Today to cheers of abuse by many, The reformed Exetonian Government cancled all elections and assumed complete control of the country. The Peoples of Exeter are in uproar over the mass execution of the Cornish Liberal party and all members families. This act was in retaliation to the murder of Robert Powell and The External Affairs Minister. Gregor had nothing to say except that The trial was complete and the murderes brought to a swift justice. There have been many riots accross the country with millions lying dead and wounded. The Government, though it has declared total control is under prssure to take swift action. If the rioting does not stop soon, the Government will be forced to use drastic mesures!

Dissidents have declared their intentions to storm Parliment and have taken back the streets of Truro this evening. The military is on the retreat from the area as this Broadcast goes out. The Government is holding an emergency meeting to discuss the state of the nation. Marshal law is still in effect though more and more civilians take to the streets bearing arms in an uprising of epic proportion. 1/4 of the army has gone over to the dissidents side. It looks like nearly 120million poorlyu armed civilians versus 2.5 million well armed and trained men and women. Neither siude will give any quater and a civil war is imminent. We urge both sides to back down before more blood is shed. We also admonish the government for the murder of families and the suspension of elections, and have no choice but to recall our ambassador until elections are reinstated and the civil war is over. President Anderson has said today that he is concerned about the events in Exetonia. Speaking at a press conference earlier the President also informed the public that the USIHS Phantom Battle Carrier Group has been sent to the region to hopefully calm hostilites there. Further information is being withheld by the Defence Department under Claus IV of the Security Act.

The Armoured divisions have been released with artileery and infantry support to put down this rebellion. The armoured companies rolled accross the river Tamar with there artillery support and 150,000 crack Exetonian Elite guard. Their first target - Truro. Within 25 minutes, they had already come under fire and returned it wiping out an entire village in the cross fire. This was deemed collatoral damage. The rebellion in the area areas around exeter and Plymouth had died down. The people wern't willing to throw out a government that had held them through so much and so many victories.

Meanwhile, in Cornwall, the Exetonian MLRS division opened fire. 5 burts of 8000 rockets reigned down on the city followed by large explosions and drowned out screams. The few who decided to surrender were shot on site. Any survivors would be quizzed. If unarmed, they would be let go. If on the other hand, they were found to be carrying a gun, they would be executed.

The Shildonian Government is concerned by the reports of excessive amounts of force being used to put down this uprising, in particular the reports of executions of families of suspected rebels. While we respect Exetonia's right as a sovereign nation to carry out whatever punishment they deem fit, we feel that executing innocent family members to be somewhat excessive.
In light of these alleged human rights abuses, and the current unstable situation in Exetonia, we feel that it would not be appropriate for High Chairman Kevenich's visit to go ahead.

Via a secure method, the SecState, my brother Ryan, called me. "John, we have a serious matter on our hands. Exetonia has reported to be under a civil war, and I'm not sure who we should support."

"What's the situation?" I asked.

"Well, for one, after the Dictator Powell was assassinated--"

"What?! Oh man!"

"Yep. Now the people of Exetonia called for elections, but they were suspended, and the people have risen up against the government."

"And the government brutally suppressed it."

"Yup again. With families killed and everything."

"Wait a minute. Did you say that families were killed?"

Ryan sighed, knowing what's going to happen next. "Yes, John. Executed is more like it."

I swore (Sithspawn!). I rarely did, unless I was really angry. "Okay, start cutting ties with the nation, and recall the ambassador. Tell them, that we will not tolerate the execution of families, and that they will soon be sanctioned if they continue to violate international law. The NRTA is finished, unless they start new elections."

"Tony already recieved the order to get home, but we don't know if he made it yet."

"Great. Get the new leader on the horn and tell them that if the ambassador is so much as scratched, they will be held personally responsible."

"Right. Anything else?"

"Bring the military to Defcon 2, if it hasn't already."

"Bryan's already on it."

"Good. I trust he'll know what to do."

"He will, and John?"

"Yeah?"

"Be careful, wherever you are." Ryan knows, but just in case...

"Thanks." We hung up.

"Exetonia?" Naruto asked.

"Yup. Civil war, families executed, that sort of thing."

"So the alliance with them is finished?"

I sighed. "Yeah. I wish it weren't so. At least we have others."

A brown-haired man speaks to the nation about Exetonia.
"The Vice President will be speaking to the nation shortly, on the growing crisis in Exetonia. What the government's position until now was not clear, but there has been families executed, and numerous demonstrations against the new Exetonian government for it's bloodthirsty policies." He presses his finger to his ear. "Wait. He is going to speak now. We go live, to the Executive Mansion Press Room."

The screen switches to a youth standing on a podium. He is Vice President Bryan Sandler, my best friend.
"My fellow Coredians. The government of Exetonia has gone too far with it's policies. The murder of the families of dissidents is a crime that will not go unpunished. With the death of Dictator Powell, the nation has plunged into a bloody civil war, with the only rule, "Kill or be killed". Due to the human rights abuses of Exetonia," He holds up the NRTA document and rips it in half. "We henceforth cut all ties with Exetonia and recall the embassy there. Until the human rights abuses end immediately, and until real and fair elections are held, we shall issue a complete embargo against Exetonian goods."

Stunned silence at the breaking of the alliance and the embargo filled the room. Bryan continued, and looked straight into the cameras.
"To the leaders of Exetonia, we have recalled our embassy, and we demand that the ambassador and his staff to be sent home safe and sound, posthaste. If they are harmed, we will hold you personally responsible, whatever happens. We will continue to monitor events, and hope that the situation will be resolved."

Reporters jumped out of their seats and started shooting questions.
'Mr. Vice President, does this mean the NRTA is finished?"
"Sir, what's going to happen next?"
"What are you going to do now?"
Bryan ignored all the questions, and stepped out of the press room. He sighed, and spoke to a military attache. "Get the military to Defcon 2. If something happens, I want the armed forces to be ready."
"Yes, sir."

Vincent Hope, the newly-elected president of Adornia, stared long and hard at the television, for a few minutes after the broadcasts concluded.
"What to do?" he muttered to himself. "This civil war can't go on. Too many lives are at stake here."
He turns to his military advisors.
"Any suggestions?"
"Well, I don't think we should interfere at the moment sir."

This is a special announcement. We, the ENN hearby declare our support for these so called dissidents in light of recent events. The destruction a small village and the City of Truro has been deemed completly unnacceptable. Wait, we cross live now to our reporter in Cornwall.

There you have it. And this just in, the Government offices in Exeter have come under fire. EEG officers and their men are assulting the Offices of Gergory and are actually winning. Only his most loyal batallion are holding out. It would appear that this revolution has taken a new turn. This is now a call from any nation out there recieving this broadcast. We may be cut off at any time. If any nation is willing to hold a war crimes tribuneral for this man please do once he has been arrested. Preferably within a country that has a death penalty. The Death toll over here is at *sound of a missile in the background* Millions. Please, if you can here this, HELP

Even though our alliance with Exetonia is over, at least until new elections are held, Vice President Sandler has this to say to the people of Exetonia.
"We are quite glad that the civil war is nearing the end and are willing to help extradict this murderer to a war crimes trial in our Supreme Court. Furthermore, if they wish it so, we could send peacekeepers to help restore order."

The rogue EEG neared the main embasserial hall. Knowing full well this was Gregors last known position. The last of his EEG were on orders to give no quater. As the Dissidents entered the last hall way, the loyalists opened fire cutting many a man down.


*Meanwhile, inside the State room*

Gregor opened up the laptop on his desk. Before him, stood control of the JAXMi2 missiles. He pressed a button and metal pannels slipped down in the entire room sealing him in. A screen dropped from the sealing with target positions found. On the Laptop was the launch code procedure. He pressed the first key in and all the silos opened.

*Meanwhile, Onboard the ENV Shilder*

What, disarm, them.

"Yes sir" As the cadet pressed a button the computer spoke up.

The admiral nodded and the cadet kept working on the consol. The computer spoke again

Several 15mm machine guns dropped from the celling killing all the men onboard. This was happening accross the entire fleet.

*State Room*

Gregor laughed solid as he entered the final code. The countdown had begun. T-Minus 15 minutes to Armaggedon. At the Nuclear research facility in the mountains near truro Klaxons began to sound as the coolant system keep[ing all the uranium samples at a safe temperature shut down. The apocalypse was on it's way...

OOC: Are the missiles being launched? I'm confused.

The Federation of Glorious Humanity is shocked and appalled at the atrocities committed by the Exetonian government. We will support any effort to bring the people responsible for these crimes against humanity to justice.

ooc: Guys, this situation will all be resolved shortly. Thank you for suggesting your nations as war crimes courts but, he will no longer be around to prosecute. However, the rest of this current government will be. I will soon be having a new election and post the charges and defence for each man involved, It is your choice to vote in the new government and wether to find each man accused guilty or innocent

*10 minutes to the appocalypse*

The Dissident EEG and civilians were suffering heavy losses in the Palace hallway as well as the grounds. Men were falling all over. However, so were the loyalists. Ou of three regiments, only one squad was left inside the hallway and 2 platoons in the grounds. They were fighting a losing battle unaware of what Dictator Gregor was up to in the state room. There were shouts of agony howling all over the palace by now.

*5 minutes to the appocalypse.*

The Dissidents had suffered heavy losses but, had prevailed. There goal was in sight. The government officials bar Gregory had been rounded up and were being held as criminals whilst the door to the state room was being opened. To their horror, the dissidents found a metal door barring their way. Over the internal comm came the voice of Gregor:

"Fools, did you really think removing me would be that easy. watch as I wipe out your families in one last dash for power"

The comm cut. Head oif the Dissident EEG, Harold Powell, the dictators half brother took the decision to blow out the door. He took the grenades of all his men and wired them to the metal door. Then, he stood back with a wire and around a corner. he pulled the cord.

*4 minutes to the appocalypse*

There was a huge explosion and huge chunks of masonry flew off the side of the building as the explosion ripped out. There was a gaping hole in the metal door now but, as Harold stepped around the corner, he was met by a hail of fire from gregor. "You'll never take me alive" he screamed running from the state room. He approached the T-Junction in the corridor expecting no one to be there but, he was mistaken. Just seconds later he felt a bullet go into his chest from his back. A lonely citizen had shot him. No one knew his name at the moment. Soon he would be a national hero.

*3 Minutes to the appocalypse.*

The remmenants of the Dissidents inside the palace crowded into the blown out state room. In the middle sat the laptop still intact. An EEG officer walked up to the computer and saw to his horror what Gregor had done. He quietly sat down and began to hack the system. He had 2 and 1/2 minutes to stop the appocalypse. Every code he entered came back negative. He was stumped and running out of time. This went on for the next 2 minutes

*1 minute to the appocalypse.*

The EEG officer was getting tense. He was running out of time. Sweat was pooring from his forehead and his hands were going clamy. It was now or never as the countdown reached 15 seconds. He gave it one last try.

E-X-E-T-O-N-I-A-N G-O-V-E-R-N-M-E-N-T R-E-B-E-L-L-I-O-N

there was a two second delay then, a 5 seconds. The countdown terminated and all returned to normal except, the lab deep in the mountains near Truro. There was a massive explosion as the Uranium hit it's optimum level. The mountain collapsed in onitself with the resulting shockwave knocking down many a man. Luckily, the code had shut the access door to the site though, the loss of all the scientests including those from Dol-Suquait (ooc: is this ok with you dol suquait, it means cash for you) was not worth the cause. The civil war was over and those responsible in ciustody. On the laptop, Police found a hidden file implicating the entirity of the Exetonian Government in the murde of Robert Powell and the Minister for External affairs. The final death toll would not be known for days to come although, the effect was likely to be crippling for the Exetonian Economy. It would take many a year to recover and many a year for the people to rebuild but first, mnay peoiple had to be buried and this case closed forever. The Battle had been one but, the war for exetonia had only just begun.

The explosion in the hills near Truro was picked up on USIH satillites monitoring the area and word was immeadiately sent to the USIHS Phantom.

Three F/A-18s were dispatched from the carrier to investigate. They are approaching the area now. Search and Rescue helicopters are also being spun up and crewed with men in radiation-proof suits to search for survivors and bodies if this is requested by the new Exetonian Government.
