Now, when you look at this, I know you might say "But they already have the SS-20 and then some! Thinks I'm gonna buy that? Yeah right!" But I have to say... the SS-18 has a payload of 25 MT, to 50 MT. Yes, 50 MT. That is 100 trillion pounds of nuclear payload. The only problem is that silos require modification, and most portable systems won't work. Here are the prices.

SS-18: 5,000 USD
50 MT warhead: 400,000 USD
Silo modification: 20,000 USD
Entire modified silo: 100,000 USD
Napalm warhead: 10,000 USD
C-4/Heavy Water warhead: 100,000 USD

If any of my prices are completely unreasonable, tell me, and I will try and help you.

OOC: Um... No. Most Russian and American sources states that the nuclear payload is only at average about 20 megatons.

RGRT Yeah they carry about 20mT, no where near 50. But the CEM sucks so it takes a huge warhead to make up for it. Thus why US weapons were lower yield, they had a much better CEM so their nuke landing about 500m off target will do the same damage as teh Russian one landing 5,000m off target.

50 MT is too large for a conventional rocket. Have you ever seen the 50 MT the russians detonated? About the size of the Space Shuttle!

Yeah the TSAR bomb. They had to specially modify a Tu-95 to carry it and there is only one Tu-95 in their inventory capable of delivering the bomb. Sad really. I love the fact that our weapons were all deliverable by more than ONE aircraft.

Nice to see that Propoganda works.

If only it were, I'd think the Russians could hit a city but sheesh some of their CEMs are disgusting, no where they had 10, 15, 20 mT warheads. Ahh the joy of getting the good scientists from Germany.

You're a joke.

This si the SS-18 The first version could carry a single warhead at 14000 km with 430 m accuracy.

Ah so you say. But all of this was discussed with a Russian who agreed and in fact laid on some other interesting knowledge about the CEMs and such.

THe SS-18 and SS-19 are among the best ICBM's ever created. With there large payloads and great accuracy, The first version could carry a single warhead at 14000 km with 430 m accuracy(SS-18), they are extremly deady and it's no wonder that the US wanted them banned so much.

I won't doubt they are deadly SOBs. But I'm more of a fan of the Peacekeeper's. I love MIRV and lower yield and better accuracy. After all it was such a push to ban MIRVs by the Russians was well :)

An SS-18 Variant(model 5) was able to hold 10, 750Kiloton MIRV and place them with the same degree of accuracy as model 1.

Mod 5 was double as accurate as Mod 1 at least give them that. Still not as accurate as the Peacemaker though. Only drawback is the Peacemaker wasn't allowed to be built in any real numbers, 50 is nothing, and they didn't have hard-target capability. Minuteman III was for that.

So are you saying that SS-18 MOd 5 would play a warhead within 215m or a target 14,000Km away? Thats a long way off the 5km you said before.

215m with a 750Kilton warhead would obliterate anything.

And you have to rememder an an everyage SS-18 silo hardness was around 6,000PSI and most US silos had 4,000PSI so a US nuke had a harder job destoying the silo than Soviet

500m for the SS-18. Org. SS-18s were 1000m. Other Soviet ICBMs have CEPs (not CEM...doh always make that mistake) of in excess of 2500 with very high yield warheads.

OOC: Sorry if I'm sounding like a nag

Your prices are way too low. The least a modern nuclear device would cost is $40,000,000.

Prices that I think are fair have replaced the originals
