The Liberal Party, holding a 61% majority in the Cowes General Assembly, meets for its annual National Convention tommorow so that they will have a figurehead for elections on December 31. It is expected that a new Prime Minister will replace John Taylor this year, who has been considered unsatisfactory by most citizens in handling the terrorism problem.

The following political figures have put their names forward as candidates-

Robert Johnson - Current Ambassador General. His main interest is strengthening political ties around the globe for better security. Calls for a decrease in military spending and increase in Terrorism War budget.

Allen Ackman - Military Commander and Cheif - this is the fourth year Ackman has put his name forward as a choice. He calls for tripling military spending to fight terorrism.

George Owens - Deputy Governor General - calls for less international activity, and Cowes to resign from UN. Has several progressive social policies. Has no real terrorism policy. Most concerned with economy

Frank Lindemann - UN Ambassador - Unsurprisingly, calls for Cowes to take a more active role in the UN and help smaller, more developing countries. Hopes more active role in the UN will make other nations more willing to help protect Cowes.

John Taylor - Incumbent PM - Calls for Cowes to become more fiscally responsible and more enviromentally friendly. Asks other nations to help defend Cowes rather than developing a powerful military. Seen as most concerned of all candidates with civil rights and political freedoms.

The Convention asks for the opinions of the International Community on this.
