As the boat neared shore, the sun begun to rise. after 4 hours, the ship had docked at a small village on the western coast of timor. settlers dismouted from the ship and began to find places to put there tents until they could build houses. some signed up for the militia or railway project, and some worked out deals to buy apartments. by the time the sun had set, the village had became much busier. at 11:30, another ship arrived, carrying supplies for the new colonie.
