There are ships from two new classes available for sale to the general public as of today.
These classes are both currently under construction by the naval yards of all nations of CLAN FREEDOM.

The two classes are the new "Vadim" class of submarine cruisers which are armed to the same standard as a surface cruiser with subsurface and all other normal submarine capabilitys.

The other class is the "Revere" classs of hover-corvettes. These are Hovercraft specially modified to be able to carry the standard armaments of a missile destroyer and also to transport two "sea king" ASW equipped helicopters.

The Vadim class costs £20million per craft and the Revere class costs £10.4million per craft.

(ooc: Yeah, not to mention that unless one pound is equivalent to 50 dollars, these ships are way underpriced. Additionally, there's no reason for a submarine to have half of the systems that are aboard a cruiser, as the whole purpose of submarines is to stay beneath the surface, popping out of the depths to occasionally launch a torpedo, but otherwise remaining hidden. It's very hard to stay off of sonar when you're lighting up an AEGIS system, pumping off cruise missiles, and generally doing noisy cruiser-like things. :D)

so who cares. systems dont have to be on all the time.
anyway, if you get torpedoed by something that then surfaces, sticks on its aegis and then starts pumping missiles into you, you wont find it fun.

aegis would only be used on the surface after the first torpedo strike.
