The Imperialistic Coalition of Nations (ICON) is now recruiting. We are an organization devoted to the policy of extending a nation's authority by territorial acquisition or by the establishment of economic and political hegemony over other nations, and defense of alliance members. Wanna annex that puny nation to your north? We'll defend you from the do-gooders.

To join ICON you must meet the following criteria:

1. Over 500 million population.
2. If your population is below 500 million and you wish to join, you can request to have your nation reviewed for Junior membership. To do this either post here or telegram me or Belem.
3. Your civil rights can not be greater then very good
4. Your political freedoms can not be greater then average.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A CLEAN ROLEPLAY HISTORY. YOUR POSTS WILL BE REVIEWED.

Allow me to express the thanks of the people of Gothenburg-Franc to all the nations in ICON, and especially to the most powerful nation of Fyreheart, which has succesfuy lobbied for our own. We promise not to disspoint you. Our population, as you might expect, grows stonger daily, and the compulsory military service program will take full advantage of this. We are gearing towards war already. By the time we reach the 15 million mark, which will be later today coincidentaly, Our armed forces will be a solid, 500,000. We will hold here, as the population grows, we should be able to call upon an additional 500,000 conscripts, supposing that our popluace will accept the draft laws with a minimum of resistance. For now, we must rely on our small, under-tech, 250,000 man Field Army of Gothenburg-Franc for some time. These men are at your disposal, leaders of Fyreheart. OCC: Thank you for the compliments. This is actually my first experiance doing anything remotely like this. I tried to find a serious and interesting game. Your post seemed to be the best place to start. So far, I am not dissapointed. I normally enjoy games dealing with national and military matters, RPG seemed to be the next logical step. If I ever slip up and commit an amatuer mistake, just tell me and I won't let it happen again. Thanks for allowing me to join and thanks for the compliments.

I would like to apply for membership in this Alliance. I believe my nation fits all qualifications for membership.

I offer many things such as; troops more than willing to die for their nation and it's aliiances, a strong Arms Manufacturing nation, genetically mutated animals trained for 'smart' fighting and many little goodies.

'smart fighting' - Animals are trained and specifically mutated for the destruction of a single type of animal/person.

The honorable nation of Crownguard would be sincerely interested in this endeavour. If accepted, we promise to pledge our full military might towards a common defense (and offense as it were). n addition, our considerable economic powerhouse will be glad to provide favorable trade relations to all member nations. Finally, you will have the solid backing of an ally willing to conduct negotiations on our collective behalf, or for any member nation as a mediator in need.

We find little merits of the sham of "democracy" in nations. How can the people be trusted to run an efficient and logical government? It is absurd to create a system where the masses can be influenced easily by a powerful or charismatic leader. Also absurd is the idea of people not being rewarded fairly for their endeavours. We will not tolerate sloth and a "welfare state". Everyone is provided a job to do, a benefit to help al of us thrive. We feel that the government must take a firm and guiding hand towards the masses, to teach and to lead them to their benefit and our own. We hold this policy towards expansion, though we have only benevolent interests in mind. At any rate, we feel we meet these qualifications, should you so accept us.

P.S. On a side note, the nation of Crownguard is fully willing to offer a hand to its fellow nation, Gothenburg-Franc in any matter (This includes OOC). We feel the encouragement of new imperial nations should be applauded.

The Star Empire of Thunderstraat would be happy to join this or any imperialist organization, as some of you may have seen in Valinon's League of Gentlemen. Our comparitively small population belies our sheer military might, and though we are in several entangling alliances, it would be the mork of a moment to sever those.

IC: The Gulf States has an excellent track record of being imperialistic. Currently, we control 1/5th of the RL Americas. Our territories include 4/5ths of Canada, all of Brazil, Venezuela, and a few more nations. We always seek to expand our dominance in the Western Hemisphere. Which means everyone else gets to keep to Europe, Asia, and Africa.

The nation of Taka would like to point the members of this alliance towards the League of Imperialistic Gentlemen (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=82480&start=0) both as a possible place to recruit and to kick back and relax, think of it as the last old boys club. We would be happy to exchange fossil fuels in exchange for this. Our railways, and limited air transport are just not enough to transport our willing soldiers to conflicts worlds away. We thank you for the offer of permantent air-transports. Our nation shall surley benefit from them. As far as opening joint embassies in each other's respective counties, I give the full go ahead. If you would like to market goods, into our economy I also approve. I would simply ask you to refrain from pushing goods that are too modern or revolutionary into my citizens lifestyle. I feel that the cultural integrity of my people must be preserved along with modernization. If you would like to market, medicines, fuels, and or chemicals, this is an area in which we lack.
