DATELINE: PORT ROYAL
The Space Age has taken the next step in Roycelandia today with the revelation that Imperial Scientists have created an Orbital Weapons platform.
Codenamed "The Jupiter Project", little is being publicy revealed besides the fact that the weapon is some sort of orbital cannon and utilises a form of radioactive ammunition.
"Nuclear Weapons are great fun" Commander Jack Sword explained to 'Good Morning Palm Islands' earlier today "But they're a bit messy and not very popular in the international scene. They also have the tendency to lay waste to far too many useful resources, cities, and innocent people. This new development will allow us to pinpoint our strikes with maximum damage and efficiently, and provide an even better way to *BEEP* up our enemies."
Asked if they planned to deploy the weapon the Civil War currently raging in The African Commonwealth, Commander Sword replied "No, not at this stage. There are many factors to take into account, all the ins, all the outs. Furthermore, I am informed that new *BEEP* has come to light regarding the conflict in the AC, but since you aren't privy to all the new *BEEP*, I'm really not at liberty to say any more at this time. Suffice it to say that deploying the Jupiter Project in a civil war that has yet to seriously threaten the security of either Palm Islands or our allies overseas would be unwise and probably come back to bite us in the ass at some point the future, in the long run."
On a different note, all African Commonwealth Refugees are reminded that their Refugee Visas are up for renewal and prompt renewal of their visas will save many hassles in the long run.
"It's just a couple of forms and an interview with some guys in trenchcoats and sunglasses. It won't cost anything and will only take a little while." Foreign Minister Sarah Foxworth said last night.
No reason has been given for the sudden and coincidental mass renewal of all AC Refugee Visas, but a Government Spokesperson was quoted as saying "We could tell you, but then we'd have to kill you."
