The new frangible bullets used in the UAR is simply said a bullet that can go through the bad guys head while not taking out your friend Steve standing right next to him. The key is that once penetetration has occured the bullet literally turns into sand. But dont let that fool you, these bullets are very lethal. The tip of the bullet is coated with a special chemical that dissolves the lead tip when it comes into contact with the enzymes in the blood. This gives the frangible bulllet the capability of low grade armor peircing. Note that the bullet dissolves after 1.5 seconds of contact with human blood-a very long time when you shoot the guy from point blank.
