Federation Airspace shows off Air Superiourity

20-12-2003, 16:57
With the recent standard set to dominate the airways, The Grand Duchy forced all of it's spendings into development of new aircraft. After the money was pooled and the crafts born, the government put on an airshow that was broadcast to the international community as well as The Grand Duchy itself.

Su-34s performed basic manouvers, demonstrating some of its power by clearing away a nice chunk of forrest on a desterted FA island:

The Su-47s showed off their quick turning capabliities, great for quick and easy firing at the next target:

FA Stealth Gunships (pun, eh?) shoot up some 150 dummies, used to immitate troops, in a matter of seconds:

F-35s prepare to shoot up a dummy naval vessel:

Although we have a limited number of aircraft at this time, that number is expected to grow rapidly over the next year.

OOC: I would hope it's limited... considering that your nation hasn't even existed a year in the NS timeframe.

Can I have one for free? (personal use)

It is freeform, however it has serious rules that must be followed to keep things realistic. Such as your military should never be more than 5% of your population (and then usually only during wartime). And that number includes support personnel, etc. You also have a limited military budget which can be found using a GDP calculator.

<ooc>If it's freeform, that means there are no rules regarding role play... what you have stated looks more like legit guidelines.</ooc>

Your military should never even touch 3%! :x Why don't people read all the stickies?

Everyone says its freeform but it isn't. But generally it is quite free. A day is a year.

<ooc>I'm not planning on arguing with you, but free form means no rules regarding RP. Sure, you have your guidelines, but no rules.</ooc>

A NationStates year is one Real day? Is that a rule?

FA's right guys..
20-12-2003, 17:39
No its not a rule, there are many variations on it. This game wouldn't work if it was freeform. There would be too many nations just nuking eachother.

New anti-air missile system developed:

http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/lafayette/images/lafayette5.jpg

The FAAA4 AA missile system is capable of shooting down anything up to Mach 4. The missiles are locked onto a target then fired. Accuracy tests show that the FAAA4 Missile System is 97.5% accurate. the FAAA4 can fire up to 23 missiles at one time from one station (one station shown above, land launched).

TROUSRS i meant n00bs just chucking nukes around without any care of roleplay.

That anti-air gun sounds like a big battery.

"Can I have four F-Tripe-A-4-double-A batterys please."

"Then I don't see your arguement.."

I didn't have an arguement and I wasn't trying to argue. What made you think I was. I just said most people say a day = a year. That is not an arguement.

The picture shown looks like it only has the capacity for eight missiles at a time. Also, what kind of propulsion do you use to get the missile to go fast enough to intercept Mach 4 objects and still retain the necessary maneuverability?

Considering population updates every day I would say yea, 1 day = 1 year.. because generally censuses aren't taken every month :p
