OOC: WWIX ONLY!
IC:

The waves were silent as the convoy approached the coasts of Norway. Spotlights sporadically patrolled the calm waters but never fell on the small convoy going into one of the fjords. The convoy was mirrored throughout 10 fjords from top to bottom of the coast of Norway. It was the beginning of the Macabean assault on the coast.

Each convoy held 500 Panzerheer and 3 Pz. VIII Nebuchadnezzars and were destined to capture coastal control points allowing a larger landing in several points thereafter.

Slowly the ships began to unload their assault boats and the smaller motor boats began their way to the coast. Heads down the leading officer on each boat told their men the mission at hand... then the coxswain whispered, "30 seconds".

The boats approached the beaches/cliffs and as soon as they hit the men either escalated the cliffs or jumped up the beaches. In 9 of the landings everything went fine but on the 10th landing a Nordic bunker saw the Macabean troops and opened fire. 12 men were killed as the machine gunner swept the party up and down. 20 lay wounded but the rest continued up the beach. In the heat of the conflict 1 of the tanks sunk into the water and down went the crew but the other two offloaded safely. They immediately opened fire on the bunker silencecing the machine bunker and allowing the infantry to slowly make their way to the mamoth building.

All over the front squads begun to take bunkers one by one using the tanks to direct fire into the slots. It would take another 30 minutes to fully take the beach but it succeeded.

In Oslo

Ambassador Moya gave the document to the Nordic king and the crown read it...

The Macabean Nation declared war on all Scandinavian countries and will move to occupy them.

The ambassador then walked out, head slouched.[/i]

The Coast

In a giant convoy 500,000 infantry and 2,000 tanks began their way towards major harbors. They would capture them and then land massive amounts of men to continue to the conquest of the Nordic states.

......

Imperial Directive No. 13

Operation Shining Walls

Major ports such as Narvik are to be captured immediately be opening fire with the battleships and immediately landing the men and armor. If the opening hours fail the operation might fall awry, but I doubt the Nordic nations have anything to put up for defense.

After the capture of the ports, mainly Narvik, supplies will begin to flow in and a further 1,500,000 men plus other military units will begin to arrive.

The battleships HES Madrid and HES Pamplona entered the Narkiv harbor with 10,000 men in assault boats heading towards the harbor. The two massive battleships opened up their 18" guns on the city firing shell after shell into the Nordic capital. Under this suppressive fire the 10,000 me hit the harbor and quickly killed all the guards, capturing the area in 10 minutes.

The rest of the men slowly began to land and the entire force went inland. The king's palance came in sight but as the soldier's arrived it became apparent that the king had fled.

In 30 minutes the city was surrendered by the mayor, who proved reluctant, but yet it had succeeded.

Sweeden and Finland are both protectorates of the USSNEP, we hope you do not attack, as the entire nations of the Warsaw Pact will counter.

Hitting from Stravanger the units there met up with the units which had recently captured Bergen. In a deep pincer movement the two units hit towards Oslo, sorrounding the city, and with it 5,000 enemy soldiers. It would be the start of the Battle for Oslo.

....

Battle for Oslo
After the creation of the kessel 2,000 Nordic infantry attempted to breakthrough towards Kotsas but a deep flanking move by 100 tanks forced them back towards Oslo. Outside artiller began to pound the city and the 5,000 Nordic sodliers began to counterattack with fierce resistance, in all directions.

The first two days the Macabean soldiers were hard put trying to keep the Nordics inside the kessel, and about 300 died during the fighting but on the third day, with the Nordic army weak, the kessel fell, and with it fell Oslo.
