Coastguard - bids
In earlier times the need was not present, but alas. The increasing amount of smuggling taking place into- and out of The Grand Duchy of Trabay have resulted in us establishing a Coast Guard/Coastal Police Force.
We are anouncing a contract for twelve patrolboats for aforementioned use. They must meet the following requirements:
* max length 200 ft
* max width 50 ft
* max depth 12 ft
* min maxspeed at 50 knots
* equipped wit a SS gun capable of sinking/severly damaging unarmored ships at min maxrange 1,5 nm
* be able to discover, follow, track and hunt other surface vessels in severe weather conditions.
* be able to discover, track and harm airborne vessels at min maxrange 10 nm
* equipped with standard radio and communications equipment
* be able to operate on its own without refuling or resupply of any kind for min a week
* have a naval rescue and anti-pollution capability
* A stealth-capability for these vessels is, although not an absolute requirement, sought after.
The Grand Duke's governement is looking forward to recieving bids from possible contractors.

You're requirements are impossible:
it is impossible to get a ship that large to go that fast, and it is impossible to find a ship that small with those capibilities.
They just don't exist.
My Defiance class can fulfill most of your needs, also check out the Orion class.

This is not the case. The Skjold (Shield-) class MTB (the worlds fatest warship) have all those capabilities and is even smaller and goes even faster.
We are now looking into the Defiance-proposal and will reply soon.
it doesn't go faster than 50 knots.

OOC: 50 knots is pretty quick...
In any case, this is one of the smaller most dependable vessels we use as "Coast Guard".

it doesn't go faster than 50 knots.
Actually it has a max speed of approx. 60 knots.
Sorry, it doesn't. 53.843 knots. You were right it does go over 50, but not 60.
Trabay is looking into the HELLENIC 62 METRE SUPER VITA-class, but may be forced not to consider the bid due to the extreme reluctance of portions of its MPs to trade with Sambizie.

Where did you get that number from?
According to KNM's (RNN) homesite it has a potential max speed of 60 knots in sea 0 (no currents or winds) and 45 knots in sea 3.
I suppose we could debate this issue on a yes-no basis for quite some time.

Your ship is quite possible as the fastest hydrofoils can reach 65 knots, but you might be asking too much about the capabilities.
...
Sokol is the world's largest and most powerful operational hydrofoil "warship". Displacement 465 tons, maximum speed is 60 knots, built by Zelenodolsk shipyard in 1977.
