How far should the Sovereignty of a nation protect it from the real United Nations and resolutions decided upon the given nation did not agree upon?

Not sure what you mean here. What I think you are trying to say is how far can you go in protecting yourself against resolutions the UN passed that you did not vote for?

Well if you are in the UN no matter how you vote, if the resolution passes you are subject to it. Thus why its better NOT to be in the UN.

Sovreignty is a loosely defined word. It can vary INSANELY. Libya declared 200 miles as their zone in the '80s when international waters is worldly recognized as 6 miles off shore (IIRC). So as you can see.

New Zealand has a 200km Territorial Waters Zone, but no-one cares because there really isn't much in that part of the world anyway...
