OOC: This is an IC excuse for me cutting and pasting from my old account.
IC:
A few minutes before the stockmarket closed for the day, Richard Branson gave the market a shock announcement ; that Virgin Aerospace, one of the newer contenders on the scene, had negotiated a merger with ESAA.
According to Branson, discussions first started last November when he approached ESAA. Discussions were kept secret until last month, when Virgin Aerospace resold ESAA's F-16E.
The new combined business entity will be worth some $35 billion. Former ESAA shareholders may hold their stock as part of Virgin Aerospace or choose to convert them into cash at a 10% premium.
Virgin Aerospace now own's ESAA's much covetted FSW technologies and missile division.
