International Assistance

It would be nice if other, older nations, offered to give new nation states such as ours advice and guidance as to how we can best make our way up the greasy pole.

In my view, new nations are competitors for dwindling resources world wide and it is in the best interest of established nations to stamp out any proliferation of new nations. Once the new nations are crushed, it is then easy for the established countries to move in and devour whatever resources, people, etc. are left in the aborted country worth taking.

Of course, I acknowledge that I am evil, but this is just simple economics!

Nah. You are both new nations. New nations should start out like the old nations once started out.

That's a bit rich coming from another new nation state.

As for you nanakaland you not that old yourself!

I was originally created in March, got deleted due to inactivity, and was brought back in November by a moderator. Of course you are too new to know such a thing.

As I said, look at my nation and try to explain my 983 million population. I was delted and then brought back. My creation date was reset. Ask Menelemecar (sp?), who did bring me back.

Yeah. Don't trust creation dates. They could be resurrected nations or veteran nations returned. Mods have the power to do almost anything.

You're a mine of information. Can you please tell me if having a large poulation is a good thing or a bad thing?

Normally, I would be opposed to his idea, "they just have to read the stickies like everyone"

But, the newbs of today can really be annoying: the don't read, they don't get that it's a RPG...

So I say: there has to be something done and this is something

This is just the build up to an international incident. At least when the historians look back on it they will be able to say something like "It all started on the 20th December 2003 when diplomatic relations between Harwich and East-Europe formally broke down."

Large Population
+ Side: People respect you; can have a larger army; takes longer to attack

- Side: Easier for terrorists to sneak in (ie, more immigrants and tourists, larger poplation to hide in); newer nations sometimes hate you (ie, accusing you of bullying); sometimes a bigger target for large invasions (ie, if someone assaults an alliance, you are probably the first target)

Eh, I don't know what you mean by this, my only ententions with my post was indicating the frustration that stikes upon me lately. IOn 3 days, there have been thousants of messages of new countries who 'declare war on everyone' or wh sell nukes at 300$/a piece. And that anoyes me. I have no problem with new countries who have to learn the game, and I will always trie to help where I can. The only problem I have is against those players who don't respect the vallues of a RPG. And that is not personal, because you and almoust everyone take the game very seriously, so I don't know why this sudden hostility. If I am doing something wrong, please just talk to me so we can try to solve it with words and not with hate.

I believe now that this was no more than a misunderstanding and am happy to think that we can have excellent relations in the future
