Kanuckistan to Sell Off Reconditioned Tactical Nukes.

Kanuckistan

The Dominion of Kanuckistan has recently descovered that the fissionibles in a two-hundred seventy year old stockpile of 1.8 kiloton subnukes have sufficently degraded to the point that the weapons no longer meet the nation's strict 'clean nuke' policies.

Seeking to save the small fortune it would cost to despose of these weapons, government officals have instead decided to authorise the reconditioning and sell-off the 1750 warheads.

Price: $750'000 USD
Yeild: 1.8 thousand tons/TNT equivilent(around 1/10th the yeild of the nukes droped on Japan)
Mass: 237 kilos
Dimentions: 1x1.5m(cylindrical)
Role: Armoured Tactical Warhead

Notes:
-These weapons will not be sold to any nation less than 20 RL days old.

-Although these weapons no longer meet Kanuckistani clean-nuke guidelines, they are still amoung the cleanest nuclear weapons avalible(on average, it is estimated that background radiation at ground zero will only be 27% higher than normal levels after one month).

-The radioisotopes used in each warhead have been carefully catalouged, so that the minute trace material left can be matched with the warhead it came from, and who it was sold to.

-Delivery will be made via a small island 217 kilometers off the Kanuckistani coast; detonation codes will be supplied in sealed packages along with the weapons, as well as storage and transportation instructions. They should be good for another 75 years without maintaince(this inclused the 'voltsink' battery used to power the unit). The weapons are also completly hardened against EMP.

-A scuttling charge suffucent to destroy all components and make a really nasty radioactive mess is also included, to prevent reverse-engineering, and will only go off if you breach the third internal pressure seal(which would, at the very least, take a .50 cal armour pircing rifle round at close range, so the chance of an accident is negligible). The charge is also EMP-hardened and includes a mechanical backup detonator.

We would be willing to purchase all of the nuclear weapons for sale. Perhaps a lower price could be negotiated considering we'd be taking them all off your hands.

Is the Commonwealth of Valient allowed to make bids on this weapon?

Are you really in such a hurry to get your nation glassed?

We've decided to impose a 500-per-customer limit.

That'd be $375 million USD. You can pick them up on the aforementioned ile with payment; they'll be shipped out there once you have comfirmed the order.

Ok, that's 1003 reserved, with 747 still avalible.

Kanuckistan, we'd like to request a purchase of 80 of these warheads. The 60,000,000 has been wired to a central location, pending final transfer upon confirmation of our order. The freighters Lordiss and Caterra are enroute to pick up the order, escorts by a small contingent of destroyers to ensure that the warheads are not stolen by terrorists upon return to Terra.

Thank you.

Ancient and Holy Terra:

-Alright; the warheads and documentation will be turned over to your people once they've arrived and we have confrimation that the cash has been deposited into one of the Ministry of Trade's accounts.

However, in the future we would perfer to deal in cash; it's much more secure.
Ancient and Holy Terra
11-12-2003, 10:12
We understand, Kanuckistan, and will take into account your request for cash for our next meeting. The warheads have been picked up by the freighters, and are currently en route to Terra. They will within our fleet's security umbrella in less than 8 hours.

The Star Empire is very interested in buying the weapons of a far more advanced culture, especially the big ones. Would the honorable Kanuckistani delegate be willing to sell us a few, for us and the GDA?

OOC: These are old, tiny nukes, with combined yeild of less that four megatons for the entire stockpile. They are also being desposed of, as they'd no longer comply with our policies of clean, tactical-scale nuclear weapons, so we couldn't really deploy them anyway in their intended role.

Really, I'm not trying to make money, I'm getting rid of old weapons; I could sell them for $29.99 a dozen and still meet my aims.

IC:

The Eastern Bloc:

-Payment may be made at the aforementioned island off our coast, where your men will then be able to pick up the warheads and related documentation.

Thunderstraat:

-These aren't the big one, they're the really, really the small ones, and not very advanced in terms of space-tech(ooc: I try to RP my nation in such a way as to be about as compatible as possible with as many tech's as possible); they're relativly clean, tactical fission-based weapons suitible for precision strikes and terrestrial battlefield usage.

If you're still interested, you can still place an order, up to 500 units.

667 warheads are still avalible.

Kanuckistan, Indra Prime is interested in purchasing the rest of your stockpile off your hands. We will pay the full amount. We are beginning research into converting the cores of degrades nuclear weapons into defensive technology. We need as many nuclear cores as we can get our hands on. We have been authorized to make this purchase on behalf of the Senior Directorate of Indra Prime and of the Temporal Research Comission.

Dwai Grung:

-Confirmed; your people can pick them up onc we've confirmed payment transfer. Be aware that these are only the warheads; delivery systems not included. You'll have to get your own missiles.

Constipated Midgets:

-Why would we surrender to you? You are nothing to us.

Skibereen:

-Your order is confirmed; payment of $7.5 milion USD can be made at the aforementioned island off our coast, where your people can then take delivery of the warheads. What tactical specifications, exactly, is it that you desire?

Indra Prime:

-407 warheads remain avalible, however the weapons include an aforementioned scuttling charge that would prevent intact removal of the fissionible material. If you only wish to purchas the cores, however, we've yet to arm the charges on the unsold warheads, and can extract the raw cores for your usage. Price-per-unit remains the same, however; a total of $305.25 million USD.

(ooc: It's common practice to sell things you no longer need for extremely low prices. You make a bit of money off of the sale, and your disposal problem is over. For instance, the Department of Energy sold the Los Angeles SWAT Team an armored car for 1 dollar, because it was being replaced.)

IC:

Ancient Terra would merely like to confirm that the warheads arrived safely, and have been placed in a secure bunker in an unmentioned location. Our Navy commends Kanuckistan for the fast delivery of these weapons.)

That will do just fine. We are wiring $306 Million USD for the warheads. If you manage to get more of these, we will also buy those off of you.

Any nation looking to sell nuclear warheads, Indra Prime wants to take them off your hands. We are using them for research purposes in developing defensive technology. Any nation of suitable size and resources interested in assisting us TG Indra Prime and your assistance will be rewarded by gaining access to the technology once we are finished developing it.

Range of the warhead delivery system, speed, are the warheads airburst, impact or ground penetrating. Or is that option programmable in the guidance system. you know, the basics.
An envoy has been dispatched towards your Island.
With the 7.5 million. He should arrive in a day.
OOC: by a day I mena when ever it is convient for you to collect.

Skibereen:

-We have stated several times that we are only selling the warheads, not missiles or other delivery systems for them. The warhead's detonator can utalise a built-in timer, or be programed to accept commands from an addon, like an onboard guidance system(hardware compatibility and programming details are included in the documentation included with the warheads).
(OOC: If you're unaware, all this works via 'I say this' 'you say that'; otherwise, my guys are standing by on the aforementioned isle waiting for the cash so they can turn over the warheads)

Indra Prime:

-We currently have several tens of thousands of these weapons in stock or in production, however none are over fifty years old, so as things stand, it'll likly be another two centuries befor they will be of a similar for desposal(OOC: I use the RL day=NS year timeflow; that makes my nation three and a half centuries old :D )

Payment confirmed; your people may pick up the warheads any time now.

I'm afraid that you're both too young, and too late; sales were only to be made to nations of 20 RL days age and older, as stipulated in the opening post. The last of the warheads have also been either sold or reserved for sale.

That's it; none left.
