the Loss of a Leader(open)
Looking out through the window President Allenson looked out at the horizon and seen nothing but ocean, in the background he could hear the quiet roar of the planes engines. He found the sound rather relaxing.
Letting out a sigh he sat back in his chair, he was returning home from some country whose name he could barely pronounce. It was times like this the he wished it was like the old days. When Tappee had no contact with the outside world, but times where different now, and so was the job. It seemed to him that matters of state took up all his time. He couldn’t remember the last time that he been ho see his daughter, and the grand kids. A thought that troubled him greatly, with the loss of her husband, he knew that she needed him more then ever. Pressures of the job had even begun driving a wedge between him and his wife. However, as soon as he arrived home these problems would be addressed. Closing his eye’s he reclined in his seat in an attempt to get some rest, he could feel himself drift away.
In some unseen part of the plane wires that had from years of abuse, and exposure touched in just the right spot ignited a small flame.
Tom ‘Sidewinder’ Wilkel who was the planes pilot reached his arms out allowing them to stretch out, they had been on the air for nearly eight hours and had another four to go. He had been flying the Presidential Plane know as Eagle One for nearly four years now. Wilkel was an accomplished pilot who had served with the Air force for 16 years before transferring to the president’s detail. He had seen combat in both the Bison war as well as the Iaceo war; he was to stranger to flying in tight situations. As he reached behind his neck to rub some sore muscles when he saw one his indicator lights go on.
“Sam” he said to direct the attention of co-pilot to the light.
“I see it” responded Sam with a concerned look on his face. Sam reached over the intercom system and put out a general call to all the plans security personal. “We’ve got a light up in section 23-14 alpha 7. Could someone check out it.”
One of the security guards who had heard the call and was the closet to the section spoke into his transmitter. “Copy that, on my way.” He made his way around some twist and turns until he stopped in front of a steel door, his objective was on the other side. He reached out with his hand pulling the door open.
Since the door was sealed the small fire had used up most of the oxygen in the door. However, as the seal of the door was opened there was now and new supply for the fire to consume, all the ingredients for a disaster where now there.
The security guard was knocked to his feet as the fire surged at him.
Tom watched in horror as many more of the emergency indicators on his flight panel light up. Immediately he fell back on his training, as did all the other.
“This is Eagle One transmitting to the nest we’ve got fire on board, I repeat we’ve got a class two emergency. Starting emergency protocols.” With that he adjusted his heading towards the nearest safe landing zone.
The president was startled by one his security personal. He had just fallen into a deep sleep. Allenson tried to bring everything to focus, thing where moving so quickly around him.
“What’s going on?” he asked his confused state.
“Sir the plane has caught fire, we have to move you to secure location.” As the words left the mans mouth Allenson could that the room was filling with smoke. Soon that was not his only concern.
On the Right side of the plane there was a giant rumble. Allenson could fell himself getting rather light. Looking over at his desk he could see a number of items float away. They where losing altitude, and fast. He hit the ground hard as the plane again levelled off.
“Sir you must come with us” yelled some else.
Tom looked out of the cockpit at the left wing. The fire was have hit the fuel line, there wasn’t much of a wing left now. With the sudden lose of the right engine had caused the plan to lose power and speed causing it to fall. However, at a series of quick reactions Tom had been able to bring the plane back under control, but for how long.
“Nest this is Eagle One, we’ve lost our right engines, and most of wing, moving the President to the drop pod.” Every one knew that no matter what happened it was their job to make sure that the president survived. They a planned for an emergency of this nature, so an emergency drop pod had been installed, so the president could escape.
Members of the President Security team helped the President move through the plane and down into the lower part where the pod was located. By this point they could barely see through the thick smoke that now filled the cabin. “I’m not leaving my people” they could hear him yell, they ignored what he was saying and pushed him forward. Off in the distance they could hear yelling and screaming as others in the plane tried to fight the raging blaze. As they proceeded down the stairs the ground shuddered once again. Allenson reached for the railing as once again things begun to float. This time it lasted much longer then it did before until the pilot levelled the plane. Without warning it got really windy inside the plane, the cabin was no longer pressurized. Over top to howling could hear one his guards yell out to the others “We’ve lost pressure, we’ve got to evac the President”
Before he could realize what was happening he was down the stairs then thrown in side the drop pod. “I’m not going to leave you all behind” He yelled out. His words fell on deaf ears as his security team pushed him in, closed the door, and hit the ejected button.
Looking through the hatch he watch as the pod slipped out from under the plane and in to the open sky, from what he could see the plane was in rough shape, he took a moment to look out at the horizon, then at he ground to see how far up he was. Feeling his stomach sink he realized the severity the situation. With the two sudden drops of altitude they he dropped at a relatively low height, from his estimation due to the distance to the ground, and the speed he was dropping he would hit the water long before his parachute would open.
Quickly ho took his set in the pod seat and the up most haste, he secured himself in. No sooner had he done this than the world began tumbling around. Due to the speeds and vectors involved the pod begun skipping on the water like a rock thrown at the top of the water. Allensons body was thrown around like a rag doll.

that was a damn good post... id like to see how this goes along

The sound of typing and idle chatter could be heard in the commander centre, members of Tappee’s Intelligence service where busy trying to determine the status of Eagle One.
The room itself was rather dark. On the main wall where three large screens, they where each of them where 15X7 in width and height. They where receiving their image from projectors located on the other side of the room. Truth be told, it looked more like the mission control from space days. There were rows of computer terminals, and other electronic equipment. The room had named “The Central Core”
It was located nearly half a mile under ground. From here they could access the countless number of Tappee satellites as well as made contact with their field agents. From here they could see almost everything. “The Central Core” was a suiting name. For this was the spot where all the information came in, as well as out. The man was currently was guiding that information was Jon Anerton.
Anerton was co-chair to the Intelligence Tribunal, the group that ran Tappee’s intelligence Tribunal. In Tappee it was believed that information was power, so those who controlled the information controlled the power. With that being said the Intelligence Tribunal was the most powerful of all the institutions, more so then the army, even more then the President. However, the President was Tappee’s figure head, its leader, its voice, its very identity, something that no matter what had to be protected.
Anerton looked up at the board trying to analysis the situation; motion from behind him caught his attention. He turned to see an older woman walk up beside him. She was an older woman in her late fifties with greying hair. Anerton knew her appearance was deceiving; despite her frail look she was anything but. She was slim but at the same time in very good shape, more so then most women her age.
“Hello Susan, I was wondering when you would get here.” The tone of his voice did not change. Due to the serious nature of all this he had to remain professional despite his personal feelings
Her name was Susan Clrackson the Tribunal Chair, and Anerton’s boss, but more important she was also the President wife. She looked over at the boards, which were displaying large amounts of information. “Talk to me Anerton”
He could hear the concern in her voice. “Eagle one went down. About 20 minutes ago we received a distress call from Captain Wilkel saying that there was a fire on board, they had a type 2 emergency. Shortly after that we got another call say that they had lost engine power, and suffered severs wing damage.” He paused for a moment to allow the words to sink in “With amount of damage that had occurred Wilkel called for the pod drop. We have yet to receive any radio transmission from the pod, either it was damaged in the landing or..” Again he paused, but this time it was to find the right words. “Or it never left the plane”
Susan’s entire demeanour changed when she heard the news, she could fell the colour drain from her face “Are you telling me that Smith is dead?”
He knew that he had to choose his next words carefully; he didn’t want to raise any false hope. “Fortunately last radio contact put it near the Dauntless, were sending people out to look for survivors. If they did eject the pod then it going to get more difficult.” He reached down for the nearest keyboard and typed in some information. Whatever he did the main screen changed. They were a number of dots connected together by straight lines. “Each dot represents radio contact, each line is the path of the aircraft.”
Taking a moment Susan looked over everything “Rather sporadic aren’t they”
Anerton nodded in agreement “Yes, but with damage done to the air craft Wilkel had to make a number of course adjustments to maintain control.” He highlighted one of the dot “This is where they said that they would drop him. But if they did drop him he could been anywhere in this search area” On the main screen a grid appeared showing to possible search area.
Again Susan felt sick to her stomach “That huge” where the only words that she could get out of her mouth. For a moment she stood there in awe realizing that she would now have to face the very possibility that she may never see her husbands face ever again. Shaking her head she knew that she would have to focus at the task at hand. “Anerton I would like to personal go get my daughter, and bring back, Scott can handle it for a while. I’ve got to got meet with the Joint Chiefs” Anerton turned to go do as she asked. Susan knew that he would be at the Core before she could be. Reaching out she grabbed his arm. He turned to see what she wanted “You be back before me, please find him. We had fight before he left” Tears were now coming to her eye’s “I don’t want the last words that we spoke to each other to be ones of anger.”
Placing his hand on hers, he realized how hard this all must be on her. “Don’t worry if he’s out there I’ll find him, you have my word.” He turned and went on his way.
As he came too Allenson wondered if he was still alive. However, the pain caused when tried to move reminded rather quickly that he was. There was cold feeling that surrounded his body.
At first he thought that his spine had been injured, but he water hit him in the face he realized that it was much worse.
His crash landing had damaged the pod, and now it was taking on water. By this time the water level was now up to his neck, and climbing fast. Ignoring the pain from almost every joint he realised his harness freeing from the seat. It would not be lock until the pod would be completely underwater. Pulling the emergency lever the main hatch blew open, and water rushed in to fill the remaining space. Allenson swam with all his might to avoid being pulled down from as the pod sank. After a few tense moment his head broke the surface of the water.
Treading water he looked around for something to hold on to. Besides him, there was only one thing in the water, the hatch door. Swimming over he climbed up on it, with the hatch he could remain out of the water.
Taking a moment he considered his option. In his haste he had forgotten to grab any equipment from the pod, not the there was time. Now all that he had left was the door, and himself. That cut his option dramatically, he had none, all he could do now was wait. He had been in worse situation then this before, although at the moment he couldn’t think of any.
Oranges, yellows, and reds, cut the sky as the sun began to make its journey from behind the skyline.
Jade just sat there with back to the house watching the sunrise. However, she didn’t find much comfort in the view, and fact it caused her more pain. It had been just over a month since she lost her husband, something that she was still having a hard time dealing.
For her it seemed that is was a cruel world, it seemed whenever she had found peace that something would come along and destroy it.
Watching the sunrise brought back painful memories. When Cal and her had first married on the weekends they would both get up and watch the sun rise in each other’s arms. When they had their kids after sunrise they taken the children down to the beach, and enjoy each other’s company. Jade had given up everything for family life, it was the only thing that she wanted. For a time everything seemed good.
But like most things it wasn’t to last. An unexpected visit from Cal’s past ended everything that the couple had worked for.
Opening her hand she looked down at a gold ring. The rising sun caused to almost glow in her hand, for a moment it felt is if he was there with her. She remembered back when he had given her the ring. She had just got out of the hospital after her own brush with death. In stead of taking her home her father had brought her, at first she was confused, been then saw Cal standing there in the middle of the garden. Getting down one knee he asked her to marry him, it was one the most happiest moments of her life. The only others were the birth of her children. But all that was gone now, Cal was gone, and there would be no other children.
She spoke quietly under her breath so no others could hear. “I miss you so much” Closing her hand around the ring tears filled her eyes. Suddenly she became aware of presence to her left.
“Jon” she stood up wiping the Tears from her eyes “I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that you where coming.”
Anerton stood there for a moment not sure what to do, or say “No need to apologize, I heard, and I’m sorry he was a good man” This was awkward situation for both of them. They where both friends, at one time more then friends. But work drove them diffrenet ways, she had married he hadn’t. He could see the pain in her eyes, for a moment he considered not telling her. He didn’t want to cause her more pain.
Jade could see the look on his face. She wasn’t sure if he felt uncomfortable or embossed for walking in her. However, from the look on his face she could see that there was more to it. “What is Jon, something is wrong, isn’t it. Why else would you be here.”
Letting out a sigh he knew that he had to tell her, after all he never could hide anything from her. “Eagle One went down last night, we’re not sure if your father made it out.”
The news was too much her to take, first Cal, then now her father. Her knees felt weak.
As Jade began to fall towards the ground he reached out taking her into his arms. Slowly he lowered her to the ground, Jade buried her head in his chest a began crying uncontrollably.
Just keep on writing until theres a war, then ill join you.....
ooc: I very much doubt that there will be a war in this RP. However since it is open one never knows

Deck crews quickly cleared the deck as a transport craft known as a ‘frog hopper’ made its landing approach. Frog Hoppers are the backbone of Tappee’s navy. They are a fixed wing aircraft that was capable of vertical take off, and had a much further operational range the helicopters. The aircraft its self was long and had two sets of wing with powerful thrust engines attached at the ends. The first models had been painted green, and with their wings looking down at them they looked like giant frogs, and were quickly called ‘Frog Hoppers’ a name the stuck.
Watching from the bridge was Emily Dodalla. She was commanding Tappee’s main battle fleet from on board the THBS Dauntless, the most powerful ship in the entire fleet, as well as it flagship. Emily was one of the youngest Admirals in the fleet; some believed that it was due to her brother, Jon Anerton. A point that she knew was not valid, she had got this position long before her brother had got his position. In fact it was due to her actiosn the he had received his. Dodalla was one of the most decorated officers on the navy, she had even been asked to be a member of the joint chiefs. However, she enjoyed being in the thick of thing, and being on the Dauntless always made sure she was where the action was.
She looked over to see her second in command make his way over. “Report” she asked him.
The man took a moment to think things over. “We’ve found the crash site Ma’am. However, as of yet we haven’t found any survivors. Most of the airplane has sunk, but there is debris floating around.”
Taking a moment she though to herself. “As soon as everyone’s fuelled send them out and keep them searching, and maintain a perimeter until the salvage crew arrives. I want the entire search zone check, and then checked again.”
The man nodded then continued on his way.
Get up from her chair she walked over to the window, talking under her breath so no one could hear. “Damn Smith, how many times do I have to be there to save.” With the expectations of her ships the sea looked empty. If he was out there, he was alone.
The rolling tide caused the metal door to hit the rock then pulled it back only to have it hit the rock again. The resulting noise it created woke Allenson from his sleep. He had passed out long ago. Taking a moment he looked around him. His knuckles where white, from holding on the door for so long, even in his sleep. Over to his left he saw one of the most beautiful things that he had ever seen, white sand formed a long beach.
Knowing that this may be his only chance he slides off the door and into the water. He stood about waist deep in the water, slow he made his way on to the beach. Ignoring the pain that was now coming from all over his body he climbed out of the sea and on to the waiting shore. Stopping on the grass he lays down taking a moment, from here he was sure that if he fell asleep the tide would not pull him back out sea.
Even though he had just woke, his body was telling him that more rest was needed. Letting himself go his closed his eyes and drifted away, for now he knew that he would safe.
Anerton sat back and enjoyed the beauty of it all. If one where to sit down and take a close look at every thing, what was going here was extremely complex, but everyone knew their part. The core looked like hive, with everyone running around trying to be where he or she needed to be. However, from what appeared to be chaos came a symphony of collaboration and teamwork. He was truly amassed by it all.
He had been monitoring thing for almost an hour now, and was joined by familiar face. “Where you able to get my daughter Jon?” asked Susan.
He nodded in the direction of some couch in the corner of the room “She fell asleep shortly after we got here. I didn’t want to wake her unless we had something”
Susan looked to her right too see Jade sleeping, then turned her attention back to Anerton “Do we have anything yet?”
Looking up at the clock then back at her he just shook his head. “Emily and the battle fleet arrived on scene about 40 minutes ago and found the wreckage of the plane. Not much was left, most of the wreckage sank. She set up a perimeter until salvage crews can be brought in.” he glance back over at the clock. “They should be arriving in about an hour.”
This wasn’t the new she really wanted. “Did they find anyone?”
All Anerton could was let out a sigh and shake his head. He noticed that Susan wasn’t looking at him, but instead over at Jade. “As a precautionary measure I sent a security team to go watch the kids.”
Susan’s head snapped back over to Anerton. “You think this wasn’t a accident?” His statement caused her to worry more then what she was.
“I’m not going to make any assumptions, until we know the fact I’m not going to take any chances.” He paused looking over at Jade. “She’s been through a lot in the past light while.”
They where both looking over at Jade now. Jade looked so peaceful right now he though to himself “Susan can I ask you a personal question.” He waited for the nod in agreement. When he got the ok he proceeded “Why did you ask me to go get her?”
Susan turned and look him in the eye’s “Cause right now she needs a friend, more then ever.”
Sitting up slowly Allenson looked around. He had been asleep for awhile, night had now fallen. If was painful to move his head, but it wasn’t from sore muscles. Pulling back his sleeve he could see a clear visible line, while asleep he had become badly sunburn. It was just another thing that he could add to the list of things that had happened to today.
As he stood he realized the his muscle had become rather stiff. Taking a moment he did a series of stretches, an action that actually made him feel better.
He knew that he would have to come up with some kind of plan, but for the moment wasn’t sure what that plan would be. However, a rumble in his stomach, and the dry feeling in his mouth reminded him that his basic needs where a priority.
Glancing up at tree he could see some coconuts hanging there, but they where just beyond his reach. Looking up and down the shore he grabbed a fair sized rock, throwing it a number of time until the coconut fell to the earth. Again using the rock he used it to break it open. The contents filled all he needs, for the moment.
There wasn’t much here, just a few tree’s, and some open grass. Located behind the tree was a near vertical rock edge, one the he didn’t really want to climb. So with no visible places to shelter he decided to move on. But before he did, Allenson arranged a number of tree branches that said help, and an arrow indicating the direction that he would be traveling.
Keeping one the branches as a walking stick he begun his journey.
Night had fallen, and the only light the salvage crews had where the halogen lights coming from their ship. With the up most patients they catalogued every piece of wreckage that they pulled from the water, and plotted it’s position compared to all the wreckage, the small thing could give them the details to what occurred on the plane.
This proved to be a rather dangerous job due to all the chemical that now filled the water. They needed answers, and they needed them fast, so it had been determined to be an acceptable risk.
From her Bridge Dodalla watched the evening activities with interest. Her second in command joined her at her side. “The dive teams reported in” Dodalla just nodded tell him to continue. “So far they’ve pulled 27 bodies out of the water, none of them have been identified as the President. Also they where able to get a look at under the plane, it would appear that the pod had been dropped. Once the surface material has been cleared, they will begin efforts to bring up the fuselage.”
Let out sigh he knew what his report meant. “Very well, increase the search grid. The pod may have been damaged in the crash.” She didn’t want to face they fact that it may have sank, maybe with Allenson still trapped inside. As the commander walk away to carry out her order she walked over to the comm. Officer. “Put me through to command, I’m going to be in my personal chambers.”
The young woman looked up at her. “Yes Ma’am

The crew of the Roycelandian Maritime Air Service Sunderland Flying Boat gazed idly out over the waters stretching below them as they flew over the seas on a routine reconnaisance and training flight.
The Navigator's eyes spotted the cluster of ships below.
Checking his Atlas of Flags, he identified the ships as being of Tappee origin. They appeared to be salvaging something- a plane, maybe...
He communicated this to the pilot and the radio operator, and a message was broadcast over the radio.
"Unidentified Tappee Ships, this is Dolphin One of the Roycelandian Imperial Maritime Air Service. We are overflying the area on a reconnaisance mission and see that you appear to be having some sort of difficulties. Do you require any assistance? Over..."
Mean while halfway across the world, deep underground.
Susan sat down on the couch beside her daughter who was still asleep. She reached out and begun gently rubbing Jade’s head. An action that caused Jade to wake up.
Sitting up Jade looked around, she was still a bit groggy. Looking over she saw her mother sitting beside her. Jade reached over and gave her mom a big hug. “Have they found him yet.?”
Susan just held her daughter in her arms. “No word yet” The two just sat there glad to be in each other company. “There still looking”
Jon walked in the room only to see the two sharing a personal moment. “Sorry to interrupt, But I think that you may want to hear this.” A worried looked came on to both women’s faces. They followed Jon in to the Core. “We just received this radio transmission from the Dauntless.” He flicked a switch bring the message up on the speakers.
"Unidentified Tappee Ships, this is Dolphin One of the Roycelandian Imperial Maritime Air Service. We are overflying the area on a reconnaisance mission and see that you appear to be having some sort of difficulties. Do you require any assistance? Over..."
Susan thought to her self for a moment, due to the miracles of technology she could talk to them live. She didn’t want to bring outsiders in, but due to the limit resource they had in the area, they could use the help.
“Copy that Roycelandian Imperial Maritime Air Service” she yelled out. “This is Acting President Susan Clrackson of Tappee. We’ve had an Plane go down in the area. We could use any assistance that you could provide in searching for survivors.” She paused and waited for their responce

"Roger that, AP Clarlkson. We will begin standard Search & Rescue procedure, expanding out to a radius of 10 kilometres. If we find anything, we'll let you know. Anything else we can do to help, just let us know. Dolphin One, Over and out."
The huge flying boat banked to port and activated its SONAR, RADAR, and Thermographic Imaging systems to see what it could find.
"Well, lads, this will be a lot more interesting that watching Whale Migration patterns, I daresay..."
A knock on the door caused Dodalla to sit up quickly in bed, she had attempted to get some sleep. Looking over at the clock she realized that she had only got about 40 minutes.
“Yes” she asked out loud.
“Admiral, you presence has been requested at the bridge” relayed a voice on the other side of the door.
“Very well” she answered back.
Sometime later she walked on to the bridge buttoning up the last buttons on her shirt. She recognized the man standing there waiting for her. He was Commander Carl Rodger with the Navy Engineering Corp, he was the one responsible for overseeing the salvage effort.
“What can I do for you Commander” she asked.
He nodded to a table located on the side of the room. Dodalla looked over to see a giant orange box, immediately she recognized what it was.
“Divers pulled it out of the water about 20 minutes ago, thought that you would like to know.”
“Thanks” she looked over at her COM officer. “Com upload the data to Command ASAP”
She could only prey that the information that was inside the box would provide the information that they needed.
Susan just stared blankly at the three main screens and the information that scrolled across them. Looking down in to the control centre she could see Jade feverously working at a computer terminal seeing if they had missed anything.
Anerton came up beside her there was a concerned look on his face. “Bad news” he said.
Her heart skipped a beat. Anerton realized that he had startled her “Sorry, it has nothing to do with Smith.”
Susan let out a sigh of relief. However, now she concerned “What is it?” she inquired
Looking around her made sure that they were out of hearing distance. “Project Night Owl.” He paused to find the right words “There have been unforeseen consequences”
“What kind of..” Before she had the chance Jade came running up the stairs, causing Susan and Anerton to end their conversation, they would continue it later.
Jade was bit out of breath from all her excitement “The Dauntless has just upload the data from the black box.” Going over to the nearest keyboard she begun typing in some information. The main screens change according to her input. “From the data that we received they did indeed drop the pod. However, if the data was correct they released at 240 feet.”
Jon joined her at the keyboard, running this new information through his head “If that is correct then there would be no way that his chute would open before he hit the water.”
Jade nodded “That way I think that we have received a radio signal from the pod yet.” She looked over at her mother “With the speeds involved when the pod hit the water it would have been like throwing a rock on a pound. It would skip across the water. The impact must have damaged the pod.”
Jon nodded in agreement. “But there are also are radio transmitter on the life preservers in the pod, why haven’t we received any thing from them.”
Again Jade looked at her mother then back at Anerton. He demeanour changed “I think that the pod sank from the damage it took in the crash.” She Jade had to face the possibility that he father sank with it “I going to assume that it went down so fast that my father had to evacuated before he went down with it. He could have used the door to stay afloat.” She typed some information in the keyboard. “Using a computer program based on the information from the black box, as well as water current information I’ve come up with a smaller search area then the one that we have now.” On the main screen where two circles, one inside the other. “The smaller one is where we could expect to find the pod, the other one is where we could expect to find him if he’s still afloat.” She explained.
Susan thought for a moment. “It still a lot of area to cover” she looked over at Anerton “Send the word to our people about the new search grid. Also contact dolphin one, and tell them what we got.”

"You've found the black box? We copy that. Give us a new search grid, and we'll do our best to dig something up. Dolphin One over and out..."
The pilot closed the channel.
"You know lads, they must have something pretty funky going on down there... Keep an ear on all their channels and see what we can come up with. The Defence Bureau may be interested..."
OOC: I've been rather busy the past few days puting 12-13 hour days at work, but I'll have a post up soon. :D
Alleson had spent most of day walking, stopping for the occasional break, and to carve some markings into trees. As he round the last corner he saw an all familiar sight, the Words HELP with an arrow pointing in a direction where written in branches. He let out sigh when he had to face the real fact that he was on an island.
Staring at the words that he had placed there he took a moment. It would take him some time until he got to a more inhabitable part of the island, and night was quickly coming. Taking a moment to collect his thoughts, he decided that he would stay here for the night, and make a camp. There would be enough materials here make a small shelter, and a campfire, but come morning he would have to move on.
Spending the next hour trying to remember his military survival training he made a small shelter, and an even smaller fire. In his boredom he carved his name in to the rock, in off chance that he didn’t make it off the island, after it was a rather big ocean, with a lot of uncharted islands. Looking out at the ocean he enjoyed his first chance to relax in the last few days. The sun was setting, the sky was covered in brilliant red, yellows and oranges, He could remember the last time that he just sat there and enjoyed a sunset, at least one good thing had come out this day.
However, as he looked out he saw something moving against the horizon, looking more closely he could see five dark specs moving towards him. His face lit up with joy as he realized that they were a group of helicopters.
Breaking of collecting up the broken braches, he threw them on the fire. Originally he planned to ration the wood for the night, but could pass up the opportunity to be rescued. It wasn’t long until the fire had spread to the shelter, it was blazing nearly uncontrollably, but Allenson could careless, the Helicopters had adjust their heading, and were now headed straight for him.
Captain Frosel allowed himself a yawn. His crew and him had been flying their TSAR-124 for and 13 hours now. They where taking part in the search and rescue of president Allenson. Night had fallen, and they could no longer relay on visual, and where now using their Infra Red scanners. The IR scan could detect the increase in temperature from the human body in the water. But still after 13 hour they still hadn’t found anything. Looking down at the the Fuel gage Frosel was thinking about heading home when he heard one of the IR tech come on the intercom system.
“Captain I’ve go a huge heat reading from an Island bearing 123-34, looks like we may have had a fire down there”
“Copy that” Respond Frosel. He adjusted his heading to bring them over the island. As they passed overhead Frosel could see an orange ring through the darkness, but it had almost burned its self out. He decided that it was worth calling it in.
“This TSAR-124 possible contact at bearing 123-34.” He wanted to take another pass but knew that he had to return the Ithica for refuelling. However, their job here was done. It was up to the ground teams to head in and investigate.
Susan and Jade were over in the other room talking, Jon thought they were talking about something personal, so he didn’t want to interrupt them.
Looking up at the main screen the words where becoming blurry, he had been staring at the thing for almost two days now. Jon couldn’t actually remember the last time that he had gotten sleep, but all it was almost over now. There had been cheering in the room when word came in about the fire, everyone knew that it was Smith. Ground team had landed about 20 minutes ago it was a matter of time until they saw video footage of the President stepping off a froghopper and on to the deck of the Dauntless.
Anerton could almost picture it in his mind, it would be much like the one he did almost seven years ago, after the victory against Iaceo. However, his moment of nostalgia was interrupt by a tap on the shoulder. Confused Jon looked behind him to see a man holding a phone.
The man wasted no time. “Mr Anerton, there is a secure call to you from the Dauntless. Admiral Dodalla Sir, she said its urgent.” He handed Jon the phone and walked away.
Jade looked away from he mother as Anerton entered the room. She could feel he heart skip a beat, as she recognized the look on his face, it was the same look that he had when he had given her the news about her father.
“What’s wrong Jon”
He took a moment to find the words. “I just spook with Emily.” Again he paused “The ground team has just reported in.” He directed his attention to Susan. “Smith wasn’t there, but by all indication he was. And we know that the Roycelandian don't have him.”
Susan was confused “But if he’s not there, then how did they know he was there.”
He hands her a piece of paper. “They found this message carved on the rock”
Reading over the paper he eye’s feel with tear, she fight to maintain control. Handing the note over to Jade she looks to Jon “Then where is my husband?”
Jade now take her time to read over the note, it reads;
THIS MESSAGE IS TO MY AND DAUGHTER.
IF YOU ARE READING THIS, THEN IT MEANS THAT I WAS UNABLE TO GIVE TO IN PERSON, IT MEANS THAT I’M NO LONGER WITH YOU. I’M SORRY.
JADE I’M SORRY THAT I COULD NEVER BE THE FATHER THAT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN. THERE ARE NOT MANY THINGS THAT I REGRET IN LIVE, BUT NOT BEING THERE FOR YOUR CHILDHOOD IS ONE THEM. IT SEEMED THAT NO MATTER WHEN YOU NEED ME, I WAS NEVER THERE FOR YOU. I ALWAYS EXPECT MORE OUT OF YOU THEN WHAT I KNEW YOU COULD DO. HOWEVER, KNOW THIS, I WAS ALWAYS PROUD OF YOU AND THE THINGS YOU DID. YOU WERE ON OF THE THINGS THAT BROUGH JOY TO MY LIFE.
SUSAN I KNOW THAT THE LAST WORDS THAT WE SPOKE WERE THOSE OF ANGER, ANOTHER THING THAT I REGRET. I ALWAYS LOVED, AND NEVER MEANT TO HURT YOU. I WILL ALWAYS LOVED YOU AND JADE.
SMITH ALLENSON.
Crumpling out the paper she stands up and makes her way to the door.
“Where are you going?” she could hear her mother ask.
She stops, but doesn’t turn and face her mother “I’m going back out in the field, I’ve got contacts still, I’m going to go find dad.” There was a passion in her voice. She wasn’t to sit by and loose another loved one, not again.

Jon turned and chased after Jade, she was moving so fast down the hall. “Jade wait” he yelled out to her. However, his words fell on deaf ears.
There was no way that he could catch her at this point. Looking further down that hall he could see that she was almost at a security checkpoint. “Guards don’t let her pass”. The guards armed with guns stepped in front of Jade blocking her path.
Jade was forced to wait until Anerton was able to catch up. “Stand down” he said to the guards. “I’m not letting go out there alone” he said as Jade turned to face him.
“I don’t need your help” and she turned to go on her way.
Anerton reached out grabbed her arm. “Then your not leaving this building. Your going to need help”
“Let go of me, I can take care of myself” Anerton could hear the anger in her voice.
“Do you want your children to grow up without any parents” his words caused her to pause “You and I both know what it is like to grow up with any parents, I doubt very much that you want your kids to go through the same things that we did.”
Jade took a moment to think to herself for a moment. “alright, you can come then, but don’t get in my way.”
Anerton nodded in agreement “It will be just like the old days” he said with a bit of smile.
Truth be know Jade was kinda of looking forward to work with Jon again.
It didn’t take long until the two where out of the building, and on their way. Weaving in and out traffic they where out of the city within a half an hour. “Where are we going?” asked Jon.
“My place, I’ve got to grab something from the house”
About an hour they pulled up at the house. The house itself was the stereotypical home that you see in the moves. Huge front deck, a giant garden, located on the beach. It was the prefect place to raise a family. They where in a hurry, Jade parked the car, and started to run toward the house. Looking up she saw a man standing on the porch, she slipped a bit trying to come to a stop. Breathless she stood there in awe at the sight before.
It was like something from a dream. After Cal’s death she had hoped against hope that something like this would happen. Each time she had dismissed it as a fantasy, if everything that had happened over the past few days was a dream, then the sight before her caused her not to want to wake up. She didn’t know what to say or do.
Jon on the other hand was more of a critic then Jade was, he was always looking for the angle. Reaching for his gun he brought it to bear on the man standing in front of him.
“Make any sudden movements and you die. Now who are you?” He yelled out.
Smith Allenson woke to find the rooming moving rapidly around him. Had there been anything is his stomach he probably would threw up. Closing his eye he attempt to get his bearings, when the dizziness subsided he took a moment to look over his surroundings.
His new home was a 5X9 cell. The room was dimly lit, the wall were a pale grey, and large steel metal door at one end. Taking a moment he tried to asses the situation. There were a number of cracks in the walls, which told him the room was quite old, and much humidity air. His conclusion was that he was located in an underground bunker somewhere. Given whom his captures where he didn’t doubt it very much that assumption.
He began to wonder how much time had passed since his capture on the island. When he had seen the helicopter coming in he was almost euphoric, and mood that changed when as they got closer their origin could be determined. Before he had time to take cover they were on top of him, he had managed to subdue a number of attackers, but was over come due to shear numbers. During the struggle someone had managed to hit him in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. From the feeling in his stomach he knew that they had drugged him, which made it had for him to determine how long he had been out for. All he could hope for was that someone friendly had came across the island after they left, he had left a number of markings to tell people that he was there.
Despite all that happened all he wanted to due was rest, he had been in this situation before, and in the coming days he would need his strength. Laying down in a corned he again closed his eye in an attempt to get some sleep. It wasn’t like there was much else to do anyways, all he could do now was wait.
After what seemed like an eternity there was a nock on the door, Allenson sat up from his position quickly getting to his feet. His mind was racing of all the possible scenarios of what was coming to great him. His first thought was escape, but this was an idealist option, his options were limited. Even if he was able to get past the guards, he didn’t know the terrain, he might unknowingly run into a dead end, for the moment they want him alive, a fact that he wanted to keep for the moment. An older man that was close to the same age as him entered the room escorted by a number of guards. Even though the two men had never meet Allenson recognized him, Allenson must have read the intelligence dossier on him at least a dozen time,
“Heskel” he said coldly “I was beginning to wonder if you would the bravery to come down to meet face to face” The two men had a long history, fill with much violence.
The man standing across from Allenson was General Carl Heskel, director of Iaceo Special operations. However, General wasn’t really the correct term. Heskel had some military service, but had left to pursue a life as a mercenary. A job that he had done quite well, after the formation of Iaceo, Heskel had got exclusive right to all contracts by the president Latitio Iaceo. He had established quite a name for himself until Latitio was overthrown by Allenson and Tappee military forces, and for a time was loyal to Tappee, for a large fee. However, like most mercenaries money was the only thing that mattered, so when Prime Minster Kao had offered him more money to betray Tappee he had taken it. Heskel first assignment was the assassination of one Jade Allenson, Smith one and only daughter, an operation that had come extremely close to succeeding. Even though the operation had failed he had proven his worth to Kao, and once again got exclusive rights to all contract. Several years later Heskel got the chance again to kill Jade, this time his team didn’t miss.
“Sorry to hear about you daughter” Was Heskels response. Everybody had known that he was responsible for the car bomb, but due to the political situation that existed at the time there was nothing the neither Tappee, nor Allenson could do. A direct attack from either party could have lead to a world war.
Iaceo was a member of the GDODAD, and Tappee was a member of the LAGD. Both alliance hated each other. If the two countries went to war, then there was a risk that their allies might be pulled into the conflict. Heskel knew that Allenson would never let this happen. Heskel knew Allenson as well as Allenson knew him, and Allenson was the type to avoid war at any cost, his daughters life was small price to pay to save millions more.
For a moment there was an awkward silence between the two. For Allenson knew the truth, his daughter’s assassination had been giant façade. The team that had been responsible for the assassination was actually a Tappee intelligence team. The entire incident had been designed to get a Tappee intelligence team inside Heskel’s operation. His daughter was quite safe, a fact that he wanted to through into Heskel face. However, to do so would put the lives of the team at risk, as well as, a possible rescue attempt. Allenson would have to choose his word wisely.
“You didn’t think that I couldn’t see that I was your handy work, that was responsible for my daughters handy work” For the moment his best option was to play along with the assassination. In order to get through he would have to keep his cool.
Heskel thought to him self for a moment. “Yeah I though that that you knew, kind of always wondered, now I know.” There was slight pause in the conversation “Anyway, I just wanted to come down a say hello. We have never really been properly introduced, although I did have the chance to meet your daughter. But anyway, I’m sure that we will have plenty of opportunity to talk later” Heskel smiled then made his way out the door, his guards trailing after him.
Smith wanted to do nothing more then punch a hole in the wall. Thinking about for a moment he realized the futility of such a gesture, the walls were solid concrete; all he would do was hurt his hand. He would have to remain in tiptop shape for the coming days.
Say... this is pretty sweet. I'll watch for an opening to join in :D
ooc: I'll give you an opening

Susan sat in her office looking out at all the commotion that was going in the core. Things were quickly spinning out of control, first her husband, and now in the situation in Candina, and night owl. In the past 48 hours things had gone bad to worse, and were not getting in better. It seemed that these things would always happen when Smith was away. For the first time in along time she felt helpless, and there was not a thing that she could do about it.
Closing her eyes all she wanted to do was go asleep; the last few days were starting to catch up on her. A million thing were running through her mind, there war more going here then what she knew, but wasn’t sure how they were all connect, or even if they were connected. All she could do now was to wait for all the field agents to report in.
A thought crossed her mind, a dangerous one, but an extra option none the less. She looked down and the forgien affairs team. "I need you do something for me." The group looked up her suprised that she was even talking to them "I want to to sent our word to some of allies, tell them that we a sever situation here and that we need some assistance. Have them send an intelligence representive to meet with me ASAP." It was unheard of for Tappee to ask for out side help, expesically when it regard security matters such as this. However, Susan felt that she had no choice, all she wanted to do was get her husband back.
There was a giant smile on Heskel Face. “Now President, You and Arnold here are going to have a little chat. I’m sure that there are some things in your head that some countries are willing to pay a lot of money for.” Heskel nodded towards some guards. On his commend the guards reached out and restrained Allenson “Besides Smith, I hope you don’t mind me calling you your first name. I really think that my employer will really enjoy watching you suffer.” Again Heskel nodded this time the guards pulled him out of the room and down the Hallway
Coffee was the only thing that was keeping Susan awake at this point in time, and lots of it. She glanced at the main view screen only to find that by this point every thing was starting to blend together. She would have to go get some rest soon, but didn’t want too. She felt that if she left then she would be abandoning him, and hope.
Her expectation of find a solution was unrealistic and knew it. However, one the intelligence agent interrupted her train of thought. “Ma’am we have a priority zero message coming in for you.”
She glanced over at him coming out of her trance “Very well put it through to my view screen. With in moments and image appeared on her personal view screen.
One the screen was a young man in about his mid to late 20’s, the image was a bit fuzzy, but not to bad. the man give Susan a quick salute “This is special agent Travis Sampson, observation Serpent”
Susan Quickly interrupted him “I know who you are Agent Sampson” the stress of the day were beginning to show “What so important?”
Agent Sampson thought to himself for a moment then continued “Approximately seven hour General Heskel of Iaceo landed near at one his many bunkers, he was accompanied by a prisoner. 40 min ago we positively identified the prisoner as President Smith Allenson. A number of our agents have already infiltrated the bunker. I’m send you the coordinated to the bunker, and await further instruction”
The news caused Susan to wake up almost immediately “Well done Agent, I’ll contact you soon” Jumping to feet she ran to make preparations.
