I have one paper clip affixed to a rubber band. I believe your country has the funds to purchase this fine piece of artillery, but if not, payment plans can be worked out.

I'm sorry but my lord, but our divine emperor consider rubber to be "evil" we will only buy iron cannons, but we greatly interested by your "payment plans" tell us more.

Sincere regards to the Holy Empire of Saint-George de Beauce, from the war minister of the Kingdom of Poshtotty. Since we have compulsory national service, we are well stocked with all manner of Military Hardware and cannon fodder, errr, sorry Brave patriots to wield them. Cannons are on special promotion at the moment.
Buy one cannon for the meagre sum of 10 deanos, and get as many soldiers as you want free !!!!!!.
WE ARE ALREADY ON OUR WAY......................

Well, for starters, the paper clips are formed from steel, which is even stronger than iron. The payment plans are $0.05 USD per month, with 0.9% APR financing, for 76 months.

OOC Assuming you acknowledge the presence of modern-tech nations.....

IC

One of the most historic and interesting places on Falastur Island is the still mostly intact site of the Fort of the Gulf of Falastur, or Fort Falastur. It is a fort built as the first structure of some size in the whole of Falastur Island, at around the year 1640. After Falastur declared itself independant, the fort was vital to the survival of Falastur, (well....maybe once.... :D ), protecting the safest entries to the Island. The Fort today is still mostly as it was when it was first made, complete with its cannon. For a small price, these cannon of various sizes can be studied and reproduced, in any number you ask for. And due to a very small sector of our population (a bit like Amish, only not quite so religious) aims to live their lives as lives were lived shortly after independance from Britain. Hence, we are well versed in the use of ducats, which I believe are most common to countries of your period.

If you would like to obtain an order, please say so, otherwise, we offer you a warm welcome to the international community, and offer diplomatic relations.

Thank you for your interest. I fear that due to the considerable imbalance in our economies, the exchange rate between the venitian dinar and the deano may not work in your favour.
By the current rate of exchange 10,000,000 venetian dinar is worth approximately 0.1 of a deano-cent, or to talk in terms of real estate, 1 dinar is worth less than a grain of sand.
We figure you now owe us several very nice beaches.
Just hand over the whole country and we'll call it a deal......OK?

IC from 17th centruy Crookfurians

Crookfurian 1: Hhmm chief Inquisitor of the holy Church eh, sounds a bit papist to me.

Crookfurian 2: papist! where? (looks around suspicously)

Crookfurian 1: Oh over in somewhere named Saint-George de Beauce

Crookfurian 2: Oh evil papists! break out the puckle repeaters and stock up on square shot!

Crookfurian 1: Eh isn't square shot for heathens?

Crookfurian 2: So? they are papist for goodness sake!
etc etc etc.

Yes 17th century Crookfur makes cromwell look restrained (just as well it was an out of the way island in the north atlantic and spain ignored it).

Anyway if you don't mind Rping with Crookfur's bunch of looneys known as the reenactors (a bunch of weirdos who live 17th-19th century lives in remote settlements on the crookfur coast) we can sell you circa 1640 machine guns... (known as puckle's gun a rahter interesting RL weapons that never took off). It might be wiser to trade with the 18th century lot as they tend to be calmer about papish things....
