The man in black walked down the hall, two assistants dressed likewise by his sides. Throwing back the door that stood in their way, they find a man behind a desk, awaiting their arrival.
"Hello, please sit, representatives," says the man, gesturing at the chairs infront of his desk.
"Nevermind that. We are here to discuss the civil war that has broken out," the man in black says coldly, gripping the back of the chair firmly.
"Of course, of course," says the man behind his desk. "What do you plan to do about it?"
"We have been oppressed for too long," started the man in black. "We seek only our own freedom from the oppression you levy against my people. Let my people go."
"Alright, Moses, settle down," says the man behind his desk, leaning back and taking ease. "Nothing will be given my consent unless you persuade me. We can settle this somehow."
"Yes," says the man in black. "And that is MY way..."
"And what is YOUR way...?"
"My people will separate from your country. We will become a Holy Republic, separate in all ways from this one."
"And what will this Holy Republic be named?"
The man in black pauses. "Meowtopia."
The man behind the desk starts laughing. "Meowtopia!?! Will your national animal be the cat, then?" he laughs.
Behind the man in black, one of his assistants opens a small cylinder, and a noxious scent begins to waft through the air. "The cat. Yes," says the man in black calmly, as he turns to leave the room.
The man's laughs become choking sounds. He tugs at his collar. "What's that?" he gasps.
The man in black pauses at the door, turning back to look at the man behind the desk, weakly trying to stand. "Don't ask, don't smell," he says, then shuts the door behind him.
