yeah its common to post military forces before the battle begins to help prevent godmodding.... so lets see with 50, 000 limit
10,000 reserve para troopers
20,00 reserve marine forces (10,000 of that is armored divisions with tanks etc)
air force with 3,000 fighter jets and 2,000 bombers (10,000 men)
10 battleships, 5 carriers(100 planes each), 15 cruisers, 10 frigates (10,000 men)
that brings me to 50,000...... i'll go easy on ya... i'm using all reserve forces... give them some training lol... its nice having 2 billion people

I will simply have 15,000 Irregulars armed with squad-based equipment. Plus 200 M2 Abrams MBTs, 100 M113M134 AA, and an assortment of small artillery. No aircraft. Landscape is mountains with surrounding jungle.

General Huston sat in his bunker, as did men all over the island, with a grin on his face. He allowed the first bombardment to proceed uncontested.

Rear Admiral Bullock and 4 star General Patrick Smith watch from the control center as the first waves of bombing raids go without any resistance. Smith orders to lauch the 2nd and 3rd waves of bombers along with an additional fighter wave to support the first assualt by sea. 5,000 marines with 5,000 armor head toward the coast as they prepare to hit the beach head. The remaining 5,000 marines and armor launch a standard attack over the land border into the jungles supported by the last wave of bombers and fighters. Rear Admiral Bullock smiles at the view screen as everything goes according to plan.
OOC: You are responsbile for telling the extent of the damage to your forces and the things I target... helps keep things fair etc.

Major General Huston Grinned as he sighted the enemy hitting the beaches, uncontested. Lowering his fieldglasses, he spoke a few words into the reciever of his radio. Seconds later men ran to uncover the arty from their thermo-shield camo covers then several thunderous explosions came from behind him, one after the other 155mm HE, Beehive, and RAP rounds went whistling over his head in way to the beaches. Less than 1 minute after the beginning bombardment of the Coast and Beaches, inland 20mm and .308 Minigun AA Defenses begin fireing a mix of AP, HP, UHP, FMJ, and Flak round into the skies above, drenching the air with lead. The country's land border was 2 mountains with a small valley in the middle, forcing the enemy's forces into a bottleneck. As they entered 60mm Mortars with airbust, HE, and shaped AP round began reigning down upon the Valley, The clatter of Machinegunfire could also be heard in the distance, fireing over the mountains at preset angles.

Reported Losses: 30 Dead, 12 wounded, 1 Mobile Comm destroyed, 1 damaged.

(1 tank per 1 person? Okay....)

ignore.. I double posted by mistake

General Smith lost his smile as he was informed that the tank advancement in the jungles had been slowed to a stand still because of the thickness of the jungle vegetation. He orders his men to hault the advance until they could knock down the trees with explosive charges and tank bombardments. He sighs as he is informed it would be an estimated week before a complete path could be made to the enemy's defenses in the mountains....

Meanwhile on the beachhead the more concentrated attack was going well. Within hours the first wave of armed forces had established a beachhead and troops started to pour in with an estimated 2 days before all divisions were to be in place for the secondary phase of the assualt. Rear Admiral Bullock and General Smith order the men to dig in as they prepare for a counter-attack by the enemy

Bombers continue to focus on coastal defences trying to force the enemy to retreat further inland while the bombers in the jungle front are finding it hard to impact the enemy where they are heavily fortified in the mountains.

Losses: 10 fighters, 7 bombers.... 50 men/tanks on the beach head...... 100 men/tanks on the jungle front

Major General Huston issued an order to all forces to halt fire and sit tight and stay on high alert EXCEPT for the 4 Arty detachments whom were shelling the beaches. He ordered them to fall back further inland and resume fire upon the beaches exclusively using RAP rounds (14.5 mile range, Rocket Assisted Projectile) to continue hitting the beaches and forest within 1 mile of the beach. He moved around 25 M134 AA cannons into position around the emplacents to protect from heavy air assaults.

2 days later
As the bombers continued to hit their targets and drive the enemy inland, Paratroop Commander Alfred Walts receives the order to land his forces (paratroops)behind the enemy lines at the beach head and attempt to cut them off from the rest of their forces in the jungle/mountain regions with a small force of 5,000 paratroopers whose targets were to captive the remaing communication relays and bridge heads and the key road junction leading deep inland to the major cities and industry. The marine divisions recieve their orders to launch a full scale attack to attempt to distract the enemy as the paratroopers fly towards their intended targets under cover of darkness. The remaining air forces concentrate on keeping the enemy forces in the mountains tied down to prevent them from interfering with the oncoming assualt.

Commander Walts grins as he thinks to himself, "Those poor fools will never know what hit them"

Major General Hustonn Looks upon his tactical map with grief, he was almost out of RAP rounds so he ordered his arty to pack up and rejoin the rest of the line (located about 20 miles from the border). With his 5,000 men in the mountains catching hell from the enemy fighters he Issued orders for 100 M2 tanks, and 50 M134 AA Platforms to move into the mountains to support their defense. The remaining MBTs and M134s retreated to the lines with anotehr 5,000 men to set up perimeter watch, but no definable defense line had been formed for some reason.
