Earlier this morning the Liberate island of Salvan, population 10,000, was swiftly overran by Islamic Terrorists calling themselves "The Muslim Pact". The island had no military garrison.

It seems apparant that they have declared a Jihad upon the Catholic, Capitalist nation for it's Citizen's prejudice against Islamic Peoples. The group had been stowed in the bow of a freighter ship which had been hijacked in the North Atlantic 3 Days Prior. And when the ship came to dock, they emerged, wielding a variety of soviet weaponry, and swarming the small island.

Liberate Officials seek advice from other Nations, on how to deal with this matter with as little bloodshed as possible. Liberate Ground forces are being assambled to meet the Island's capture, if the terrorists do not lie down their arms and surrender, which seems very unlikely at this point.

The Government of Liberated America sees the invaders or our island nothing more than undeclared militants, and will deal with them as nothing more than.

As to the riots, we do not call the rioters terrorists, only rioters and they will not be treated with any sort of prejudice reguarding race or religion.

To end this conflict as soon as possible, we will deploy our special operations unit to take control of the Juancho Yrausquin Airport so we can land a plane full of soldiers.

At the Doujin Military Airport, two Cossacks takes off full of 3000 soldiers and 100 T-255 Main Battle Tanks, heading for Salvan.

As you wish, I will send from Turania two Osprey Hypbrid Transports, all I have got in air power. They are filled, each, with ten (10) Special Operations soldiers with equipment and supplies.

This is all I have, and in the intrest of friendship and peace between us I shall allow you control over these forces to do as you will and see fit. However, each Special Ops team has a highly skilled commander that will taker over if you feel you are unable to properly order their operations.

The two Ospery Hybrid Transports will arrive at the island in three hours.

We have been informed that the riots in the capitol have escalated and turned the city into a literal warzone. Islamic Militants fight police in the streets, not wth pipes or broken bottles, but with privately owned rifles and pistols. The police however are holding their own ground around the major public areas and government buildings.

In the intrest of Riot Control the Osprey have been equipment specifily with tear gas launchers and one nose mounted machine gun torrent, in case miliants attack.

Liberated America, I have 4 transport helicopters full of one of our best Special Ops. teams. 60 soldiers, trained like none other. Where do you need the most assitance?

While Al Khalis tend to be fairly passive and peaceable, it is apparent that in these days little is needed to rouse them to cheer.

We need urgent assistance in the capitol. Much of it's population had taken up arms against the government. We are sending our 1st infantry division in to deter them, but any help would be greatly welcomed.

Liberate High Command

Colonel Pierce sat in the command tent at Camp Benning, near the coast. His Division was ready to move at a moments notice. He recieved word form the capitol to Proceed with the operation, and the 1st Infantry Division would take care of the situation there, Colonel Pierce and the 2nd would move upon the island, with the help of the Doujin force. The 2nd Division would land their LSTs at Spring Bay. 5,000 men, 100 M2 Abrams tanks, and 25 Mekelron tanks would land on the beaches of Salvan, supported by the 5th Fleet.

As Doujin troops land at Yrausquin Airport, they instantly become under heavy fire. It seems the airport is heavily defended.

The 2nd infantry division was readied for the invasion, packing men and equipment into the waiting LSTs off Despin port. It took about 2 hours for the entire 2nd to load up onto the various types of landing craft.


It took them another hour to maneuver around to the Eastern side of the island and get into invasion formation. They were ready to make the ride to the beach and establish a foothold on the island once more.

Despite previous Liberated American reservations, the Vigilence launched an attack with 3 RF-11 Archangels, to help the soldiers clear out the airport so the Cossacks could land.

The three jets take off, racing towards the island. Targets already acquired, all they need to do is push the button.

Major Genor Par- "Lieutenant, inform the pilot to tell Major Valro in Trans. two that the capital is our main target."
Lieutenant- "Yes sir."

Genor looked back down at the steel that made up the bottom of the Ospery, looking up and around at the rest of his platoon. It was the first real situation that could actually come to combat, unlike the militia battles long ago.
Suddenly Genor looked up, almost jumping, as the Lieutenant got closer to speak up from the engines, "Sir, Major Valro says that the situations gotten a bit worse, we may need to use the non-leatheals to the max."

He nodded, looking back down as the Lieutenant hurried back to his seat and strapped back in. ETA would be in one more hour and thirty minutes, and from the looks of it they might be too late.

Recieving the signal which the invasion had begun, the 5th Fleet's LST's engines roared to life and they began the 10 minnute trip to the beaches. Along the way the troopers thought of what would await them at the beaches. An Ambush? A hail of machinegun fire? Or Nothing? they however did not have much time to contemplate as before they knew it they had arrived at the beach and the Ramps had fallen. As the men stormed the beach, their arrival was uncontested at the moment.

The helicopters en route to the capital landed, and unloaded the 60 troops who raced to reinforce police officers. Using smoke mortars, they launched tear gas through out the streets, and fired rubber bullets into the most dangerous crowds.

The bombardment of the airport prove successful, allowing Doujin troops to easily secure control. The Cossacks landed and unloaded the 3000 soldiers and 150 T-255 MBT's.

About 10 minutes after the troops and tanks landed on the beaches, a wing of 4 F-16 Fighter/Bombers were dispatched from Tyndall AFB to fire Missles at 2 Powerplants, disabling them to blind the Enemy forces for the darkness to come.

Doujin forces quickly mobilize and rush towards Hell's Gate. Fighter craft are heard above, prepareing to unleash their fury on any dug in position.

Just about to reach shore, lights flashed as the pilot yelled something into his comm, seemingly directed to Trans. Two. Without warning as Major Genor looked at the second Osprey where Major Valro was in he cought brifly a stream of light then the visual explosion of the second Osprey, its structure partilly flaming as it fell into the ocean.

"What the hell was that," Genor yelled to the pilot, "If thats a launch then start manurverin and seek out that damn bastard!"

Looking back out to the now flaming wreckage Major Genor could only watch as it impacted into the waters, hoping that his life-long friend had survived or not, wondering if the mission should be paused for rescue, thinking of how he himself might die.

"Sir, one of the two Tulranian Osprey's disappeared."

"What? Shot down?"

"I assume so, sir."

"Put the order in, launch 4 fighters immediatly to escort the remaining one, and send out a Pegasus patrol boat to see if there are any survivors."

"Yes, sir."

IC: Liberate Forces Form up and establish a very strong beachhead, the 2nd's soldiers very relieved from the uncontested landing. 1,000 Men, 50 M2 Abrams MBTs, and 10 Mekelron Support Tanks depart from the beachhead and slowly advance to retake Old Booby Hill, and Core Gut Bay back from the Terrorists.

Halfway to the capital, Major Genor readied his weapon as an even louder sound than the egines roared over. He looked quicklu to the other side, seeing that it was a friendly he looked back. With a wave of his hand to the rest of the platoon they, too, began to ready for the landing in the capital, not needing to worry about missles anymore.

"Tulranian craft, this is Red Phoenix. Don't be alarmed, we are here to escort you to the capital. Hang back, there are 3 missile encampments ahead, we will take them out. Enjoy the show :)"

With that, the three RF-11 Archangels dance through the skies, and open fire on three missile encampments. A minute later, and the encampents silenced.

As the detachment of Men and Tanks Neared Old Booby Hill, they were greeted with the clatter of Machinegunfire, coming from several emplacements up the hill. Rebel fighters also entrenched themselves along the bottom of the hill in hastily made bunkers and trenches. The Liberate troops halted their advance and left much of the work up to the tanks, which lurched forward and began suppressing the Machine guns, long enough for the Infantry to move into firing position.

Major Genor nodded to the pilot, smiling and grinning all at one time. Although they had no jets, it still was one hell of a show and an honor to be allowed to see one in combat.

"Ok men," started the Major, "Get your asses in gear and wake your freakin legs, 30 minutes to target, it may get bumpy!"

Entering Hell's Gate, the Doujin forces quickly became under fire. Hanging back, the Infantry took cover behind buildings and the tanks. The T-255's opened fire, releasing their wrath upon the militants. Not letting the militants stop the advance, they push forward and enter the entire city. Sparatic firefights erupt, quickly being supressed by Doujin forces.

The Osprey stopped its slow decent just above the ground and fired its machine gun at a few militants. Major Genor and his Platoon quickly exited the transport, rushing to a nearby bulding as they came under fire, fireing back with non-leathals as they had no need for real bullets.

Major Genor signaled the Osprey to provide cover as he did a circle with his finger, rusing into the building and looking out the window at the near-distant capital building. Suddenly he was blown back, the sound of a RPG all too clear before he and five men hit the back wall.

Whilst the Abrams and the Mekelron tanks suppressed the enemy into ducking their heads, the 2nd infantry moved up and set up several firing positions. They had a few mortars with them, which they had set up to bombard the mountainside, to support the coming attack on the hill.

Several squads of infantry had begun to assemble around 5 M2 MBTs in preparation for the attack which would sieze the hill, and allow the men to move on to attack the Island's key point, Mt. Scenery. From there they could set up heavy Artillery positions to bombard any place on the island with visual confirmation.

Red Phoenix, watching form above, dived down opening fire with it's 30mm cannon. Seeing a dug out "bunker" of the militants, the pilot fired an air-to-surface missile, effectivly blowing the bunker to pieces.

Major Genor looked around in the dust and rubble, seeing that half his platoon stood and helped the rest.

"Everybody Alright," asked the Major.

"Sir, no serious injuries, well make it."

He nodded, then quickly looked out the huge gap in the wall at a few miliants, one with the cursed RPG launcher that blew him back. He held his gun up and fired a few rounds, each rubber bullet hitting the single miliant where no man would want to get hit. He grinned as gunfire exploded back, the militant whom he shot fell down and the rest of the platoon gathered positions to fire back with their non-leathals.

Within Minutes the Small detachment of M2s and Infantry had overtaken the Hill with minimal losses on their side, for the Terrorists however, they had fought till the last man dead. The rest of the men packed up their mortars and fell in behind the Attack squad, continuing their push towards Mt. Scenery. it was a straight shot from Old Booby Hill.

Colonel Pierce, from the Beachhead ordered a Small detachment of 5 Apache helicopters to support the assualt upon Mt Scenery.

Doujin forces, having quickly secured the city Hell's Gate, left a detachment of 100 soldiers and 5 T-255 tanks, and headed to roundevous with Liberate forces at Mt. Scenery

Despite the 2nd's advance across the island towards Mt. Scenery, the Rebels seem to have acquired a number of 14.4mm AA guns, about 20 in total, and were fireing at anythin flying near the island.

As a result, the Apaches were forced to retreat to the sea until the guns could be suppressed.

Major Genor and the Platoon ran like the wind towards the capital building, each step brought hundreds of bullets and about five screaming militants who relize how frigile their body really is. Genor signaled forward fast and the platoon stepped up the pace, ignoring hiding places and showing no mercy to attackers.

"Liberate forces report AA guns on the island, sir."

"Hmm... launch 5 Su-34's and 3 more RF-11s to take them out. Damn I wish I had a Mackensen class Battleship with us."

The aircraft screach toward the island, coming in low. The AA guns, not prepared for such an attack, were destroyed - but not without loss. Two of the older aircraft, the Su-34's were blown apart.

So close where they that no second after each one in the platoon sighed three explosions sent each flying backwards, sideways, up, and whichever way went where with RPG's. Genor scremed in agony as he felt severe pain in his right arm, burning as the first blast took him, his Lieutenant, and two other soldiers for a ride in air. Miliseconds later he heard another explosion followed by more yells and screamns and one final explosion that was obviously ment for him, and did its job at causing him pain throughout his bodu as the fireball engulfed him and sent the Lieutenant and other two soldiers away from the carnage into a nearby blown-out store.

The 2nd infantry soon comes within Half a click of Mt Scenery's slopes. They are greeted with heavy RPG fire and 14.4mm MG fire, forcing much of the 2nd into fallback positions. A few tanks however stayed ahead to try and keep the Rebel's heads down long enough for some sort of relief to arrive in the form of artillery, the mortars were useless as the Rebels were extremely well entrenched in the slopes, and wasteing rounds wasnt an option right now. But for right then 2 M2s and 1 Mekelron tanks were steadily pouring Machingun fire, HE rounds, and Beehive rounds into the Eastern Slope of the mountain, waiting for Air support from the doujin forces to put those RPGs and 2 remaining AA guns out of commision so that the infantry could advance up the mountain without tank support.

Within 30 minutes, the tanks were running very low on Ammunition and it was decided to use the 2nd's teargas Mortar ammunition to bombard the Mountain, then charge with mounted infantry to its base, then dismount and re-take the mountain.

Terrorist Cell Command Bunker

"Sir, I think this new aircraft radar we found is having a little problem, there's a whole lot of static all around the circle." A man in a guerilla outfit calls out to another, similarly dressed man behind him.

He walked closer to the radar and looked at the screen. A second later, his eyes widened.

"Holy shit! That's not stat--"

A thunderstorm of sonicbooms rocked the mountain, fighter upon fighter, bomber upon bomber, helicopter upon helicopter, the United Socialist States of Zvarinograd's massive airforce carpetbombed and carpetmissled Mt. Scenery. The swarm of aircraft took upon the duty of nearly levelling the mountain and the terrorists in it. With thier shock, the terrorists weren't even prepared for the carnage, it appeared far too late when they began shooting at the United Socialist States of Zvarinograd's airforce. They only shot three down before being anniliathed by a missle.

Within moments, Mt. Scenery was a huge charred pile of soil and rock. The once lush forest was levelled and with it all the terrorists above ground level. This gave Liberated American forces the chance to overrun the survivors.

All of the United Socialist States of Zvarinograd's pilots never responded to the Liberate Command's attempts for communication, they just left as sudden and as silent as they came. They never knew who they were.

As soon as the Sheer destruction of Mt. Scenery Ceased, many of the Liberate Soldiers removed their helmets in awe, and walked to the top of the smoldering Mt. Scenery, and calmly placed a ASLA flag upon its summit, to signal a victory for the Liberate Forces.

Next Stop, The Bottom, The Key to the island. Whoever Controls top bottom controls the island. Meanwhile M109 Paladin Artillery pieces were being moved to the Summit of Mt Scenery (what was left of it) in order to bombard Terrotist positions in the city.

As the units of the 2nd infantry division gathered around the Southern Base of Mt. Scenery in preparation for the final offensive of the conflict, Paratroopers from the 131st Airborne Brigade Landed south of the city, and had taken a hold on much of the Southern end of the Island, Effectively encircling the Terrorists located inside The Bottom.

Preliminary Bombardments of the city by the M109 Paladins commenced as thunderous explosions rang throughout the valleys, and the city became inflamed.

Colonel Pierce spoke a few words into the reciever of his radio before slamming it onto the table and cursing very loudly as his assistant ran into the tent thinking something had happened. "Is everything alright sir?", the assistant said, PD-9 at the ready. "Its more then alright son, we just got word the hit that damn city with everything we got, and do whatever it takes to dislodge those bastards. "Good news sir, ill alert the XOs to the orders." The short man ran out of the tent to spread the word across the lines to attack with all you've got upon the Colonel's signal.


And the word spread via radio to each battalion, platoon, and squad across the entire island to attack the city, when a flare, launched from an M109, ignites above the city.


And so the bombardment of the city began, as 99% of the non-islamic citizens had been evacuated off the island days before, any colateral damage in the Brass' eyes would be more than acceptable if it meant dislodging the enemy from the city, and ultimately ending this bloody conflict.


The HE began reigning upon the city, thunderous explosions could be felt across the island, the M109s werent gonna let up until they had exhausted every bit of their ammunition. By the time they had finished, almost half of the entire city was either in flames, or leveled to the ground. And so the signal came.

At precisely 5:40, twenty minutes before sunrise, 4,500 infantry,500 M2A3 Bradly IFVs ,250 M2 Abrams tanks, and 50 Mekelron tanks converged onto the city, all sweeping through the city with never-before seen ferocity, high caliber gunfire echoed across the island as it never did before. 25mm, 120mm, small arms fire streaked across the city, defeating entire rebel units left and right.

In only 15 minutes of battle, it was over, every single Rebel had fought to the last man, and was killed by Liberate forces. Final Victory had been achieved across the island.

A violent chapter in Liberate History comes to a close as Liberate Forces on Salvan officially declared victory across the entire island, as the main terrorist strongohld in the city of The Bottom was assaulted by the 2nd Armored division, and captured. Each Rebel in the city fought to the death. But victory doesnt come without a price, the official casualty report comes to 150 Wounded, and 40 dead for the entire operation. Upwards of 3,500 Islamic Revolutionaries were killed in the operation.

I must agree with Al khals government in finding the use of the word terrorist for the mere reason that they are muslims insulting. This whole event sems to me like an Attempt to be truly liberated by the Salvany people, they seem to have had enough of Liberated America's tyranical rule, and only to find themselves opressed yet again by Liberated America's use of excessive force While the world watches on doing nothing! I for one stand with the people of Salvana, on this their darkest hour!

Sadley, as I must report, it is not without loss that this victory has come about. Yet as all tell about the battle of Liberate America, all forget the Confederate men and women of Tulrania whom was given the choice and accepted the cause of freeing that fellow nations lands.
It was their first real combat mission, Tulrania's first real international combat mission. Every citizen tuned in to see either their children, husbands, wifes, friends, Hero's, fight for this new nation of Liberate America, knowing that it was a just cause they chose to help, chose to fight.
Yet they died, when intelligence was wrong, when equipment was useless. What we recieved to send was not precise, intelligence of the situation was WRONG. Tulrania citizens weap over this, but somehow seem glad that this pathetic island is free.
It it were up to me I would invade it myself, free these people from this government, let none help with our allies, and proceed to add that island to Tulrania.
Yet, my people have spoken. Even as the news from that Osprey pilot told us how the 2nd Platoon died, explosion by missle impact in transport, and even as the 1st Platoon ran towards their goal and was instantly killed by eighteen RPG rounds, all died, all dead, my people wish to leave it be.
Let the world know from henceforth that no Tulranian life shall be sacrifice for another foolish cause WITHOUT proper intelligence, WITHOUT proper guidence, and WITHOUT proper equipment.

Our nation lost twenty brave souls that day, all for freeing an island that wanted itself to be free. Yet we wanted to show our friendship, helping any way we could. I pray that this was not in vain, for if those lives died fighting an unjust cause, the nation known as Liberate America will die a painfull and rightous death, either by my hands or my peoples.

Your story seems to be riddeled with propagnada, and the government of The People's Republic of Beroovia has serious problems with OCN's version of the events. It is not news to anyone how OCN is heavily influenced by your government. This group "The Muslim Pact" seems more like a liberation front for the oppressed muslims and poor alike of Salvan. Our sources inside tell us that "The Muslim pact" actually came from inside Salvan and not from any hijacked freighter. For 10 or 15 to stow away on the ship seems unlikey enough but for a thousand, it is hard to belive that no one noticed them. It suprises our goverment that the free people of the world did not raise and eyebrow or ask a question about this. I put to you that the story of some sort of foreign invasion from an unknown country by islamic terrorists was fabricated to enable you the use of deadly force with legitamacy.

We are recieving many reports now of the conditions the muslim people of Salvan lived under which led to this uprising, the capitast regime installed in Salvan by the Liberated American government encouraged it's non muslim people to miss treat the muslims through the use of suttle propaganda techniques and their complete controll of the media. The people of beroovia have viewed the pictures of the ghettos and shanty towns the muslim people had to live in and the hardship they endured. They were not able to build mosques where they are needed because the non muslims would find it frightning and offensive. Their homes where raided because they where suspected as having "terrorist links". They where looked at with scorn on the streets and their children could not go to school with other Salvan's from fear of reprisely from non muslim children.

We sympathise with the poor Salvans living under capitalism and our fellow muslims that died bravely for freedom, justice and truth. We urge Liberal America to pull out of Salvan completely for peace to prevail.

The Liberate Government puts down these false accusations, brought forth by the Beroovian government, the OCN news network is in no way influenced by government officials, in the way of masking government activities. The Liberate government assures the world it had no intentions of supporting prejudice against its muslim citizens. The matter at hand, however was dealt with thusly, and the rebellion has been put down. The island of Salvan is no longer home to anyone at this time.
