*The TV screen fades into the NNNN symbol.*

*The picture fades into a news room. At the desk, there are two reporters - one beutiful woman reporter and a man whose looks aren't even half that good. The camera zooms into the man.*
"Hello, and thank you for tuning into NNNN," the man says. "I am Samuel Robinson and here are your headlines."
*The camera pans over to the woman.*
"Thank you, Sam," she says. "I am Laura Brown here with the headlines. There is a Christmas pary being held at Nanakaland's Government Castle. Rumor has it that famous leaders from all over the world will be attending. In other news -"
*The camera moves its focus over to Sam.*
"This just in!" he says excitedly. "The Nanakaland military forces are readying. Rumor has it that Nanakaland may be preparing to invade an old rival. Here is Rebecca Thomas with more."
*The screen switches to another scene, this time with a beutiful woman standing in front of Fort Nanaka (across the street from Government Castle in Nanakapolis).*
"Thank you, Sam," Rebecca says, smiling. "I am near Fort Nanaka, trying to get some details on what is so far just a widespread rumor. So far, I have only found out a few things. Firstly, I found out that Nanakaland is recruiting soldiers and is calling up reserves. I have also found out that the navy is grouping together in Port Nanaka for the first time since Holy Mercenaries attacked the major port. I will get more details on the story when it comes."
[OOC: Who said that this is more than rumors? Think before you act.]
What exactly r you nations purpose for this supposed "war"?
What exactly r you nations purpose for this supposed "war"?
It says it might be with an "old rival." The purpose of the war would be for revenge. And I never said I was preparing for an invasion. It is just a rumor. For all everyone knows, I could be preparing defence. After all, I am the master of the creative RP (what better RP than a bunch of reporters reporting on what might be a war?).
ooo, sneaky :D
As long as u dont invade me, (ill bomb you to hell  ) do what you will
I find this as a nice lead in to a RP that could go any way.

OOC: that is a kick-ass RP starter. I'll definitely keep watch of this.
our military has gone up to alert level 3.
Tahar Joblissan naval elements have begun ominous redeployments, which do not entirely fit with recent news of massive overhauls and replacements being put forth in a time described as "peacable."
The TJS Octopus has been restationed noticably (but not particularly) close to Nanakaland with its escort.

*The picture fades into the familiar NNNN broadcasting room. At the desk, Sam and Laura are sitting there. The camera zooms in on Sam.*
"Hello, and thank you for watching NNNN," he says. "I am Samuel Robinson and here are your headlines."
*The camera pans over to Laura.*
"Thank you, Sam," she says. "I am Laura Brown here with the headlines. First, a new lead in the mysterious army gathering of Nanakaland may change the story. Secondly, the international Christmas party in Nanakaland will still be held even though the military is drilling across the street. Other than that, it's been a rather slow news day for Nanakaland. Here is Rebecca Thomas, on location, with more on the two stories."
*The screen switches into the familiar sight of Rebecca standing in front of Fort Nanaka.*
"Thank you, Laura," Rebecca says with a fake smile. "I am here again at Fort Nanaka. I have recently dug up a few details that may be surprising for you. The first thing is that the Nanakaland government has recently acquired 500 horses for a "parade" reason. Also, the military isn't the only thing preparing for something - the military marching band is also. This could simply be preparations for a parade or a government cover-up."
*The camera moves around to the other side of the street and Rebecca turns to face it.*
"I am here at Government Castle, across the street from Fort Nanaka, with more details on the Christmas party," Rebecca explains. "Government leaders are indeed going to be there. I have gotten hold of one of the copies of the guest list." She holds up a peice of paper. "It has people on in ranging from nations like Dregruk to the Belmore Family. The party will not be canceled, regardless of any international or local events. For international news I will be digging up a story soon, so until then, this is Rebecca Thomas."
*The screen fades into nothing.*
"Please note that NNNN is in no way linked to the Nanakaland government," a voice says.
*The screen then fades into the news room again.*
"Hello," says Sam. "I am Samuel Robinson and here is the latest sports news...."

Concerned by reports coming out of Nanakaland, a nation that has every reason to consider Copiosa Scotia an "old rival," the Copiosa Scotian government ordered that the First and Third Free Provinces Fleets be brought to combat readiness. With this new development and the overseas deployments in Augnista and the Black Sea, Copiosa Scotia has reached its highest level of naval mobilization since World War V.

[OOC: As far as everyone knows, the mobilizations were just a parade. The following telegram is not yet known to anyone except the President and the general.]
Nanakaland holds a massive military parade in the streets of Nanakapolis, it's capital. All of the military is there, except a small (compared to the rest of the army) task force. The parade is going on and suspicions end, but the tensions are actually increasing. President Michael J. Smith sends a secret, encrypted telegram to a general saying:
Encrypted Telegram
Prepare the forces. You will be the one in charge when it starts. Make sure that no one, not even your own soldiers, know the destination of the assault until it is time. We can't afford an information leak. I will give you one week before you are to attack. Hopefully there can be a peaceful resolution before then.

"Hello, and thank you for tuning into NNNN," he says. "I am Samuel Robinson and now here's Laura."
*The camera pans over to Laura.*
"Thank you, Sam," she says. "I am Laura Brown here with the headlines. As Christmas draws closer, few people can forget about the Christmas party being held at Government Castle. Here's Frank Williams with more."
*The screen switches to a man standing in front of Government Castle.*
"Hello," says the man. "I am Frank Williams with more on the Christmas party. The national leaders are going to be comming within the next few days as -"
*The screen goes black for a few minutes and then fades into a NNNN symbol.*

"I am sorry," a voice says. "We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties."

OOC: I'm not really participating militarily...just me watching the TV ;)
IC: As the President of the Zoogie People watches the latest NNNN broadcast, he cannot help but notice that at first, Network was spelled Netwrok. This, in his mind, may indicate a fake or a hijacking of the network? He is unsure.

Heh, I'm not criticizing you, just wondering if that was intentional ;)
