic leader was executed for this, with a new one being appointed just today. It was time for a change. The first Wermacht recruitment drive since 1971 was in place. Every young boy from the Age of 14-25 was being taken in and trained in basic military training.

But the Fuhrer addressed two more issues; The Kriegsmarine and the Luffwaffe. Most of the naval vessels Germany had were worn out seventies U-Boats which were outclassed by the big American submarines. A few old carriers and other vessels. As for the Lufftwaffe, it was in a horrific state. The last checkup on it two years ago got an "F", in which the AirMarshall was executed for. Most of the fighters and bombers in the Lufftwaffe weren't able to get into the air, nontheless carry new cruise missles the military was working on. An agreement was reached after the speech with all three military generals to begin to fix the German Military, or Germany will be hurt in the long run.
