Everonian Military Industries Statement
At a press conference this month, EMI showed the world for the first time it's T-84-120 tank, known as the "Oplot".
"This tank is the child of east meets west engineering. It offers the best of both worlds, a Swiss cannon and a Russian chassis, a Everonian-made turret and autoloader have made considerable improvements over earlier Russian design." said Kozulev, CEO of EMI corporation during the press conference. Just after his speech, an example of the tank was rolled onto the showroom floor. This new tank is now being offered to the world for export with a very reasonable price tag.

Background
This vehicle had a new all-welded turret, ERA on the hull and turret fronts, Shtora defense system, 1200hp diesel engine, an auxiliary power unit, GPS navigation, new driver controls, NBC protection system, and a fire-detection/suppression system. While the standard T-84 stowed its ammunition in carousel-magazine on the turret floor, the T-84-120 had the ammunition stowed in the turret bustle behind armored bulkheads with blow-out panels on the roof. The autoloader has 22 rounds in the turret bustle with another 18 stowed in the hull. There is a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and a cupola-mounted 12.7mm machine gun for air defence and local protection. The 120mm smoothbore cannon has a fume extractor, fires all Western ammunition, as well as a 120mm version of the Russian 125mm laser-guided projectile.

Cool, what about the production rights?
Would it be possible to replace the Steel with Depleted Uranium as on the M1A1 Abrams?
If so what kind of cost might that incure?

Unlimited production rights are offered at 10 billion.

Very good question, I have a very nice version for you. The T-84-120SEP has layered Ceramic plating interspaced with depleted uranium, covered in Tungsten to protect against radiation. All of this comes at a hefty price though, 15 million USD for the upgraded version.

A Mi-2 lands on the rooftop of Hugoland's Military Industy Headquarters, a short man of 45 hops out of the helicopter. He is approached by two men in military attire. The men shake hands.
"Mr. Kozulev I presume?" says one of the men.
"That is correct, you must be?"
"General Miller, and this is my associate Major Grato."
Kozulev hands the general a Haliburten briefcase, in it contains the plans to the T-84-120. The general motions to Grato, he hands over a black leather case, in it the password to a swiss bank account, containing 10 billion USD.
"Thankyou for the business sirs," Kozulev shakes the men's hands and walks back to his Mi-2.

General Miller's chopter lands in the Imperial Palace, where is located the Communitary Council. He opens the door, and he walks into the Palace.
"Who are you?" - says a Elite Guard - "What are you doing here?"
"Calm down, i'm general Miller, i have a meeting with the President of the Council"
"Yes sir, i will show you the way"
They reach to the place, Miller is in front of a big oak door, he enters.
"Mr President, how are you?"
"I'm fine, Miller, do you have the plans with you?"
"Yes sir. They are right there"
"Great! Miller, good job! Let's start the production right now, i want 100 units per year"

Everonian Military Release
President of EMI Corp today announced mass production of the new varient of OPLOT. This new version is the T-84-120 SEP. Similar in physical shape and size, it uses an all new armor protection system. Instead of rolled Homogenous Steel, this new version uses spaced, layered composits of Ceramic Plates and Depleated Uranium. Ceramics protect against APSH and HEAT warheads, while the depleted urainum is capable of stopping SABOT and other Kinetic energy rounds. All of this is surrounded by Tungsten to protect from Fractures and Radiation released by DU Rounds. The Turret face and sides are completly encased in this new defence system is called CDUT armor. The Chassis has a thin layer of it on the bottom to make Anti tank mines virtually useless. The front is heavily fortified with CDUT, and ballistic skirts to cover the wheels are installed. This new system makes the OPLOT much heavier, combat ready at 68 Tons. A new engine was installed so there is no Performance loss. The engins is a local everonian made EV-1200DP. A V12 engine with over 1200 hp available. The engine can use Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosine. Top speed of the OPLOT SEP is 49 KPH. Fuel consuption rises due to heavier weight, so two 150 gallon drums are installed on the back of the tank, and can be jettisoned during emergencies.
The New tank sells for 13 million USD.
Building rights are 20 billion USD.

Price lowered to 10 Million USD for the SEP version. Just a note, Kontak 5 ERA recently proved to be a match for the Sabot round fired by the M1A1/A2 abrams.
Jane's International Defence Review 7/1997, pg. 15:
"IMPENETRABLE RUSSIAN TANK ARMOUR STANDS UP TO EXAMINATION
"Claims that the armour of Russian tanks is effectively impenetrable, made on the basis of test carried out in Germany (see IDR 7/1996, p.15), have been supported by comments made following tests in the US.
"Speaking at a conference on Future Armoured Warfare in London in May, IDR's Pentagon correspondent Leland Ness explained that US tests involved firing trials of Russian-built T-72 tanks fitted with Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armour (ERA). In contrast to the original, or 'light', type of ERA which is effective only against shaped charge jets, the 'heavy' Kontakt-5 ERA is also effective against the long-rod penetrators of APFSDS tank gun projectiles.
"When fitted to T-72 tanks, the 'heavy' ERA made them immune to the DU penetrators of M829 APFSDS, fired by the 120 mm guns of the US M1 Abrams tanks, which are among the most formidable of current tank gun projectiles.

OMFG! THE OPLOTS ARE COMING! RUN!!
What kind of name is OPLOT? Sounds like the name of a rabbit or something. 'I soiled my armor I was so scared!'--Brave Sir Robin, Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Thankfully, if any of these might be coming our way, we have the Holy Hand Grenade to take care of these OPLOT Bunny things.

Hello spammer person guy, OPLOT is an acronym from what I can tell. Being of Ukranian design, I think it is probably in their language. Whatever it is, stay out of this thread and please leave me and my business in peace.
With that out of the way:
@Red Tide- I will trade the production rights to the FAL and the ADVS-2 Nuclear engine (I wonder what I can do with a nuclear engine for a tank :P) for the production rights of the SEP version. The FAL Will be incorperated into all new tanks coming off the EMI line, and if any nation who has purchesed OPLOTs in the past and wants us to retrofit them with the new FAL autoloader, I am sure we can work out a deal.
@Tra Li- Order is confirmed and being sent to you as I type. :)
EXCELLENT! The plans are being sent to you via a secure e-mail line.
Also the nuclear engine allows your tanks not to use up gas and is very clean and efficient. Also due to the extra energy released it will cause the tank too go faster than normal.
