IC:A lumbering Soviet helicopter landed in a clump of thick, high bushes. It was a RP8001 Mi-8MT HIP, but still good. As the slight whirrng of it's blades' stopped,and it quieted down, the door slid open and 7 men dressed in black jumped out, pointed their Ak-47's around, sweeping and checking the perimeter,and content,aimed their weapons at the ground. They were on the outskirts of a small Yerpes city, barely 10 miles from it. Their mission was to commit the biggest bombing in SOC history.

Inside the helicopter, almost 15 crates were stacked upon one another. A wire stuck out one of them...

McLeodian aerial forces launch a blitzkreig attack on Yerpes. 240 Lancer 2 bombers, 120 EB-52 bombers, and 12 AL-52 ABLs, escorted by over 500 AF-100s head for the country.

On reaching the area, the fighters engage enemy forces with 4 MAULRAAMs each, launching 2000 AAMs at the Yerpes aircraft.

Then, the bombers attack. Each of the Lancer 2s fire 8 Wolvereine intelligent cruise missiles at Yerpes military bases, powerplants, communications centres, docks, and factories.

The EB-52s drop 960 500lb laser guided munitions on government buildings in the capital itself.

The AL-52s wait to shoot down any incomnig SAMs and AAMs.

As the enemy planes lanced over head, a large military establishment of SAMs fired missile after missile into the large swarm of jets.

The airborne forces of Yepres were obliverated by the enemy, been caught off guard. Around 70% of the planes were destroyed

Of course, the bus driver didn't usually see people draped in black with guns in his bus, and so had to be removed of. They drove for a better part of 30 minutes, until they reached the center of the city. There, the terrorists opened the windows, switched to full auto and started blasting away.

A car that was as unfortunate as to drive by was immediatley shredded by bullets,people on the side walk flew left and right as bullets impacted on their soft, fleshy bodies, and building windows cracked and broke as a line of bullets flew upon them like steel hail. Once their ammunition was exhausted, the terrorists stopped the bus and started picking people off with their Glock 17's. Once THAT ammunition was exhausted, grenades were thrown. After that, came the leaving of the bus and the knives. And then, and only then, did the terrorists press the little red button on their chest...

The grass huts which formed the basis of the yerpes housing were easily caught alite, the fire fighting crewes knew how to handle it well though. In the end 64 civilians were killed, 13 houses burnt and 4 commercial buildings destroyed

The foot soldiers , after noticing the threat of the [canister weapony things] immediatly took cover behind the nearest rock or tank, Only sticking their guns around the side of the rocks to blast at the enemy.

IC: Realizing the infantry had begun taking cover behind hard obstacles, the Leopards began firing HE rounds, killing all organic life within 20 yards of the blast area from each canister, The volley was supported by 25mm HE fire an small arms from the Infantry.

All targeted military bases were destroyed, but they had beenevacuated earlier and all munitions had been moved to underground safe houses

The airfields were the same as the Military basses, the jets would be able to launch off any straight highway

The powerplants were reduced to 43%operating power, most citizens have backup solar generators so essential appliances are still working,

Most of the war factories survived, located underground they were relatively safe. Many preserved food companys suffered from the attacks though

The space-based surveillance platforms direct their infrared imaging systems to locate the underground munitions depots and factories. The geocoords are then provided to McLeodian military intelligence with the intent of allowing bunker-buster strikes.

OOC: Also, if your talking about the other nations planes, I admit that I jumped straight into the fight without posting the whole sending the transmissions of clearing the area thing

Breakaway Bunker Busting Cruise Missles they were called, 10 of which were launched from the Battleship Bedhorst and began low altitude flight of 30 feet across the terrain of Yerpes. Flying at Mach 2, much too fast for any known weaponry to properly target them, they ignored any type of defensive systems. Once over the capital, they sudenly climbed to 500 feet, then dove straight down towards the ground, each breaking into 10 separate Bomblets, they tore through the topsoil and detonated their Payload of 30 pounds Semtex each warhead, detroying all underground works within 2 miles of the capital.

The small arms fire was defeated by the thick armor of the aircraft, a few lucky shots hit underwing missles and destroying some of the low flying aircraft with exposed explosive weaponry, otherwise the massive assault stood unshaken. The swarm then let loose a deafening barrage of missles and bombs upon the cities such as that never seen by man before. Explosions sent the citizens below into panic. The carnage was something no one would have expected from humankind, it was simply horrible.

I have RT-3007 Command Airships, stationed far from the island-nation, they only play a supportive role but it doesnt matter at this point. (Since, I am beginning to bomb you to kingdom come.) You should never expect massive air campaigns such as this one not to be monitored.

To the temporary relief of the citizens of Yepres, the massive air assault left. Then, realization dawned, this was too good to be true. The citizens braced themselves for another attack, not knowing from where. They were unsuspecting prey to the threat far above.
