The Government of The Allied States of CMGamer has today announced that a number of rebel groups in the northern CMGamer Islands have taken control of several, both major and minor, towns on these Islands. Some of these towns contain important Government buildings. Staff working in these buildings are thought to be under no threat, but it is unlikely that they will be able to flee the area.
The rebels, calling themselves the CMGamer Alliance, have sent the following message to the nations Government:
"The freedom fighters of the CMGamer Alliance and citizens in the Northern CMGamer Islands are unwilling to remain under power of the CMGamer Government. We do not feel like we are given enough power within Government to voice OUR opinions on how this land should be run. We plan to control this area until we have a stable army to protect it's 'borders', and then we plan to declare independence of the Islands. We do not care what sort of response is launched by the CMGamer Government, and we are prepared to fight off any aggressors. Government workers are not being harmed, but will not be released until the Government promises that it will not send armed forces into the Islands.

The hard-liners within the Government of The Allied States of CMGamer are proposing immediate military deployment into the Northern Islands in order to regain control over them, and then to hunt down and destroy pockets of CMGamer Alliance resistance. However, the nations President has decided against a 'rash' response.
"We, the leaders of The Allied States of CMGamer, are not, under any circumstances, going to allow a state of our nation to break away and declare independence. This state is, historically, part of CMGamer and will remain that way. We have advocated giving the leaders of the CMGamer Alliance time to back-down from their statements of this morning. They will have 24 rl hours in order to reconsider their positon, and peacefully allow members of the CMGamer Armed Forces to retake the Islands, and hand themselves over to the CMGamer authorities.
"In the event that this reconsideration is not forthcoming, I have deciced to deploy 10,000 combat forces, along with attack helicopters, to the northern coast of the CMGamer mainland. We have sea-faring transport on-route to the northern coast of CMGamer, in order to transport our combat troops to launch a swift attack on the rebels and their positons. We have put a further 15,000 troops on stand-by in case they are required.
"We hope and pray for a peaceful end to this apparant stand-off, but we are unwilling to negotiate with these rebels. Unless they stand down from their current position, they will be overthrown using force.

As the President said, CMGamer is preparing to launch a swift military attack. The motive of the rebels is thought to be to install a communist leadership in the area. This action will not be permitted.
