Dawi Grung set to renew ties with the Lyong Penninsula

It had been a month or so since the High King had re-introduced the region to the Dwarven Empire of Dawi Grung, but it had not come with the fanfare and attention that he would have liked. The recent incursions by rebel forces in Tord and the accursed Elgi had put the entire region on edge. The High King had sat idle for long enough. He currently had an ambassador, the ever-resourceful Arek Storm, in Spyr, but was lacking any real governmental contact with the other new governments in the region. He sent forth diplomats to the other countries in the region, and sent word to his ambassador in Spyr, that he wished to have a message relayed to all friendly leaders.

My fellow Lyongonian Leaders,

We of Dawi Grung, have recently come out of seclusion, wish to re-open diplomatic and economic ties with all those who wish to. Whether it be a simple exchange of ambassadors, to trade, to joint contruction/research projects, we would like to explore these possibilities. As well, we are currently a land-locked nation. In the interests of defending the penninsula, we wish to enter into debate for rights to build and maintain a naval base in a friendly country. Terms can be agreed upon by the individual parties involved.

Thank you again,
The High King of Dawi Grung

I am glad that you are reopeing your relations with the penninsula High King, and look forward to the no doubt profitable trade in the future between our two Kingdoms. In response to your request for a port you may use oustide your Kingdom, I am willing to grant you the use of a Port in Southern Tord. This port would not be considered Dawi Grung land, but would be allowed to construct and ship whatever resources it wished there, all projects being undertaken in this post would be known to myself, just a precaustion, I'm sure there will never any need for me to worry over matters concerning this port. Also, I expect both Tord and Dawi Grung will undertake many joint projects in this new port. An embassy is ready to receive your ambassador should you wish to send one, and a Tordian ambassador is ready to leave for Dawi Grung as well.

OOC: The Mekura-zoku(blind tribe), who live in the cave systems of northern North Yaman, believe that their underground city was build with the help of mountain spirits, sent by Yamaki-ti to guide them. This is why they refer to themselves as the Yamaki-zoku(tribe of Yamaki-ti). Once they hear of the re-emergence of the spirit helpers of Yamaki-ti they will certainly want to establish contact and trade(possible extention of the Underground?).

Also, the Wan-zoku's fear of these Elgi spirits, who are wandering with WMD(relatively to the weapons of the Wan-zoku) through North Yaman somewhere, will probably have a positive effect on relations with the Dawi Grung Kingdom.

The High King graciously accepts your offer of a port facility in Tord. We will inform you of all goings on at the establishment, you may keep a team there if you wish, for whatever purpose, and you will be free to use all the facilities as well. We will commence construction as soon as the go-ahead is given. You have an embassy waiting for you in Karak-Rhun, so an exchange of ambassadors is in order. We hope this is only the initial step in one of many joint projects on the penninsula

The Mekura-zoku(Blind tribe), who live in the caves and caverns of the Northern part of the lands of the Wan-zoku, have decided to reopen contact with the Kingdom of Dawi Grung after receiving news of its reemergence into the world. Faji Motari, leader of the Mekura-zoku(or Yamaki-zoku as they call themselves), would like to arrange a meeting between himself and a representative of the Dwarves, whom the Mekura-zoku believe to be helper spirits of the mountain god, Yamaki-ti.
