The streets of Mostovia's capital Chisinau are now the scene of Europe's latest velvet revolution - or are they?

As the MSI students siezed the Parliament, tanks of the Mostovian Defence Force were heading towards the city centre...

Observing the situation in Mostovia, President Pertrovich voices her conserns about the deployment of tanks to deal with protesters to journalists.

"Is that not just a little barbaric?" she asks, before adding, "surely they have a right to protest on the streets, why don't you just use your troops to protect government buildings" before realising she's probally said too much.

"All personell to emergency stations. Repeat, all personell to emergency stations. Rioters now reported withing two blocks." Even as the call went out, security (and many non security) peresonel at the FPS embassy in Mostovia began to put on body armor in preperation for the rioters. They would not use weapons on the rioters (as they were citizens of another nation), but would attempt to defend the embassy to the best of their ability.

In the embassy command center (a small room with six computers, a lot of chairs, and a video screen), the ambassador was sitting, watching through cameras as the rioters got closer. Ambassador ChrisDrens was rather panicked, as he knew that his staff could only hold out so long. Yet, the embassy only no choppers, and there were rioters in all directions, stopping any chance whatsoever of driving the embassy vehicles to make a mistake. His only consolation was the promise of a group of black hawks to evacuate the embassy...in three hours. It seemed the embassy was doomed.

A floor below, the FPS Intelligence office was also in panic. They had a little over 3000 papers, 100 floppies, 300 CD's, and 20 hard drives to delete in somewhere around an hour (calculating that it would take the rioters 10 minutes to reach the embassy, about 20 minutes to take out the embassy guards, and half an hour to bypass the three door security entrance to the intelligence office). If they failed, civilians could get a hold of top secret diplomatic papers, not to mention the agents themselves. If they succeded....they weren't in much better shape. But at least they would complete their task. Even as Agent Jordan Eiserman rushed to burn and shred the papers, he was thinking over the situation in his mind, and realizing again and again how pointless it was. He wasn't going to give up, however, because the less these rebels got, the less damage that would be done.

The question was, would the rioters attack the embassy? If so, the embassy stood little or no chance of survival. If not, it would be evacuated within three hours. Of course, that's assuming the intelligence office had finished deleting documents by then.

Realizing the Mostovian Government's hesitation, The Liberated Government decides to act upon its own will. Mostovia's hesitation earned them a loss of much of the city to the communists, who are continually recruiting people who sympathize with their cause.

By this time the Revolutionaries had started to make their way to the newly created Liberated Embassy, as it was newly created, it was lightly staffed, and lightly guarded. Without Mostovia's consent, the Liberated Government Loaded 5 Blackhawks with 25 ELite Guard, with the aim of evacuating its citizens from the embassey, back to the Fatherland.

Upon arriving at their destination, The Guard found the embassey to be mostly intact, with almost 1/2 of its staff sporting Small arms and standing on the rooftop, waiting to be evacuated from the soon-to-be warzone.

After the guard repelled from the blackhawks onto the rooftop, they began loading the some 30 staff members into 3 of the choppers, the other 2 orbited the sight, ready to engage any targets.

About 10 minutes intot the operation, the Communists arrived at the embassey and began firing small arms at the choppers and Liberated Troops. Trying to avoid an Internal Incident any further, the choppers increased their oribiting altitude past effective range of a small rifle.

The troops on the other hand were having a very hard time dealing with the rioters. They were now tossing Molatov cocktails onto the roof, injuring a few staff members.

Meanwhile to any forces inside or about Mostovia, a call of distress has been given by the Embassy of Carmayar for help, getting them out of the city.. Citizens, staff and so forth. IN total about 100 people which have all converged and are barricaded inside the Embassy.

As for Carmayar, a Message of Peace, and prayers have gone towards Mostovia's people...

The Liberated troops held their fire until one of the rioter's molatov's hit a guard whom was assisting a staff member into one of the choppers, setting him aflame almost instantly. Holding no reguard for international law several troops rushed to the edge of the roof and began firing into the crowd which had gathered below, causing many dead upon the rioters.

With the badly wounded soldier and all the staff members aboard the choppers, they began liftoff back to their native country.

However, seconds after leaving the scene, a 90mm Recoilless round impacted one of the chopper's tail rotors, immediately downing it in the middle of an intersection. Aboard the chopper were 5 Guard and 2 Staff Members. The remaining 4 Choppers Quickened their pace and returned to their airbase.

Generalissimo Lobonsky sits in his office behind his dark redwood desk.
"What is it?" He listens to the aide report about the situation in Mostovia.
He lights his pipe and stuffs it into his mouth, puffing on it contemplatively.
"We are a small nation. But we must help Socialism wherever possible, and prevent the slaughter of protesters. Damn the Chinese. They ruined Communism's face with their slaughter of the students. Communism is not like that!" He bangs his fist on the desk.
Having calmed down over the next 15 minutes, he dispatches with no permission three AN-225s with 6 T-81UM1, and 7 KL-60 helicopters filled with soldiers, one with an elite group of snipers.
He sends a message to the former government of Mostovia:
The USSCR will support the revolution. The USSCR will, however, prevent the revoultion from killing the former government personnel.

As loyalist tanks slowly move towards the city centre HPSauce troops take up postitions, Demolition grade Hot Sauce loaded into their launchers, ready to ambush the Government armour.

As the tanks roll down the street the first salvo is fired, striking the lead tank and blowing it to smithereens. A similar fate befalls two more tanks in the vanguard.

The squadron leader recovers just in time to launch shells at the building housing HPSauce troops. The building collapse killing several.
Darren Honeyandmustard orders an immediate retreat, as the soldiers flee the tanks persue onwards crushing a soldier beneath their tracks.
Luckily a 'copter on route to support the HPSauce troops arrives just in time to save them, firing several hot-sauce salvos and making quick work of the assembled armour.

The soldiers had won, but no-one celebrated. This victory had come at the cost of their friends' lives.

It reminds me of when we were held up once in an old Al Abnar Embassy, that we took from the Syrians, we made it our fort for the time being, till we could get the tribal help into the city... these old wooden gates helped us then.. "Commander get ur best team up mayday just came in from the Carmayar Embassy, seems there traped" the General sead.

8 hind-Ds fly over to the Embassy, then Ak-47 fire from the crawd towards the choppers no dammage was taken but the hinds on the left wing open fire with the chain guns targeting building not people. the crawd scattered, the came back opening fire on the choppers, an RPG hits an Hind and it falls down to the Crawd kill the crew, but 5 troops run out and head for the front doors of the embassy.
Maxs team land on the roof taken up postions to attack any rebals if fire came there way.

Night Fell upon the city, no word from the downed helicopter in the city centre. Most of the revolutionaries have taken shelter indide, however a few roamed the streets, armed mainly with AK type rifles, and a few RPGs.

Meanwhile the Liberated Gov. was assembling ground forces in preparation to evacuate its downed men, whether they are dead or alive.

This statement was broadcast over several radio frequencies to Revolutionary forces.

"Comunist Revolutionaries, the goverenment of Liberated America is not your enemy, we do not wish to take part in your revolution, the incident earlier today was an act of defense on the part of our soldiers. We ask for you to allow our tanks to enter the city and retrieve our men from a downed helicopter which crashed earlier today. We will exit the city without a single shot being fired if you allow us to do so peacefully. You have Twenty-five Minutes to reply before our forces enter the city."

Commander Zaitsev motioned to the pilot of the cargo plane. "How long?" The pilot shouted back, "30 seconds!" Zaitsev went back and shouted that they had 30 seconds before the jump. He looked at the light, it changed yellow. He motioned for the troops to get ready. Green, "Go, Go, Go" The men lept from the plane. 150 men dropped towards the edge of the city...

As soon as Zaitsev hit the ground, he begin folding and hiding his parachute. After he finished this he activated the radio. "All units attention, do not fire unless fired upon, we are here to protect the Communists." He switched frequencies on the radio. "Forces of Liberated America, this is Commander Zaitsev of the Hattian People's Army. Please display a flag on your tanks so that we do not fire on them, and we will carry our flag so that you do not attack us."

7 units from the 2nd Div, were sitting in a building over look the down chopper of Liberated America, there numbers were low and they didnt want to make them self known to Liberated America incase it sparked an attack from the rebals.

the sundenly and load BANG went off. Rebals start to attack the down chopper not to kill but to scar, then they ran away, seemed to be gloting in downing a helecopter.
then AK fire started, the Revolutionaires seemed to be attacking the people in the chopper, then a voice was heard

Picking up his reciever, Captain Pierce of the lead Abrams spoke, "We Acknowledge Hattia, Raising our banners now." Putting the reciever down, he motioned to the rest of the column to display their colors.

Whether you are a member of the Student Brigade or a loyalist of the government of President Chigal you must see that outsiders who have no business other than imperialism to meddle in the affairs of Mostovia have taken advantage of the situation! Unite and fight them. Then as comrades negotiate an end to your civil strife. The people of Tunji are with you in spirit and will offer any Mostovian refugees political asylum from this horrible incident."

The column was continually slowed down due to barricades in the road, they had to find a new route every 5 minutes, and the darkness was not helping either. Nightvision was almost useless with all the fires, but they still couldnt see very clearly.

Captain Pierce thought to himself about the fact they had not even seen a single Rebel since they entered the city, and he began to have a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

All of a sudden, from down the street large caliber gunfire began puring towards the Column. Pierce looked through his thermal gogfles towards the end of the street, it seemed to be some sort of Anti-Aircraft cannon firing at them. The rounds bounced harmlessly off the tanks reactive armor, however Pierce did not want to disobey orders. He rotated the Turret of his M2 around and fired a single 120mm HE round into the battery, scattering slag and burning wreckage all over the alley. The emplacement was detroyed. Pierce waited for a minute before continuing down the street, and ultimately towards the crashsight.

As the tanks passed Zaitsev Pierce picked up his reciever and spoke, "No thanks Hattia, we have it under control so far, if we need you we'll let ya know."

After Pierce set his reciever back down a Hail of RPG fire began reigning upon the Column, knocking the tracks off the Second Abrams and Damaging the Radio of Pierce's M2.

Acting quickly Pierce ordered all M2s to load M82 Beehive Rounds into their 120mm guns and take aim at the base of each structure which lined the current street, which was about 6 car lenghths wide with the M2s and Bradleys in the middle. As the M2s Turrets swiveled and their breeches were closed several thunderous explosions signalled the fire of the beehive rounds into the bases of about 7 buildings from which the RPGs were being fired from. Thousands of Ball Bearing came ripping into the structures, causing them to implode, killing all within.

Pierce Ordered a Halt of the Column until Daybreak to repair the 2 Damaged M2s. The rest of the column fell into a Circle and the infantry set up camp.

The Division was woken by a loud PING sound, which seconds later was realized to be a recoiless rifle, fired from down the street towards an M2A3 Bradley, the round inpacted Its front Track and totalled itm the crew however survived and escaped from the vehicle. The 3 M2A3s which were on night watch returned 25mm He rounds down the street at the now almost 200 strong Rebel force which was coming at them.

Tank crews ran every which way and began crewing up the M2A3s and M2 Abrams. The 3 Operating M2A3s Continued to Fire .308 and 25mm rounds into the Rebel force, killing many before they found sufficient cover and began to fire at the division. 4 M2s which had been crewed up rolled in the meet the rebels, fireing 120mm HE and .50 at the Rebels, killing few as they had entrenched in a few buildings and behind a Large Steel statue of a horse.

The Armor kept the Rebels supressed until 4 squads of Elite Guard were able to Move up and begin to advance towards the Rebels, who at this time had moved 3 14.4 mm AA guns into position and were fireing at the Division's camp.

The 4 Squads entrenched As the Rebels were and began a fierce firefight which was a stalemate for several minutes until 1 of the M2s was able to penetrate the Rebel Line and Destroy the 14.4mm Cannons, which demoralized the Rebels and the Rest of the Guard was able to move in and Neutralize what was left of the Rebels.


Reported Losses - 4 Guard Wounded, 1 M2A3 Disabled.

The Imperial Dictatorship of Norahc has 1 platoon of infantry (about 30 men) ready to aid in stopping this riot. They are under the command of 1st Lieutenant Andrew Isles. Just give me the word.

The Armoured Column Buttoned up and began traversing the city once again, arriving at the crash site in a little under an hour with little resistance, When they reached the city centre, the armoured vehicles forced a circle around it, blocking all roads in and out of it.

All officers get to your units, comes the sound of Lieutenant Ryan's voice over loud speaker. I repeat get to your units.

1 hour later in the command vehicle.

Lieutenant Ryan: 1st Lieutenant Isles, we have arrived.

Pierce Paced around the crash site, no blood.....nothing. What couldve happened? He ordered the Column to make a Base camp in the city centre and set up MaDeus .50 Machine Guns in the surrounding buildings, along with TOW launchers. He also ordered snipers to take positions on the rooftops to cover all avenues of attack.

The government of the United Socialist States of UnControlableDaisies(USSUCD) would like to declare its support of this socialist revolution. However we hope that this riot will not turn into a civil war as it threatens to due to the misguided interventions of other governments. We are firmly dedicated to democracy in every country and would like to see new democratic elections as soon as possible. However for this to happen the foreign troops would have to return to their homelands. So we urge all of the governments of these troops to abandon their mission to save both lives and democracy. If and when these troops leave our goverment would then, along with any other nations, be willing to send independent observers to ensure the smooth running of new elections if required. However if the troops do not pull out we fear that many millions of lives could be lost.

OOC: Did Mostavia ever say his rioters were armed? I guess were assuming so. Nice pictures guys, especially you Liberated America.

Ambassador Chris Drens sat in his chair, watching the reports from diffirent parts of the cities come in. He didn't fancy himself as being in a great position, but at least the rebels outside his embassy were not using weapons...yet. The embassy personell were still holding back the rioters with teargass at the outer gates, but it would not be long before that teargass supply ran out. Drens had attempted to send a message to the rioters, telling them that his government was socialist as well, but it backfired. These kids were sick of socialists, not all out capitalists. The choppers were still 2 and a half hours away, and the embassy was suspected to hold out for, at tops, another hour and a half. They had originally been wrong about the amount of time for the rioters to take out security...but they had been assuming weapons would be used. The only weapons these rioters seemed to be using, however, were rockets.
"Report. Any gunfire reported?" asked Ambassador Drens
"Well sir, not yee..." the mans phrase was interupted by an explosion which rocked the building.

A floor below, Agent Jordan Eiserman felt the explosion, and nearly toppled into one of the rooms many fires. "DAMNIT, SHOTS FIRED!" not that they cared about the revolutionaries having guns. However, this did mean they'd have to hurry. Eiserman opened the door to the second storage room, realizing that they were only a fourth of the way through the first (which was made up of a lot of stuff), and hadn't even touched on the second, which was all paper. Damn, they had been lucky the rocket propelled grenade had not crashed into the room, starting a fire...."Wait", thought Eiserman aloud, "A grenade would cause a fire...making the papers burn....HOLY....GUYS, I GOT IT." Rushing through the security doors, he stopped the first security officer he found, and grabbed a grenade. Rushing back, he chucked it into the room, incinerating nearly 2000 papers. The fire was stopped quite easily by the fire system, but the job had already been done. "Alright boys, let's hurry up."

In the meantime, the FPS embassy had requested some forces to help hold back the rioters (peacefully). They couldn't evacuate untill all the files were destroyed, so they would need peacekeepers of some sort.

The Liberated American government issues this statement to the USSUCD -

"Liberated America's part in this revolution is simply a rescue operation for her troops who were attacked by these rebels. As soon as the operation is complete we shall move our forces from Mostovia and return to our homeland. We do not seek to interfere with Mostovia's Issues, only to evacuate Liberated Americas Citizens in a peacable manner, whether or not we fire upon the rebels is the choice of the rebels."

the ranger team got ready, 4 men and 3 wemen were suiting up, "ladys we have a problem seems like we have some MIAs on our part and some Liberated Americas troops, and guess what we're being sent in to find them all" she singerd, the commander had blond hair down to her sholders she had green eyes and vary gd looking.
as soon as they were ready the move to the Hind-D MK VII , they set off to the Crash site.

He felt very secure in the encampment as the rebels had nothing which would completely destroy either an M2A3, or an M2 Abrams, plus he hadnt lost a single man yet.

Outside the tent men were building entrenchments and setting up the Mounted Weapons.

OOC: Was commander Zaitsev real? Or is this based on the Zaitsev who postulated the regioselectivity of Alkene addition or something along those lines? Just curious.

Hattia would like to remind everyone that our mission is to protect our comrades, not to take over the country. We also would like to try to calm the rioters down, our logic being that perhaps they would listen to fellow Communists, and this doesn't seem like the kind of situation to send civilians into.

Dusk was upon the encampment, there was only enough food and water for them to hold out for 3 days. They would have to make a decision sometime soon. Either stay here and see what happens, or abandon the downed guardsmen and civilians. And that wasnt an option. So Pierce opted to sit tight. He imposed that at least one one quarter of the encampment's Vehicles and Emplaced weaponry be manned at night, along with at least 1/2 of the infantrymen be awake in case of a suprise attack.

the hind-d MK VII was hovering over a building near the Crash site, the team repled down to the roof top.
the rangers ran down the stairs, clears each room on the way down, once they hit the bottom the relaxed they had some supplys to last about 5 days. they set off the the camp.
they walk towards the camp.
"HOLD IT, WHO ARE U?" a guard shouted at them.
"CorpSac Rangers here to help find our missing men and urs" the commander sead "im Commander Ivana"
"mmmm...wait there, Marko get the CO" the guard shouted, a guy ran off 5 mins later Pierce was walking over.

OOC: Sorry, I left my post long ago. I've been very busy.

-Throughout the timeframe, passive USSCR troops clad in black heavy armour and T-80MU1's in Black forest camouflage sit outside the government buildings. Overhead 3 of the 7 KL-60s are constantly on patrol using FLIR to watch for any sneak-attack by the revolutionaries. The USSCR again, is supporting the revolution but protecting the former government.

Pierce came to meet the Leader of the Corpsac team, a little suprised to be shaking the hand of a woman at this point. After a short conversation, he invited them into the command tent.


After they had settled, Pierce began by asking if they have any idea where the Missing men may be.

"no we lost contact with arm team lst thing we know is that our team came down from that building" (pointing at the building the came out of) "after some rebals tryed to take ur men, then after that they tryed to contact u but couldnt contacted HQ got ordered to stay here till u got here" she informed him "i think if u will allow me to, that my unit and maby one of urs move round the city they cant have gone far, there seemed to be no gun fight so they must be alive. what 2h30mins thats about 4 maby 5 blocks. 2 teams we cheack the area take us about 1h30 each team. then after that report back here"
the rangers were ready out side, Scar the sniper was looking around "how come we always get the f***ing MIA jobs" she sead to hex. "cos we're the best and u know it" hex replyed. hex was the tracker, Vampire so he new what to look for.

While the Men (and Women) Conversed in the tent the men recieved word that a rebel attack may be imminent, and began to further entrench their positions in prepartation for an attack. They expanded their perimeter to the park, and some of the industrial sector in hopes of stopping the rebs before they even got to the city centre, there mustve been something important there that they wanted, whatever it was, the Liberated Americans werent gonna let them have it.

-Suddenly, inside the government building commandos in black burst in, Bizons raised and move to capture the "former" government officials. Their hands are bined in "easycuffs" and their heads covered with black hoods. Before each hood goes over a list is compared to. All former government leaders accounted for. The men escort the "prisoners" outside of the building into a waiting KL-60. MiG-29s roar overhead in escort as the helicopter heads back to the landing strip outside the city designated for the AN-225s. The officials were then taken to an undisclosed location. This was all done in night, and each vehicle and man painted appropriately. No announcement was made, and the troops still guard the emtpy government buildings.

After many hours of being pinned down by enemy fire.......

Lieutenant Ryan: Sergeant Yezlin, take two men and link up with 1st Lieutenant Isles, when you find him call me on the intercom and I will send you 1 leopard and whoever I can spare.

Sergeant Yezlin (through the intercom): Lieutenant Ryan we have linked up with 1st Lieutenant Isles, they were also pinned down by enemy fire. Send us what you can.
1st Lieutenant Isles: Sergeant, where are the rioters now?
Sergeant Yezlin: They have set up a strongpoint in a building about 500 metres from Lieutenant Ryan's position.
1st Lieutenant Isles (through intercom): Lieutenant Ryan, in five minutes, I want you and your force up to the rioter's strongpoint for a full attack, fix bayonets. Let your Leopard's fire a couple of rounds into the strongpoint before advancing.
Lieutenant Ryan (though intercom): yes sir.

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT:

LET IT BE ASSUMED THAT NO NATION HAS THE RIGHT TO SEND MILITARY UNITS TO MOSTOVIA BEFORE ASKING FOR AND RECIEVING PRIOR PERMISION...
