Empire of Youngtung starting space program

The Empire would like to inform the rest of the world that we are starting a space program. Our current destination is not to go to Mars, the Asteroid belt, or Jupiter and beyond, but instead, we are looking to our fellow inner planets, Mercury and Venus. The Empire is now making a certain interplanetary vehicle to travel to the two fellow planets. This ship will be at least 20 years ahead of our time, and the Empire would like to tell the world that this research will be turned over to the UN once the system is complete. Prehaps, if the UN chooses to release it to the world, we will be able to go and travel to the sun. Thank you for your attention.
The Commonwealth salutes the Empire's aspirations. The Commonwealth points out that Venus is remarkable for its sulfur dioxide atmosphere, Mercury for its dichotomous nature (one side several hundred degrees below freezing, the other a thousand degrees above boiling) and urges the Empire to avoid manned flights.

The Empire is pleased that a small nation has such aspirations and hopes that it will work to its desired goals. To aid it, the Empire of Xiang Gang is donating 100 000 000 000 XG¥ (1 billion US$) to its space program.
