The Supercet is a new generation Weapons System for use on most naval vessels, The Supercet is based around a powerful computer system, The system is divided into 5 stages each with there own CPU to avoid conjestion.
The first stage is Scan and this consists of all the scanning equipment(sonar, radar, esm etc) on the vessel being connected to the computer system that decodes it instead of having multiple display screens the information is displayed on a virtual battlefield set up on the bridge. Using the latest GPS and the ships own systems the virtual battlefiel provide the captain the weapons officers all the information they need.
Stage 2 is Vessel identification, This stage requires the most computing power and is the most advanced. Using a large database and the crew own experience, contact found by the Scan stage can quickly and accuratly be identified and enemy, friendly or nuetral and even find what the vessels is down to classes(eg Seawolf class, Akula). Information is sent from the Scan stage to Vessle Identification and when identification is complete data is sent back so the virtual battlefield can be updated to include even more information.
Stage 3 is Threat identification, This is designed to give the ship a very accurate estimated as to how high the threat to it is. This system gives the weapons officers and helping hand in choosing what target to fire upon first. An identified vessel is given a threat level but unidentified vessels are not for obvious reasons. Threat level is displayed on the virtual battelfield. Incoming weapons are given top priority.
Stage 4 is weapons guidance, As the name subjects this is the weapons stage of the system. When ever an order to fire is issued, this stage is given the responsability of ensuring that a hit is achieved and that the right weapon is launched. Everything relating to the launch of a weapons and it;s guidance is controlled by this system.
Stage 5 is defence, When ever an incoming weapon is deteced all infomation is automatically given to the defense stage so that appropriate steps can be made to lower the chances of getting hit.

Simple block diagram of the SUPERCET
The system is designed to be more effecive and faster at identifing targets giving vessels that use the system a much needed advantage over conventional vessels.
The system is going for 25million for each vessel that uses it. The prices only includes the systems computers, wiring, consoles and the advanced Virtual Battlefield display console.
Input is welcome.
OOC: If price is wrong please tell me as i have no idea as to the prices of such systems.
